Not sure what Gohan is thinking here. How can a 1st Form Frost Demon ever hope to stop a Mystic Tier opponent, much less force him to change back? This is absolutely hopeless. Keep in mind he is likely to have the additional handicap of needing the Namekian to counter the life freeze. Remember how that worked out for U18 Vegeta in his conflict with a more closely matched adversary? The Chapter Title should give this away. U16 Gohan is dead.
DB Multiverse page 2724
On another note, based on this result, you have to give it to Ginyu. This is REALLY quick thinking on his feet.
DB Multiverse page 2724
Oh nooo! Poor Gohan! Ginyu will master his body in no time, as he did with Bra. Gohan has to know this because Vegetto brought him up to speed after that earlier fiasco. Even if Gohan can reach Cold's augmentation form, he is done for! The Ginyu commandos' reactions are so funny hahaha

Why would the main boss bother to tell the below-pions anything ?
Regarding the Ginyu Force specifically, nothing. But to their superiors (Frost Demons) & the respective rulers of U13/14, he had to give them some information to gain their trust & recruit them as allies. How do you think U13 Vegeta knew so much about his U18 counterpart? His defeats, constantly trailing Goku, etc. But I suppose telling the Ginyu Force about "Cold" was inconsequential. They weren't even smart enough to catch it while watching the tournament.
ChrisOfChaos jera drio dir:
If it's Cell, could be interesting if Ginyu decides to switch with him, and it would explain the chapter title.
This would be pretty awesome. Although Cold & Cell were "Majin" allies, Cell is acting independently here. But considering he is roughly Mystic Tier, he is not OP like Zen Buu. XXI still has avatars that could potentially challenge him if he chooses to fight. I'm certain that Cell knows about the body switch technique. If this confrontation takes place, it would be interesting to see if he has a counter. What Ginyu should do is switch bodies with Jeice, then switch with Cell. That way Cell is in a weaker body since Cold is still relatively strong. It would make more sense to have Jeice occupy Cold instead of Cell, because Jeice's body (or any of the other 2 quite frankly) is a LOT less valuable & can be easily killed. 2 Resposta/e
I'm surprised XXI didn't tell them. So the Ginyu squad still thinks their captain is dead.

I just had a thought! Ginyu could help his squad by finding warriors with more powerful bodies & playing musical chairs like he did with the Kaioshins during the Majin rebellion. Even in King Cold's body he is pretty weak compared to some of the other competitors. I'm sure he has a soft spot for his men who always stayed loyal.
Looking at the make-up of XXI's allies, I wonder what each of their end goals are? Unlike with Babidi, these fighters have their own free will & I am sure they are using this (maybe temporary) alliance to further their own ambitions.
Frost Demons would never submit to anyone indefinitely. They are probably looking to expand their own rule, perhaps in some corner of the multiverse. And to get their immortality wishes. This is also true for Emperor Vegeta. The Androids just want to kill some version of Goku.
What they all fail to realize, is the infinite danger that XXI represents. Especially U13, who (if we believe the main story) was given access to his thoughts. He will never be satisfied with just a few universes. He is coming for ALL of them. His "allies" will eventually become consumed like pawns. And none of them are strong enough to stop him. Not now, & certainly not millions of years in the future when he has even more powerful avatars.
The question is - if everything goes south & XXI finally makes his way to U4, could Zen Buu stop him?

I think he would, temporarily. For the promise of infinite universes of Saiyans to slaughter. Remember that the Frost Demons & the Androids also REALLY loathe the Saiyans. But they put that all aside for the bigger picture. Now, while Raichi's hatred is probably a bit more intense, he of all beings is capable of seeing & understanding that bigger picture 1 Resposta/e
Haha it would be cool to see Babidi & Raichi as allies to XXI here. The Majin spell might be redundant. But with access to Raichi's ghosts, he would have an even bigger army, with LSSJ Broly, & a second U13 SSJ3 Vegeta. Not sure if he was still around when Cell died. Bra & Gohan wouldn't be enough! Ginyu can take Vegitto's body in a second. To maximize Team XXI's advantage, Ginyu can switch body with Jeice (most likely the weakest) first then change body with Vegitto. So Jeice in Kind Cold's body and Ginyu in Vegitto's body. Then destroy Vegitto in Jeice's body, so everything is secured
Jeice would likely savor this because he is loyal to Ginyu (probably even more so than to Frieza). But Vegetto is very keen & he will be able to detect the ki signature & figure it out, especially having seen it all play out in person when Ginyu fought Bra, as well as Zen Buu's recollection of the Majin Rebellion that he relayed to everyone. In his base state, Vegetto is probably much stronger than Ginyu-Cold (original form) & he could react quickly enough. He would have to be otherwise distracted for this to work.
PS. I'm pretty sure Jeice is stronger than Butta (but slower). 1 Resposta/e

