Again powerscaling is off. There are no absorption models that are stronger than android 16, 17, and 18. It’s even implied Gero decided to make 19 because the androids were too powerful when he relied on pure source and infinite energy. These androids do not have infinite power and must rely on absorbing. Gas should at the very least be around cell second form or perfect cell lv. It’s like saying gast would be weaker than kami piccolo at this point of the year when Gast received a major head start of already being android 16 lv at the fusion during namek arc. Makes no sense for his power to be lesser than it was years ago.
To be completely fair, these are entirely new androids not old models, thus they don't have to work on the logic of the previous models just because. Anything is possible with these two, they could be really really strong absorption models, they could be some sort of new dual type hybrid androids, they could even casually be cell level for all we know, so far there's nothing that really solidly dictates who or what they scale to. Though, I will sort of agree in the sense that a weaker Vegeta was able to handle getting absorbed much better than what's portrayed here with Gast, but again, we don't really know all the info about these guys yet, or if Gast is just sandbagging to get info or something.

That's it, Namekseijin Densetsu is finished!
Started in 2014 and finished initially in 2016, concluding part 2 of the story, I decided to resume this story years later to conclude Piccolo's story.
Having made the manga 321Y in the meantime, I decided to make this third part a sequel, both to Namekseijin Densetsu, but also to 321Y by involving Tambo, a character that I really like.
I hope you enjoyed reading this story, even if I am far from having a high level of drawing. I put all my heart into this story.
With these last pages, we arrive very far in the future of Dragon Ball. About 600 years separate us from the end of Dragon Ball, I wanted to show with this ending that even if the danger is always present (whether it's Bracaa or something else), Piccolo will always make sure to be able to defend the planet Namek, from his hands or from those of his successors.
After 561 pages, this fan-manga is coming to an end and I'm quite happy to have been able to share it with you.
Early 2025 will see the beginning of my new fan-manga. I hope you'll like it!
Thank you all for taking the time to read my pages and talk about it with me here or elsewhere, thank you to Salagir for allowing me to share it on the DBM website.
See you soon for new adventures, long live Dragon Ball!

I assume either time will end up changing Bracca or some other big bad makes him realize he likes being a good guy, this decision is pretty jarring now but Piccolo Jr was seen as just as evil as Bracca at the time he blew up the tournament, I grew up watching Dragonball but had Z & GT airing alongside it + it never got as far as Demon King Piccolo I don't think, so I can only imagine I would have felt the same way about Piccolo Jr as I do Bracca had I watched the events first hand prior to seeing him in Z.

That's a pretty cool addition, it was kinda like whiplash seeing krillin go from "f- the Saiyan's, all Saiyans are EVIL!" to Tenshinhan attributing their strength to being "good guys".
I think the result of this is kinda interesting, the Gods going even as far back as Kami were very hands off in the development of life on their Universe, to the point where their very existence is meer myth & gossip, it's been a while since I properly read Dragonball but I even recall Kami saying something like he does this so that the Mortals have faith in themselves & that Shenron only exists to bring hope to them & exists to this day solely because guys like Goku exist, this being the culmination of that idea being that the Mortals (though, some are/were technically Gods but ignore that ;P) don't need the Gods (Kaio) anymore & are now sure of themselves is pretty cool.

So did XXI like find Janemba in his universe and then put him in his pocket or something if the kid's there? Otherwise he'd have to have gotten him from the Universe 0 afterlife, which may or may not exist since there's no life in Universe 0 & the characters seemingly dont remember death here.

The mafuuba was specifically not used as the author said its too weak to work anymore, so sealing him into the sun or just the katchin box should work the same. so its liek the idea or principle of sealing methods are excluded, just the ability of the sealing technique is why it wasn't tried.
So I would use the katchin box in a HTC or any other pocket dimension where he can't be easily retrieved.

