I feel like they haven't really tried as hard as they think they have on Gohan. These are Strangers to him, why would he join them? He knows they weren't there for Goku when he died, while the sayains were strong enough to Kill Goku and (for the most part) have accepted him.

In this universe, that conversation never happened, so the Saiyans and Frieza don't know about the dragon balls, and therefore wouldn't target planet Namek. During the years that Gohan spent with the Saiyans, the remaining Z fighters could have traveled to Namek and borrowed their dragon balls to revive Goku and Piccolo.

Nobody, here, know about Namek. They knew about Namek thanks to Nappa. Here, nobody knows about that.Piccolo and Kami didn't know they were namekians. So, how could they know about Namek?

so Piccolo is dead meaning Kami is dead. No Earth Dragon Balls. I guess Popo will be the one that will spill the beans about Namek. They could go to Namek.

However they'd be at a huge disadvantage since Goku is dead and not in a hospital. Each of the power levels are in the low hundreds and friezas guards are in the mid hundreds to 1000s.
