A brand new chapter I haven't posted anywhere before! The story will continue and hopefully some questions about this timeline/universe will become clear.

I've been working hard on new chapters and so far it's been a blast! Hope folks will enjoy this new story, thanks so much!

Imma have to agree, albeit to a degree - idk if I'd take it as far. But yeah, in the og, Videl's mom died of an illness, I think. And she was a model, if I recall correctly, not a martial artist, though I'd forgive that much. The only time I know when Videl's mom was ever described as dying due to crime was the Buu Bits, which even Abridged Videl says isn't actually true, since dying of cancer doesn't really make for a great backstory for a crime fighter.

No, he always was the original Super Saiyan. His spirit went on after his death fighting against the evil Saiyan (in this case Kanba) to share the legend of the Super Saiyan God.

Bora (Upa's dad) likely has superhuman strength (probably stronger than early DB Goku prior to Bora still meeting Goku). The guy could tank machine gun fire but Mr. Satan nearly died from a bullet. Legan is likely weaker than Mr. Satan so she can't tank bullets neither.

Ah yes let's completely forget about a fundamentally different physiology of Saiyans. Because power level is all that matters.

So I guess Goku could've survived the Namek explosion no problem (and even split in half) because he was stronger than Freeza, who did survive.

Curious why he had to take a beating before unleashing his power? Was he just gauging the ale? Not sure why he had to absorb all that damage first.

Except that Legan is just a normal human, unlike Goku who has a Saiyan body. Also, even if she’s very strong, she’s not on the level of someone like Master Roshi or Grandpa Gohan (even they can stop bullets with their bare hands, by the way).

Mr. Satan in the Buu saga, who is also a martial arts expert (and apparently stronger than Legan since he’s won world championships), was knocked to the ground when a thug shot him. If Buu hadn’t saved him, he would have died.

Frieza gets beaten in exactly the same way on Namek, and even though he’s badly injured, he clearly survives—same thing for Taopaipai.
You’re going to say, “Yeah, but they were half-dead and then repaired.”

Sure—but they still survived despite the fact that it looked like they were completely disintegrated. In Frieza’s case, he survived a full-power ki blast while being cut in half, plus a planet exploding on top of that—and he still makes it out with just a few metal parts. So Chilled tanking a blast like that isn’t inconsistent if you compare him to Frieza.

Here, you’re basing your argument on the idea that he could have died. But he didn’t. Simple conclusion: Chilled is extremely physically durable.

I don’t think Vegeta cares about the balance of the universe. I think he just believed that fighting someone like Frieza 1v1, the way Goku did, was the way to unlock Super Saiyan.

If you think about it Cooler (as far as we know) never had beef with Vegeta. Vegeta sought him out solely for being Frieza's brother.

I assume the clone is made of Goku, it's a world where Red Ribon Army won, beat Goku and created his clones instead of cyborgs

In movie, Cooler decided to not blow up earth directly to kill Goku because of his pride. Cooler wants to kill Goku with his own hands.

Metal Cooler keeps Vegeta & Goku alive because he wants their energy.

Killing Vegeta right away would be his character considering he immediately deliver a finishing blow after Goku survived his eye beam and fight back.

The story could be better if it doesn't OOC Cooler.

The move of choking Vegeta's neck and throwing him onto his capitol street is a extremely out-of-character move.

This is something I can get behind. We already know he hasn't completely digested everything he's ever consumed, so it would be quite fitting the Z-Sword, due to it's magical properties, couldn't be digested. Great pull!

You keep saying that about Tien, and it confuses me. What other choice did Tien had in this situation? It's not like anybody told Nasu to jump in and hold Vegeta in place. They tried to convince him to join them from the very start. Nasu decided to sacrifice himself on his own. Should they've let this opportunity be wasted? Vegeta would've dodged or sent the spirit bomb back 100%, if Nasu didn't jump in. It was a "now or never situation".
You make it seem like Tien really enjoyed killing Nasu, which is really weird thinking imo.

Cooler's basic soldiers attacked Earth and stumbled upon Goku). Why is he in simple SSJ mode when facing them? Firstly, because Cooler must be aware that this is THE Super Saiyan XD
And also because when your planet is attacked by uninteresting soldiers, you make sure it's dealt with quickly, even when you're Goku.

Goku wouldn't transform into a Super Saiyan against the weakest possible fodder, or even against someone his level if it's unnecessary (he never goes full power from the start against anyone unless absolutely sure that he needs to, because he likes to fight and enjoy it). Especially when Piccolo is around as well and could deal with them all in seconds.
Now it would maybe make sense if it was Turles' squadron (just make them stronger, it's fine), or at least the Cooler's special force like in the movie but they were already dealt with by Vegeta.
Goku didn't even use Kaio-ken against most of the Ginyu Force, why would he use Super Saiyan here?

Another thing.. This would be considered part of the training for Gohan and the others. Why deal with it quickly when it's such a perfect opportunity to check how far has everyone come since Saiyans and Namek?