I'm not sure the clothes really make a difference. Individually, they are only capable of taking on low-level SSJ1 threats. This change is unlikely to contribute meaningfully to any battle at that level. Will their fused clothing also change? Time will tell.
A dual Gohan fusion would be unbelievably OP. For all their intelligence, I'm surprised they haven't thought of it. Granted, that consolidates 2 Mystic Tier individuals into one, but if there is a potential Vegetto-level threat facing them, it might be called for. Another reason why imprisoning U13 is a stupid waste of resources. Not to mention feeding them! Saiyans eat a lot haha.

This is not entirely true. U18 Vegeta straight up killed Cell with dirty tricks. And his final blow on Kakarotto was also a kill shot, if not for the immortality hack. On the contrary, he respected U12 Trunks, and his primitive counterpart wasn't even worth his time. Again, if he wasn't handicapped, he would have also killed U13 Vegeta. 1 Resposta/e

They haven't killed them because dying is still dying, even if it's only temporary. Why did Vegito get upset with Bra as a kid for killing Goten? Why were Gohan and Videl so upset when Pan died? The act of taking a life, even if that life will be revived later, is still wrong. Even if they come back later, they still have to go through the pain and trauma of death.
If U18 Vegeta wasn't handicapped, he would have killed them. It was a death match, lets not kid ourselves with morality. No difference if Bra did the same later. It is a waste of resources to imprison them, especially without, or even after interrogation. These are extraordinary circumstances, not training or a regulated tournament. 1 Resposta/e
When U18 Gohan visited their apartment & asked Kakarotto to refrain from using excessive violence, the others attacked him. This Vegeta was smart enough not to, even before he got his SSJ3. Gohan no-diffed U11 Buu (~SSJ3 tier) during the rebellion. Casually containing these clowns is a cake-walk for him.
On another note, I was worried about this outcome. Piccolo got mad at Bra for wanting to kill them. But in reality, she was right. Interrogate them & then kill them. They can be resurrected later. What difference would it have made if they died in combat against U18 Vegeta?. Gohan might not see himself as a combatant, but he held the line against U17 Cell. And he (along with his U16 counterpart) is the 2nd strongest in the group. He should be realistic. It is a waste to have him contain U13. He made/spoke his wish at the tournament in Namekian. I presume this wish was to let him access the entire multiverse. Did the U1 dragon grant the wish, or did Vegetto & the Life Freeze interrupt the execution of this wish?
I think it is in everyone's interest to make sure South Kai keeps the Life Freeze active indefinitely in U1 (so that the wish doesn't execute, assuming their dragon has that power) until they can kill XXI. I think mystic Gohan is weaker to U18 SSJ3 or atleast relative. Find it hard to believe u18 goku/ vegeta wouldn't surpasss gohan in 20 years. Gohan definitely above u13 vegeta
It is not even close. U18 Vegeta as a SSJ3 was still far below U17 Cell (Mystic Gohan Tier). This is why he had to use the transformation as a surprise (disregarding the shortened time limit). The novel also expands on this very clearly. Mystic >>> U18 SSJ3 & likely Gast too, from a strict power perspective.
Gunbuster jera drio dir:
Movie Janemba was stronger than SSJ3 Goku. Gast struggled with SSJ3 Emperor Vegeta, who was was weaker than Goku. Gast's not some untouchable powerhouse like Bra expected, he's just above SSJ3 overall and is probably closer to Gohan in overall power. It's just he has enough special tricks like being able to cut off your ki, heal himself with magic and whatever other spells he has going.
I hate to say this, but I think Gast is even below Gohan in power. If he was going toe-to-toe with U13 SSJ3 Ghost Vegeta, then that is likely his power tier. Remember that U18 SSJ3 Goku is more or less equivalent to Uub at Max Kaioken. The same Uub who fought evenly against U11 Buu. During the Majin rebellion, Gohan one-shotted Buu without any trouble. We also saw that SSJ3 Vegeta was nowhere near U17 Cell (Mystic tier) in power during their match. This means that after all those years of training, Mystic tier (Gohan/Cell) is still far above U18/U13 SSJ3 level & probably Gast as well. His magic & regeneration complement & round out his abilities to make him super dangerous of course. 1 Resposta/e

