You keep saying that about Tien, and it confuses me. What other choice did Tien had in this situation? It's not like anybody told Nasu to jump in and hold Vegeta in place. They tried to convince him to join them from the very start. Nasu decided to sacrifice himself on his own. Should they've let this opportunity be wasted? Vegeta would've dodged or sent the spirit bomb back 100%, if Nasu didn't jump in. It was a "now or never situation".
You make it seem like Tien really enjoyed killing Nasu, which is really weird thinking imo.

Goku wouldn't transform into a Super Saiyan against the weakest possible fodder, or even against someone his level if it's unnecessary (he never goes full power from the start against anyone unless absolutely sure that he needs to, because he likes to fight and enjoy it). Especially when Piccolo is around as well and could deal with them all in seconds.
Now it would maybe make sense if it was Turles' squadron (just make them stronger, it's fine), or at least the Cooler's special force like in the movie but they were already dealt with by Vegeta.
Goku didn't even use Kaio-ken against most of the Ginyu Force, why would he use Super Saiyan here?

Another thing.. This would be considered part of the training for Gohan and the others. Why deal with it quickly when it's such a perfect opportunity to check how far has everyone come since Saiyans and Namek?

They are home. Whis pointed this Zamasu in the right direction. They needed to save their new home. Now they get to live in it. I'm sure this was also personal for Trunks, who likely feels he failed to save his original time.

The kind of ending which Trunks deserves. I really liked this Zamasu. Shows how it's possible to lead him on a proper path.

Except there is no "Trunks" half. That's not how Kaioshin fusions work.
Look at Elder Kai or Kibitoshin. Both completely get rid of one fusee and only the Kai lives. There is no sight of witch's personality or thoughts in Elder Kai, and the same goes for Kibito in Kibitoshin. They're gone.
Vegetto is a combination because Goku and Vegeta are mortals on a similar level, and definitely the mortal status.

Zamanks here is purely Zamasu, who got the powers of Trunks on top of his own.

I don’t love the fourth-wall breaks and humor in these pages. I feel like it takes away from the seriousness of the situation — there’s a time and place for that kind of stuff.

I feel like they're just meant for us to explain why they’re not doing certain things, but a Salagir comment, like he often does, would fit better.

Honestly, I'm kinda of surprised Goku hasn't found a way to counter the time stop spell yet. Like, what if the reason Goku jumped out of the bubble to talk with Cell was because he knew a way to counter the time stop, or at least thought he did?

That said, just because he had Goku's body doesn't mean he inherently knows how to make the same use of it that Goku did (or presumably he'd have gone super saiyan 3 or something). Remember how Ginyu tried to use Goku's body and couldn't get it to work right, which is why he tried to switch to Vegeta?

Also, fusion is supposed to be busted strong. It's not just A + B, it's some multiple. That said, Black abusing the zenkai boost (via immortality) is probably the only reason that this fight is apparently as close as it is (besides writer's bias, of course).

I don't think anyone expected XXI having I'K'Ls ability.

I have to agree with what others are saying. Just because DB itself overlooks details at times doesn't mean it's a good thing. I honestly would've preferred if the counter somehow took advantage of the known limitations of the technique, i.e. not being able to affect mechanical creatures. Or otherwise, the vibrations being a solution could have been hinted at beforehand.
