Thanks to everyone, I'm glad you like the art, especially Bulma who gave me a really hard time. I was not convinced with the result (female eye in Toriyama's style is really specific)

Just been thinking - King Piccolo is released by the Pilaf Gang in Age 753 in U18 isn't he?

With this page occuring in U3 in Age 752, I see three sets of possibilities:

a) King Piccolo was somehow released earlier here and is already causing havoc. The saiyans' arrival will force Kami to fuse with him.

b) The saiyans spend a year trashing Earth. Pilaf releases King Piccolo around the same time as in canon for his own ends. The King later fuses with Kami to defeat the saiyans. Kami hopes his influence will temper King Piccolo's subsequent rampage.

c) Someone or a group releases King Piccolo early specifically to combat the saiyans, hoping Piccolo is more amicable. Kami, knowing King Piccolo won't be enough, fuses with him afterwards. Perhaps Kami himself is the one who released Piccolo, as not many people know Piccolo was a real figure and not myth, that he's imprisoned (or even still alive), let alone that he could trounce the saiyans if fused with Kami. That rules out a lot of people.

I really hope Vegetto and Gast can stop Buu.

I feel disappointed in the conclusion, so I edited the last 3 pages a little bit to give you an alternative take on it.



And then you would have Bra as a character who has accepted death but would be proven wrong later in the story when she has to protect U16 against Vegetto and XXI.

Now that's more like it! Much more meaningful and with character development to boot. I was going to just cut out the past few pages like it never happened, but this would just about salvage the entire conclusion to the arc.

The Big Gete Star and Dr Raichi are right. After the whole comic is over and everyone goes back to their universes, "not my problem" should be Vegito's response to everything. Apparently no one appreciates or respects his decades of protecting everyone, so why keep doing it?

After 10 years, this is my last post on DBM. Stouty and I are both leaving, since we’re frustrated with the direction the story’s taken.

Characters were retconned or acted out-of-character to make this possible. I recommend reading Genghis Khan’s https://dbmenglish.freeforums.net/post/55207">forum post about how Vegito isn’t as bad as he’s painted. But Gotenks, U18 Bra—even Pan and Vegeta (who’s been silent as he’s been called out by Gotenks) have acted inconsistently.

Duder, she just said she is done trying to be stronger than you in world exploding ways. Bra wants to be her own person who isn't afraid to speak truth to power like the other Bra. She's achieved Gohan status.

I've been ignoring the novel cause I've heard there are some serious problems with it's consistency, and after this I sure as hell won't read any more of it, specially translated. At the very least something is really clear now, the novel isn't canon, specially not the one that most people read here, in english.

To me this shows multiple things, kakkarot is immortal but it also shows that while he won't be able to die he can't regrow his limbs which is why he won't be joining the fight after Gohan punched his body out of existence

I’m taking note of all the people who used to contest kakarot being immortal but now have completely jump shift and think kakarot is going to stay immortal. It’s like you’re on a ship, and after some turbenlence, members jump off the ship immediately - ignoring and forsaking their vassals and crew members.

This is complete BS. Either the novel is a lair, or kakarot loses his immortality.

It's really weird Kakarotto isn't doing anything during Bra's fight if he's still alive. I blame this for my misjudgment.

Technically speaking, Garlick Jr would be the "can't die from old age" kind of immortal since no one did major damage to him like, say, cut off his head.

First off: technically speaking, an immortal is just someone who can't die from old age, often depicted as not aging. Vampires, for example, are immortal. To be immune to death via damage or disease is to be invulnerable, and the two are not mutually exclusive (such as staking a vampire in the heart). By definition, if Kakarotto were immortal, most of these things would still kill him (and yes, I realize DBZ uses the terms interchangeably, but frankly they aren't interchangeable, they're two completely different things).