The upcoming sequences show Bojack being no-diff'd, but the Cell JR gave Vegeta a run for his money. Even Piccolo said they would be close in power disregarding the blade injury. Raichi's ghosts clearly improved throughout the tournament as his orb witnessed and likely adapted to the feats of the alternate versions of the ghosts. For example, the Broly from Raichi's universe was dealt with by an early SS Vegeta, but in the tournament, that same Broly proved to be a challenge that even Gast couldn't overcome. It's either that or poor writing in the scales of power, i dunno.
In this fight, Broly is just a SSJ1. When Raichi fought Gast, he came prepared & launched Broly in his LSSJ (invulnerable) form from the start. U13 Vegeta would stand no chance & thats why he didn't allow him the time to transform. Raichi learned from this, especially after seeing the U20 version fight Vegetto.
In an alternate timeline, I would have LOVED to see Raichi face XXI.
I imagine Seggui is about to get wrecked again. This sequence also explains why only Bojack could transform at the tournament. During the Broly fight, its revealed that Vegetto has never gone SSJ2 against Bra, meaning SSJ1 Vegetto > SSJ2 Bra. Put simply, Vegetto is way beyond Bra rather than "just a level" above her. So I don't think Vegetto's remarks mean anything as far as who is stronger between Bra and SS0 Goku. Bra couldn't even keep up with some part of Goku and Vegeta's exchange and even wants to learn the form herself in the panel you reference. And the fact that Vegetto is afraid they might catch up to him speaks volumes.
Vegetto's comments are absolutely relevant. He is only mad that he never thought of that transformation & is afraid that their creativity will eventually help them bridge the strength gap. He was very clear that "they are still infinitely weaker than me". Bra isn't "infinitely" weaker than Vegetto. At her best, he MUST transform to contain her. See the Ginyu-Bra segment. Bra only missed the first part of their fight because it caught her by surprise (Page 2170). For reference, Gohan had no issues keeping up because he was paying attention from the start. And we know she is stronger than him. SSJ0 is nowhere near Vegetto or Bra.
At the end of the day, it is a waste of resources to use heavy hitters to imprison U13. I would guess that after interrogation, Piccolo will help them with the Mafuba & seal them in some more of those tiny pods (if they have any left) that they used to store their dead.

It doesn't make sense to disable your heavy hitters to imprison U13. They're already at a disadvantage, having to depend on weak Namekians for their life support. The Cell Jrs seem more friendly. The real problem is that Gohan brushed them off after the rebellion & Vegeta was less than amicable with them after his fight with their father. So they might have reason to not work with the Z fighters. However, in the encounter with Cell earlier, the Cell Jrs were notably absent. Meaning that they likely haven't figured out the bubble technique. They are certainly capable. If the Namekians find them, it might foster another working relationship seeing that they would effectively have been rescued.

Why didn't U18Vegeta transform to SSJ0 preemptively?
The form supposedly was made to counter the drawback of SSJ3, so no constant energy depletion.
Going into the unknown, where he might have to fight and won't have a minute to transform, seems like he blundered not transforming in advance.

Honestly, I kinda agree with this. I don't think he gave any thought to the dynamics of a potential fight beforehand. He literally just told Gohan that he fights at his best without anyone to protect. The namekian is necessary, but why take Pan? And on the subject of SSJ0, I'm still unclear about the energy drain. In the Goku vs Vegeta fight, after a while, Pan was able to follow their movements. That means they eventually slowed down. Is that a function of the battle fatigue, or does the form eventually deplete them (but just a lot slower than SSJ3)?
XXI would have had a field day if Raichi was still around. He would have every reason to ally with XXI so as to easily access other universes with Saiyans. Right now XXI's army is small, but if he had the use of Raichi's ghosts, U16/U18 would really have their hands full. Imagine Ghost Broly, Hatchyak, Janemba, & 2 x SSJ3 U13V! Even Bra would be overwhelmed.

Well to be fair, based on the Majin rebellion - Bra does have some experience fighting while protecting another entity. Truth be told, she should just IT & cut U13V in half.
Keep in mind also that Kakarotto is immortal. Although he would take some time to regenerate (remember how Gohan pieced him up & took him out of commission).
Nappa is & will always be a non-factor.