Why do DB fans insist on codifying power levels so strictly? It's not meant to make sense, Toriyama admitted it was just a plot device (and a very good one at that imo).
I wouldn't quite say "power levels" themselves were not ment to make sense, I'd even argue quite the opposite in fact. As much as I hate using the word "objective", power levels as a concept were introduced into the story to field an objective measurement of strength, person with powerlevel of A is slower/weaker/less durable than person with powerlevel of B because person B's pl is > person A's, this is consistent in the original run of Dragonball. The heroes however are able to take advantage of their ki control as a tactic to fool or manipulate the antagonist, hell, this very tactic gets used against them in the android saga.
Powerscaling in general is important to the narrative at hand as it creates a sense of consistency to solving a problem the heroes are facing, people as strong as 4 year old Gohan should not be able to do anything to people stronger than adult Gohan at his absolute strongest and then some, however, powerscaling in Dragonball can also be dumb on occasion I will admit, in a perfect world Future-Trunks would die instantly to a Goku stronger than Buu-Saga Vegetto, a Goku half the age he was in his debut should not be able to contest with people Dabura couldn't defeat even with an SSJ3 multiplier, and 16 year old Gohan shouldn't be weaker than he was when he was 11, but we don't live in a perfect world I guess. Things like Freeza becoming stronger than Vegetto can become tolerable with the right amount of "he trained for this long" & "he has this much hidden potential". 1 Odpowiedzi

I mean, Grandpa Gohan, in Dragon Ball, was old when he died, and he showed up as old when he was fighting kid Goku during that whole arc with Baba. Maybe your "spirit body" shows you as old as you were when you die? Goku can probably be as strong as he was in his prime, since he's a spirit or whatever, but he just looks as old as he was whenever he died.
Goku's ”spirit body" is actually just his regular mortal body he used on earth but with a halo.
When Goku died the first time, his body disappeared to the shock of Bulma & the rest, he would otherwise just be a puff of smoke, in the Manga continuity that is, so if he died of old age that's what he'd look like forever.

I actually think in a somewhat twist of expectations, XXI will win the entire tournament, and then some multiversal hyjinx ensues, it could be why gohan breaks one of the dragon balls in one of bardock's vision. It's also inline with how goku basically loses all the tournaments he's ever been in except like one including self-disqualifications.

Already this comic is bogged down by inconsistencies and plot holes. The explanation for Cell's death makes no sense since canon Cell has survived his upper body getting blown up and his own self destruction. Really feels like the reader is just expected to turn their brain off here which doesn't bode well for the future of this story.

tbh, when this was announced on the news section & i saw raditz flying with uub to what was assumingly a rush attack on broly, i knew to turn my brain off & just enjoy the ride for what it is: broly blowing stuff up/jerking himself off to the blood of goku & friends as his lube for tens of pages. if this is taken too seriously it'll only make ppl more upset as time goes on, i personally do it with gt & super and it had at least some cool moments out of it, freeza even became cool again after RoF.
i do still like to speculate "what if" tho for fun, and think some things could've been altered, but it's all in vain regardless, broly kills everyone, the end. im personally just wondering how he ends up as an ice cube, maybe we'll get an answer here.
regarding cell, im just going to soft-headcannon that broly squeezed so hard & legendary that his core was destroyed in his head, and that cell at this point cant consciously move his core around his body, he just did it on accident the one time vs goku & became aware of it vs gohan.

