I'm just kind of a dork who's been a fan of Dragon Ball most of my life. I'm sort of a second generation in a way, since I was introduced to it by my father's interests, but I've gotten incredibly interested in the story and done as much research as I possibly can to better understand the source material and it's origins. I've written some DB fanfiction in the past (though hardly anything worth noting), roleplay random things with my friends on discord, and have dreams of becoming a professional writer in my own right in the future.
I enjoy TFS, MistareFusion, and a number of other Dragon Ball fan media, most it serving as fantastic inspiration for my passion for writing itself.
Goku's also my favorite Dragon Ball character, because I'm a bit of a basic bitch like that. Call me crazy, but I enjoy his optimistic attitude and perspective on strength too much to really favor his son or rival on that front.
Here's hoping Multiverse doesn't forget him just because of people's usual complaints about him~!

Also, regarding South galaxy... that's just lame special filler. It's just one of many egregious examples of wild inconsistencies present in the fillers. Thankfully, saligir has kept his manga at least as consistent to the main storyline manga as he can. Ssj1 is planet busting levels, galaxy busting is absurd, especially for someone who can't teleport and easily dies inside an ordinary star.
South Galaxy being destroyed comes from the original movie that Broly was made for. It's not 'filler' because it's not filling in for time or anything of the like. It's not even a part of the television continuity in anyway. It's a separate piece of media from the TV show that's released separately as well. Filler isn't the word you're looking for.
You are right though. Broly's power was slightly scaled back from that. Paragus only mentions the Legendary Super Saiyan is destroying 'planets' back in the redone special. 1 Replie(s)

Let me make sure I understand.
Universe 20 Broly is a version where "Broly was lucky enough to survive his second encounter with our heroes". Encounters/Events:
1. New Planet Vegeta Defeat
2. Earth Defeat
— Banished from Tournament
— Back to Earth
— Earth Destroyed
So we don't know what the outcome will be.

No. As per the universe page on this very website:
'Broly was lucky enough to survive his second encounter with our heroes: And won the third.'
Not only does this guarantee Broly wins this fight, it also sorta implies that this Broly exists BEFORE he fought Vegito. This is how Broly ends up in the ice in a dead universe. 1 Replie(s)

Not ready for this level... yet? This has to be Goku talking. Does Goku actually think Uub could ever be ready for this level?
I mean, he's supposed to be the reincarnation of Kid Buu, and while Kid Buu wasn't THIS strong by any means, Uub has all that power and the potential to get even STRONGER than that.
So yeah, I mean, he probably can, at least in theory. 1 Replie(s)
I'm starting to think I understand why this Broly storyline feels so off compared to the other 'bad guy wins universe' events. Those always spiraled off of canon events we understood. There was some mistake or event during an important fight that just leads to the death of everyone. Some of these universes are especially altered to allow for the villains to live (Freeza's universe, for example), but a lot of them are just basically 'X, so good guys don't win'. That's what happens with Cell, Bojack, Zen Buu, etc.
This one is so weird because it's based off the idea that there was a SEPARATE fight that happened because Broly happened to survive. The implication that seems to accidentally be built is that it's the mere act of Broly SURVIVING that leads to him killing everyone. It isn't the Z-Fighters making a mistake in battle leading to their demise, which is a human and tragic moment. Instead, it seems like 'Broly wank' because Broly only wins because he didn't die before.
Without an alternate example of the good guys actually winning this fight, it feels a bit insulting. Sure, we can assume there is a universe where that happens based on how the Multiverse works, but we're not SEEING IT, so the story is clearly pushing a certain narrative, unintentionally or otherwise.
Still though, this fight has certainly been fun, and going back to reread it without waiting for each page makes it clear it flows pretty well. It's fun, and unique from the rest, so I can't quite knock it completely. I just wanted to put into words why I think me and so many others feel insulted by the idea that the Dragon Team screws up this hard. Without seeing a universe where they don't, it gives off certain connotations.

You'd think Majin Buu of all people would know that getting the stupid monster angry would be a bad move. After all, he WAS one.