Or it could be South Kai with one of the others. Not sure if the other gods have any immunity to the time skip. South fought almost evenly with U11 Majin Buu, so he would be roughly equal to U13V in SSJ3.
I think it's Gast/Vegeto or some other Namek with U16/U18 fighters. There is a very clear protection bubble around them. Uub wouldn't know about this.
There is no way SSJ1 Pan is stronger than SSJ2 Kakarotto. Nappa for sure. She gave up in their match (Kakarotto) when he was still SSJ1.
Edit: I see he was talking to Nappa.
PS:
That silhouette looks like a large Namekian, which would imply Gast. In the Raichi (Ghost SSJ3 Vegeta) fight, they were not that far apart from a power scaling perspective, which puts him below the Gohan-Cell-Bra tier. I doubt his SSJ-cancelling technique would work since XXI gave them immunity to magic. This fight is FAR from one-sided. If he gets to U18V & heals him, they stand a chance. Also, since Videl saw the beacon, U16/18 fighters are guaranteed to also show up.
If this is indeed Gast, where is Vegetto? They were launched together when XXI exploded.

Really hoping U18V can get some redemption. I didn't like seeing him almost get clowned by Bra (in her SSJ1 form no less), right after seeing his children dead in front of him. And now he has been severely beaten & injured by his inferior counterpart, who wisely took advantage of his handicap.
His notion about fighting at his best without others to protect has turned out to be true here. I think the mini Cells (after learning the protection bubble) would be perfect allies in this type of fight - in the same manner as their efforts to augment Gohan during the Majin rebellion.
I've said this before, but U13V really isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. It is obvious that the Namek is carrying the protection. U18V has literally carried & held him during the fight. Also, he knows they have majic & healing. This wouldn't be an unreasonable extrapolation of their abilities. 1 Resposta/e

This would also be ironic since U18V gave Uub such a hard time about not being careful (lack of regeneration) when fighting the Heloite & losing his arm. Now Uub would help him to get his back.

Yes, the mini cells should be able to learn the protective bubble technique. See Page 2577. They can really come in clutch here, just like when they augmented Gohan's abilities in the Majin rebellion by effectively adding teleportation to his skill set. They can even take it up another notch if they utilize their namekian telepathy.

I agree with this. So far he is doing great, fighting with one arm. Since SSJ3 is limited, I wonder who will run out of stamina first? Did the XXI upgrade reduce the SSJ3 drain on U13V?
Melee combat is great (Saiyans love this), but all bets will be off once the cutting techniques emerge. As far as we know, neither Vegeta can regenerate. Uub should really teach his "heal" technique to his compatriots.
PS. Nice detail with Pan grabbing Vegeta's clothing (as opposed to just resting her arm on his shoulder previously). She is holding on for dear life & also very much in this fight! It depends on where he's going. U13V doesn't seem to be very sharp. He is just a few meters away. If I were U18V, I'd IT behind U13V & slice him in half. Now if the XXI upgrades allow for regeneration, then that changes everything.
Lets also remember that C18 is on her way back to warn him. So our heroes have lost any surprise element.
Now would be a good time for Gast/Vegetto to show up.
And we have ourselves a fight!
I'm still curious how U18V will overcome his limitation? Ordinarily I would call U13V a coward for using such low tactics, but he IS Vegeta. U18V showed this also against Cell. Now it is working against him.

U18 SSJ3 Goku/Vegeta = UUB, who fought evenly with U11 Majin Buu. That Buu was curbstomped by Gohan (no-diff) at the start of the rebellion. It is clear that the U18 SSJ3 level is easily one tier below Ultimate Gohan & U17 Cell in terms of raw power.
When Gohan visited U13, that Vegeta hadn't unlocked SSJ3 at that point. His SSJ2 would be yet another tier below. He knew he was far outclassed.
I think I have an idea on how U18V can easily win. U13V is so arrogant & cocky that it would be easy to catch him off guard like Cell. U18V has Instant Transmission. Transform into SSJ3, grab the Namek & IT behind U13V. Slice him in 2. Pan can be unfrozen when this is done. With this, XXI's most powerful fighter (other than Janemba, if he is still in play) is neutralized.
DB Multiverse page 2632
U13 Vegeta is delusional. He has to know that U18 Vegeta is stronger than him in EVERY form. This was proven in the tournament as well as their confrontation on the asteroid during the Majin rebellion. He still hasn't figured out that his U18 counterpart is bound to the Namek. He is not very sharp.
On the other hand, regardless of strength, U18 Vegeta is severly compromised in his movements. This has been stated multiple times. I'm curious to see how he overcomes this limitation. Whatever fighting strategy he employs could also be used by the others. I personally think that the mini Cells (after learning the bubble technique) would come in really clutch here. 1 Resposta/e