Now if we go off the whole "Super Saiyan 3 is 5000x base" idea, and then go off the idea that Base Vegito was somewhere around Ultimate Gohan tier in base upon being born, and that the Ultimate "form" is superior to Super Saiyan 3 which would place that multiplier at at least at 5000x for both the fusion AND the ultimate state itself.
Ultimate Kakaditz should've been at least 25,000,000 times stronger than base Kakarot.
And U13 Vegeta was actually competing with that. Damaging him and clashing with him.
that 25 million is being extremely generous too, i assume it was factored using raditz's 5k powerlevel displayed on page 1713 , if you factor in his current canon powerlevel, which on page 414 was stated to be "way better" than freeza's elites & ginyu's squad, extremely lowballing & ignoring raditz gaining anything from the mystic powerup (for the sake of concrete numbers), the potara multiplication would be at bare minimum 120 000 (ginyu's power level), combine that with kakaditz's potential (he should arguably have at least ssj3's potential since kakaditz is part kakarot who is goku, so at least 5000 * at least 120 000), present DBM kakaditz would actually be 600 000 000 times stronger than base kakarot, this is again ignoring raditz's potential being factored in, which is arguably at least ssj2 lvl but could be argued for more or less either way.
vegeta fought, blitz, tanked, & gut punched a being more or less 600 million times stronger than base kakarot in old kai's headcanon, & gast boxed that same ghost vegeta irl (he even thought he killed his remains on page 1325 ). I love that you could either scale gast from ssj1 namek saga goku + magic buffs to way beyond buu saga ssj3 & either works, you could even say he doesn't take fights seriously since he doesn't vs king piccolo on page 953 .

theoretically, as long as broly doesnt destroy cell's core, cell can just keep coming back with zenkai (he's one of the only ones that still can get them in DBM canon iirc), if the rate of zenkai boost is greater than broly's passive power increase, cell could eventually defeat him & save the universe.
unrelated, but another way to maybe stop broly is to charge a spirit bomb for an entire year then throw it at him in hell, maybe even charge it with dead people energy, none of these would ever happen since we basically already know how this story ends, but its fun to think about. 1 Odpowiedzi

Honestly, Old Kai's power up really should have made Radditz, logically, at LEAST as strong as SS3 Vegeta. Really think about it. All those possible transformations plus any latent Hidden Potential. That's squeezing the best out of Super Saiyan 1, 2, 3, AND Oozaru. Unless Radditz is somehow genetically incapable of Super Saiyan forms at all and only had Ozaru, I don't see how Vegeta could have been a problem at all. Hell, with Oozaru(which for some reason is a 2x boost in DBM canon, not 10x), Raditz was damaging Super Saiyan Bardock and keeping pace with him for a little bit which is a STUPENDOUS performance against a massively superior form. The same Super Saiyan Bardock who, need I remind you, went toe to toe with King Kold who was stated to be Android tier, possibly even Android 16 tier before using his 100% form.
This isn't just some weakling. Sure, he still lost and was overwhelmed ultimately, but give Raditz some credit. Throw on the Super Saiyan transformations and any latent potential(even if it's something like a 100% increase of his base form) and he should be minimum a REALLY strong SS2 at his max, if not a decent SS3.
The power scaling on this really threw me for a loop and I hope this cool as fuck moment isn't undercut by him being shockingly weak or getting absolutely annihilated. It'd make scaling feel a lot more nonsensical and feel untrustworthy going forward. I dunno. This art is just really fucking sick and I love this pose. I don't want a cheap "gag" where they get destroyed.

tbh, this bothers me as well, i can ignore it, but it does bother me a bit. saiyan training, while impressive, alone doesn't typically yield the best results, vegeta in base was at most cui level before he met goku & gang, goku himself was like 1/3 of raditz before he showed up, yet both of them were able to go beyond their limits & achieve much, much greater heights. in saiyan culture, they just go off of who has the bigger initial number & ignore potential, or would work harder & not smarter. a great example would be how goku used his body vs how ginyu used it, ginyu was unable to get anywhere close to goku's full potential at that point despite literally being goku due to how they view power & how they train themselves. going off of that, i cant really see why raditz's full potential wouldn't be at least around ssj3 tier, unless, like you mentioned, raditz just genetically cant go super ever, which would just make him really, really weak in this current situation thinking about it now, like sub ssj2 unless you wanked his base potential to be that strong without being capable of transformations, which would ironically make him super cracked & make raditz a monster if he could have transformed.
(also, if you wanted to be a nerd about it, despite what salagir said about oozaru, they canonically output energy beams ten times stronger in that form on page 1179 making it valid DBM canon and the 2x boost a DBM retcon, again, only if you wanted to be a turbo nerd about it ;) )