Grey_Sky was saying:
Broly being literally invulnerable will never not be retarded.
I'm not exactly saying I disagree, cuz I think it's kind of a silly direction to take him of all people, but from a sheer story and variety sense, has anyone been able to like, properly explain the issue?
Most times I hear people call it stupid are when they're just like "Okay but that's not what happens in the movie though" despite the movies not being canon and DBM pretty consistently disregarding non-canon material unless he alters to fits it into the timeline in whatever way he deems fit. 1 Replie(s)
RockyJoe was saying:
Broly ain't invulnerable. Remember when Goku punched a damn hole in Broly's stomach, exploding and killing him?
Unfortunately, that's not how it works in Dragon Ball Multiverse. Way back in the first Broly special, they changed the ending completely into being a spirit bomb that blasts Broly away.
Obviously, he survived that.
Broly being invincible is something that's been told to us since Vegito V Broly way back when. I don't exactly like it, but it's the 'canon' here.
Gotta admit, I like this 'Mr. Zen-Buu' design. It's a bit silly, but like, in a weirdly cool way. Perfect for such a Toriyama creation.

Another chapter of Broly, boys!
I'm sorta disappointing that we have to wait even LONGER to get back to the plot, but eh, at least it eases my worries about the pacing.
Neat classic style cover though! Reminds me of the old volume sets, somehow.

Broly's gonna Broly, I suppose. Artwork is so good here though that it's almost a detriment. This is nothing we haven't ALREADY SEEN or expected from the Legendary Super Saiyan at this point.
This stuff's always way better to read through binging, evidently.
Still, we're running out of pages, so I wonder if this is actually gonna be a double chapter, or if Broly's about to one shot everyone in one go, now that he's already FAR beyond the gang.

"We'll shoot all three of us at the same time"
Found the problem in the plan, guys. You should probably be shooting Broly, but that's just me.

I've always thought the translation in this comic could use some work in places. The 'passive' situation from awhile back kinda proves it.
Does lead to some confusingly funny bits of writing like this though. It doesn't hinder too much, since it's easy to piece together what they mean, but it REEKS of needing a better translation.
Brolunite was saying:
Gonna say Broly has already charged a massive blast and is about to annihilate them
Hadn't thought about that initially, but that might be the best bet. He's saying "Already?!" Because Broly's already recovered, and they're ALREADY dead.
Anyone else not exactly sure what just happened? I have to assume Broly did something akin to digging his palms into the blast to make it explode prematurely, but I don't think that's conveyed super well.
Regardless though, things aren't looking good. They blew perhaps the best chance they had of nipping this problem in the bud, and now Goku's looking off in pure fear and panic. I have a feeling his concern is pointed towards Broly's power skyrocketing again. Broly was getting WAY stronger WAY faster than he reasonably should have back in the fight with Vegito, and I think this Goku is discovering that the Legendary Form is evolving himself now. He's probably too strong for them to budge at this point.
I heavily doubt Gotenks just defused. He literally just appeared, it'd be ridiculous for him to have defused off screen when we haven't seen him for more than a few pages. They've at least gotta give us a hope spot with him fighting before he screws up, right? 1 Replie(s)

I mean, considering Broly probably just WIPED ALL OF IT OUT with his arrival, I think that's already said and done XD.
If Krillin couldn't survive that shockwave, no way regular people did.
Finally decided to make an account to talk about things, despite being a lurking fan for more than a few years. With recent events, it seemed like the right call.
This chapter has certainly been a really interesting one. As per usual, the release schedule of pages makes the story FEEL like it's coming out fairly slowly, but in terms of standard pacing, reading what we have beginning to end, it feels like it flows perfectly, and serves as a surprisingly entertaining chapter. Not focusing on Broly throughout most of it, but instead on the sheer threat he displays is a really good call. He's this unstoppable object that they're throwing everything at, buuuut obviously that's not gonna work out.
I wonder HOW they're going to mess up though, since this plan worked just fine in every other universe. They just missed here.
Presumably, he's too strong or adapted to it after barely surviving last time, but since Broly's a bit of a beserker, I can't imagine any counter he has would be incredibly complex. Burrowing straight through it seems to be the plan at the moment, or ripping it half and parting it like it was the red sea. Either way, it'll be interesting.

Each individual death Broly causes, why this plan doesn't work, what Piccolo and Buu are planning, etc...
...I'm GUESSING Broly'll counter this, Gotenks, Piccolo, and Buu will somehow manage to do something to push them back, but Broly does SOMETHING inside the sun so catastrophic that it pretty much ends everything in one go. Only way I can see everyone dying in one quick go, here...
...that still doesn't explain why they wouldn't just go back from otherworld to stop him though. Broly and Buu are pretty much equivalent universal threats, so Broly has to do something so horrid it WIPES OUT THE AFTERLIFE. 1 Replie(s)

I'd personally consider that a MASSIVE stretch of the term, since it's not 'filling in' anything, it's COMPLETELY additive, but still. You're right that it's basically nitpicking, I just wanted to get that off my chest since it bugged me.
Everything about the South Galaxy thing you said is true though! 1 Replie(s)
