この話は18番目の宇宙（DBZ）で暗黒星（ヤコンの故郷）に行った時の、数日前に起こった出来事です。
今回、メルキトと遭遇していますが、数日後の18番目の宇宙では、メルキトはこの時外出していたため、悟空たちと遭遇することはありませんでした。
(その時メルキトは友達とカラオケに行ってたとかいないとか...)