@About whether this is a vision or not.
There are arguments for and against. I'll try to list them with counter-arguments. Lemme know if I forgot anything.
It's a vision
— Argument 1: Kakarotto and Vegeta were shown during IKL's rampage so the special couldn't have happened before that.
— -Counter-argument: Maybe Salagir messed up the timeline. There is a precedent for that.
— --Counter-counter-argument: I don't think he did. The only mistake regarding the timeline is when Raditz was shown alive on page 1514 (just before Raichi's rampage) when actually he was killed by Piccolo Daimao way before that. The reason this happened is because on the script it just said "have Vegeta with a bunch of Saiyans" and BK-81 decided to include Raditz, not knowing he was supposed to by dead by then. So I wouldn't really say it was Salagir who messed up, rather it was a lack of communication between artists.
— Argument 2: The blurry panel on page 2359.
— -Counter-argument: It could simply be a time skip, and not a vision starting.
So I guess it could be either since there's no precedent for this type of panel.
— Argument 3: It's a flashback chapter. If all this really happened, why make it a flashback chapter? Only the first 4 pages are a flashback, the other 20 pages literally happen AFTER the main story? Seems weird.
Not a vision
— Argument 1: It could be happening after IKL's rampage
— -Counter-argument 1: That would be a weird decision to show a chapter ahead of time.
— -Counter-argument 2: Ok, but why is Vegetto in a good mood after what happened to him?
— --Counter-counter-argument 1: Bad writing. But this argument can literally be used any time for any situation. If it can't be substantiated nor debunked with objective elements, I don't think it has any meaning.
— --Counter-counter-argument 2: Maybe some things have happened between IKL'S and Kakaditz's rampages and it will all be explained and it will make sense? Like, maybe Uub is coming back too and the way all these stories entangle together, maybe it made more sense to show this chapter before? I don't know.
— Argument 2: There is supposedly one page left in this chapter.
This means either:
1. The rest of the fight is shown in a different chapter, which means it's probably not a vision, as their story continues on.
2. The long and tenuous story of the evil Saiyans of Universe 13, who defeated plenty of enemies and finally learned stuff from their good counterparts really ends on the next page? That would suck ass, seriously. Their story is far from over.
3. Zen Buu is simply lying about the one page left.
Personally I've been thinking for the most part that it is a vision. But I'm not so sure anymore. My money is still on it though.

i maintain that this should just be called a "sidestory" rather than a "flashback" if this is real, unless flashback just means something different entirely in french or something. im team "this is real & old kai's wibbly wobbly transition was just a wibbly wobbly transition & nothing more", but can see why & how others would think differently, im confident in my stance but so are many others in theirs so we'll just have to wait & see.

i wondered that too but then thought back, in page 320 it basically states that the more stronger you are the less ssj3 holds up, hyper vegeta's initial transformation was also so short only because he was severely wounded, going off of that, we can assume vegeta's a really weak ssj3 or only like 3 seconds passed or something, why the fusion didn't kill vegeta? s̶c̶a̶l̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶i̶s̶s̶u̶e̶s̶ he was another goofy fusion.
scaling aside, i kinda like this scenario, 2 lower class brothers fighting vegeta, kinda wish it was just that, maybe have vegeta & raditz duking it out & have kakarotto join in later, making a mess of things, getting them kicked out, basically what we have now just without potaras, it wraps back around nicely to their first mission together, kakarotto even giving raditz confidence both times.
Vegeta in DBM canonically loves unicorns confirmed, to the point where he'd allow atleast one on his planet.

Rip my kai headcanon, it was short-lived~
personally, i feel this "flashback" was kinda fun, kakaditz himself as a concept felt kinda pointless though, the feeling kinda reminds me of vegetto's reappearance in dbs, it was cool at first but felt kinda empty at the end, he honestly ultimately just felt like kakarotto in a raditz suit (who also likes tea) rather than his own person. at the same time, this is sorta a special in all but name, so i guess i cant really expect any ground breaking changes, as its not the main plot (not all "flashbacks" can be uub tier i guess).
im going to headcanon that since potara's are made for kai's, that they cant do anything about kai fusion, why old kai didn't do anything about vegetto tho... i guess he just likes making bad decisions.

