Am I the only one who feels that in the entirety of DBM, Vegeto is the most boring, unlikable character? He has the most boring/dislikable actions & reactions, his approaches to everything is just "hurr durr bigger numbers", etcetera. 2 תגובה/תגובות

A few things I would like to bring up:


1) The first one regards the "oh wow, how hasn't Buu come up with a countermeasure to the spell he knows of that can seal him" comments. If you approach it from an engineering or programming perspective, this makes entire sense. Remember, Buu is a synthetic, created entity - more or less from scratch. It could very well be that the 'spell' to lock him down isn't an actual spell, but instead a verbal, vocal password to initiate his self-containment function. In hindsight, you would have to be utterly crazy to make a virtually immortal, shape shifting bioweapon and not have some back up solutions if things go wrong.

2) I actually think we shouldn't overthink the whole philosophy for a few reasons. One being that, odds are, GSK is completely and utterly mind controlled / manipulated to a point it is not even funny. And honestly, the whole statement that Buu is basically god only serves to reinforce this idea. In Dragon Ball, we've only ever seen people in mind control being used for violence. But in this case, maybe the mind control simply makes use of what GSK is good at - namely charisma, manipulation and tricks? I mean, in DBZ canon, GSK's approach to the Buu issue wasn't "screaming very loud and punching very hard" but a calculated attempt at neutralizing the threat using trickery.

3) I kinda wish there had been more shots of the BuuSphere(tm)'s 'clock' in the last few pages. Only a few people noticed that, hey, the clock might be going up. Now it's certified but still.

4) Not going to lie, I sincerely and seriously hope Buu doesn't go one dimensional evil jerk. Too many of those in DragonBall already. This iteration of Buu was shown to have depth, to have pizzaz - I hope they're not gonna ruin it with "oh teh noes i wez teh big bad all aloooooong"

5) I actually find the female Kai's behavior in this a bit weird. More on the petty/sarcastic side rather than the other bigger Kai's completely warranted, angered and worried behavior. Some implications could be drawn out there, but I'm prolly overthinking it. 1 תגובה/תגובות

Well, just oof. That panel outlines literally everything that's wrong with Dragonball as a medium.
"Whether it's magic, technology, or anything else... Pure power can defeat anything... You just need to be a thousand times stronger."

I get I'm in the wrong media for this kind of thing, but I've always felt this held DragonBall back massively from a writing perspective. Watching somebody win through strategy, thinking, skill, planning is always more interesting.

Cool panel and all. And this is totally an understandable thing that Vegeto would say. It makes sense for them. Everything about this makes sense.

From a narrative standpoint, we even know that Vegeto is going to win and punch through everything. Same for Bra. The only repercussions and issues we'll realistically run into is something that ends up with Bra being threatened for doing something bad.

Oh, fuck ooofff. This seems insanely, incredibly forced. This seems more like a "Oh no, I need my garbage OC to be liked! Quick, get pitty going!"

I mean, really. There is so much in this panel that just comes off in so many ways. This is just so god damn contrived.

Food for thought: Neither Bras wear bras. One wears a tanktop while the other clearly wear some sort of "braced shirt". My point isn't they're going commando or anything. My point is about bra-ception.