I'm guessing this namekian can read minds. His advice may very well be solid. With his injury, they are out of options other than "talk no jutsu". Remember also the chapter title.
Seeing that U13 Vegeta hasn't figured out "how" they're not frozen, I'm surprised that he has the balls to approach. He knows that U18 is FAR superior, based on witnessing the tournament fights as well as their brief confrontation on the asteroid during the Majin rebellion. The XXI upgrades (other than magic immunuty) are pretty meaningless, because C18 was still very weak. In any case, this will be Vegeta vs Vegeta round 2.

He went SSJ2 for the chase & seems to have scratches after that ki blast. I think only U13 Vegeta could have done that. Not to mention the chapter title. With an injured namek, he is at a severe disadvantage here.
Going back to Bardock's vision where Goku is shaking hands with the Cell Jr. My guess is that the Cell Jrs (when they eventually find them) will also learn the protective bubble technique. The U16/18 crew are strong but they will have a severe handicap fighting like this. Vegeta is literally carrying the namek in this scene.
Since Cell is both strong & self-sufficient (along with intimate knowledge of namekians & the mechanics of the protective bubble), he will be the REAL wildcard. I bet he just wants to just get out of this nightmare & go back to U17. He has no real dreams of multiverse conquest like Frieza etc. He just to find strong challenges here & there from his Saiyan dna. Too bad Raichi went home. This would be a perfect opportunity for him to ally with XXI & hunt saiyans in other universes.

Based on this page, whatever upgrades were given to C18 (by Zen Buu & XXI) didn't really amount to much. Vegeta here is only in SSJ1.
As bad as this situation is, I think once the other universes start to combine their skills & work together, XXI may face a real challenge. But our heroes would be well served to remember that they have no dragon balls, senzu beans, or even food (unless Piccolo & co. can use magic to provide nutrition).
Other significant wildcards to consider:
1. Gast who is sure to have mastered the technique & could likely make a huge protective bubble.
2. Vegetto. He was in close proximity to Gast when this kicked off.
3. Uub & his GF. Both pretty strong. Not sure how the life freeze will affect them.

It would be a great fight if Emperor Vegeta shows up. From the novel, his SSJ3 was close to U18 Vegeta's SSJ2. Maybe with the boost from XXI, they would be more closely matched.
Of all the fighters aligned with XXI, he is by far the strongest. However, with them spread out searching for the dragon balls, he can't be everywhere at once as backup. Unlikely that he learned IT.

Here is a theory. The Namekian protective bubble may work in the opposite manner as the life freeze on XXI's crew. In other words (like a double negative), it would freeze them! So all Vegeta has to do is get close! That would even things out eh?

Vegeta needs to somehow maintain contact with the Namek (just like the mini Cells did with Gohan), then use his teleportation to close any gaps. That is the only way I see him overcoming this limitation.
DB Multiverse page 2626
XXI's crew likely spread out to also look for the Dragon Balls, but I highly doubt she is alone. C18 is of course no match for U18 Vegeta at this point. He could likely solo C17 & C18 in SSJ1 (He is stronger than every single fighter that sided with XXI, including his U13 counterpart). His only handicap is having to fight while also dependent on a small protective bubble. Very curious to see how this turns out. Keep in mind, the others can't feel thier energy. Maybe this Namek is telepathic?

He is teaching U16 Trunks the updated fusion technique that Zenn Buu had shown him in his "dream". Oddly enough U18 Trunks fused with U16 Goten during the Majin rebellion. I'm uncertain if U16 Goten taught his Trunks how to do the new fusion.
Although U12 (Future) Trunks is more battle tested, he is still just SSJ1, with mastery over grade 2. He is definitely stronger, but I would guess roughly in the same "tier" as U16/U18 Trunks - below SSJ2. All that said, such a fusion would be much more powerful. Right now it is not possible because U12 Trunks (as well as C16) is still unaccounted for.

If I'm not mistaken (per the novel), U18 Trunks & U16 Goten fused during the majin rebellion when they were stranded on that distant planet. That Gotenks was an inter-universal fusion. I'm not sure if that was the upgraded fusion. U16 Goten obviously didn't show his Trunks the new technique if he is just learning it here.