CyberSaturn was saying: i cant take scaling in this series seriously anymore, how is bra able to fight 2 ultimate gohans + a hyper perfect cell, zen buu able to solo most of the multiverse, but a potara fusion is having trouble with vegeta, was raditz just that weak? this has to be some kind of a fever dream otherwise.
Well Bra in SSJ2 and being the daughter of Vegetto and knowing how half-saiyan potential works, it's no surprise that Bra would clobber 2 Gohans and a Cell that's pretty comparable in power to one of the two Gohans. That said, if Bra didn't have Senzus then who knows how that fight would have turned out. Either Bra wins with a missing arm or she gets defeated.
Zen Buu being able to solo most of DBM is a byproduct of him absorbing magicians, scientists, etc. Not just powerful and skilled fighters (though he also has that). So as much as Buu is "too OPed", it's not unreasonable that Buu could in theory reach that level in all areas and become godlike.
This one definitely seems more absurd. And though I would entertain the idea of Kakaditz toying with Vegeta before, this page looks like Kakaditz actually can get hurt by Vegeta's attacks so idk. But who knows, I think it might be a bit early still to judge. The worst thing is I can't figure out what time period this fight takes place. The most likely theory is after I'K'L but we skipped quite a bit. Which leaves me to think that this fight is a vision.

that makes sense, i only really bring it up because of the way the series portrays ppl relative to ultimate gohan, like, if this were u18 ssj3 vegeta & u16 vegetto, going off of how u18 developed an entierly new form to try & catch up to gohan, that fight would probably go differently, this is all really assuming raditz is at minimum ssj2 lvl & at most ssj3, that's what i assumed at least (for all we know, ultimate raditz could be recoome lvl in this, i'd have a problem with that but it would make things make sense i guess).
this also assumes that kakaditz might actually lose, which is a bit early to truly tell, but looks like it could actually happen, i really hope he doesn't lose, i could let this slide if he doesn't (i actually didnt have a problem with vegeta not getting oneshotted or the final flash thing, actually, id rather the final flash be what shook kakaditz up). all in all, kakaditz is either just really playing around or just way weaker than i thought i guess.
regarding the timeline thing, personally, i believe this is real & that this portion is after i'k'l, but that's just me.

In one of the pages, old kai's panel goes wobbly, it's unclear whether it indicates time passing, imagination, or some sort of mood setting. Due to inconsistencies with the current ikl situation (like kakarotto & vegetto's situation) & it literally being called a flashback, some are absolutely dead set on it being the obvious & only outcome (even tho it was once obvious kakarotto wasn't immortal either ;P).
I'm of the mind that it's only partially a flashback & jumped forward in time, potentially omitting details to the artist like vegetto getting split like gay sex, similar to how raditz's u3 death was omitted in another special relating to that universe for that artist. This could of course be wrong, but if it isn't, perhaps calling it a "side-story" instead of "flashback" would help communicate things better.

I do think effort is put into those series, but I also think those series and basically all series hosted here primarily come from a place of "I'm passionate for this thing, here are my ideas for this or that situation because i like it", and I feel that aspect of intent is either ignored or unintentionally masked in the discourse over this series depending on the person & where their head-space is at currently, it's hard to tell where someone is coming from at times. I agree that the best case for Broly War overall is to grow from the experience with some of the best feedback in mind, I also have some select critiques I've been saving for when this ends, but I also feel that this series is being taken way more seriously than it ever was intended to be, which in a roundabout way is a complement I guess, it's hard to put into words, this series to me is like my impression of the Dragonball heroes series, a bunch of fight fan-service with little to no story in mind.
Overall, I feel it's going for a different vibe adjacent from everything else here, but people expect more than what it seeks to be, not that it's completely flawless in what it's trying to shoot for, even in that regard it's not perfect the same way none of the other series are (except Chibi Son-Bra). 1 Odpowiedzi
