Quick question. If the Kaios can do this, can the Kaioshins do the same too? I suppose not, otherwise the U1 Kaioshins would have just sealed U1 Broly instead of fighting him in a hard battle. But why can't they do it if they're above the Kaios?
Well, Kaioshins don't have every ability Kais do. When Goku had to form a spirit bomb against Kid Buu, Shin couldn't get him in contact with everyone on Earth, but King Kai was able to
Come to think of it, Snower said the Frost Demons only destroyed one or two planets in the last 300 years. Was that the planet of the Jaykals?

I could see the wish at the end of tournament to remove the Carbonite from all universe.
That sounds like way too much for a single dragon, especially if there are infinite universes. Even "all 20 universes participating in this tournament" is already a stretch imo
They should have just made a deal with Buu to fix all those problems in exchange for running some really cool super-tournament. Win win win for everybody (except that they'd be letting Buu subtly infect every universe but surely he won't misuse that opportunity, he's trustworthy)

Only U1's dragon can affect other universes. Buu's magic can't, otherwise he would've been able to still interfere after getting sent back to U4

All I am saying is that it is such a nice drawing style, but it could be godlike if characters actually had different characteristics from each other.
I don't personally have any trouble telling them apart (the faces are similar but the other aspects of their design clearly differ). But more variety on facial designs would be a genuine improvement for the already amazing art

Notice how Zangya simply tells Bojack not to use any energy attacks, as if it were obvious to everyone else that they should keep a low profile so that Snower’s spies can’t track their energy signatures.
Ain't everyone in the DB universe (but androids) boosting their power through energy signatures anyway? I guess a Final Flash crossing the planet and beyond would be more flamboyant in many ways, but would "can't track" be accurate if they fight at all?
Depending on how canon DBS Broly is to DBM, we know the scouters and scanners werent implemented until Cold was stepping down to let Freeza rule. Disregarding that one, and assuming scouters have been used since Frost, we know Scouters and planetary long-range scanners can still scan people's powers in general.
The only 3 reasons I can think of for the "no energy attacks" would be
1) they're on a planet that still has agents everywhere, and large explosions might give away the hideout location
2) the experiment that gave them their powers may have an effect on energy attacks for some reason
3) Collateral damage.

My guess is the dark senzu is a fragment of XXI. Possibly to exacerbate Vegito's hunger. We've already been given the foreshadowing and a clear link between the two.
It likely will also make Vegito immune/resistant to Ghast's disable power, as we need the Gogeta v Vegito fight that was teased since the beginning.

I forget, does DBM keep with the speech bubble pattern of Toriyama's manga? Because if so, the fact that the speech bubble here is angular implies that the character speaking is either evil/sinister, an artificial human, or of some demonic background. Lucas was saying: But Vegeta wasn't weaker than Cell. His SSJ3 form and lower definitely were weaker, yes. But his NSSJ wasn't. He just didn't want to waste the transformation on Cell, because he was saving it for Goku. If Cell used his full power, he would've needed NSSJ to win. So he baited Cell to stay at SSJ2 level to enjoy an even match, then quickly surprised him with SSJ3 which he had never shown before. All to avoid using NSSJ before his fight with Goku.
You have nothing to base that on, in fact everything we do know points to the opposite. Cell is stronger than even Gohan, and we know Gohan has more potential than Goku and Vegeta, which means they will never surpass Gohan now that his potential (and beyond) has been unlocked by the ritual. So even if Goku and Vegeta got the mystic ritual themselves (which is in every way superior thing to nssj), they would still be weaker than Gohan.
So yes, Cell is stronger than Goku and Vegeta, even if they were to use nssj

I always felt like Gohan showed his potential more quickly, but I'm skeptical on his limits necessarily being higher than Goku or Vegeta. Plus, there's more to fighting than just ki output alone. A Goku and Vegeta who've been training for decades after the Buu arc are probably more skilled and have more techniques than a Gohan who hasn't.
I also don't think it was indicated NSSJ is weaker than the mystic ritual, just that it requires preparation at Goku and Vegeta's current level.

— Can use his universe's dragon balls any time he wants.
Also I like that they kept U13 Vegeta's reddish tint in his hair, suits him.
I agree with the first and the last point. But U13 Vegeta fulfilled his destiny and become the first SSJ, killed Freeza & took his empire & now he's the emperor of his whole universe. So, there's no insecurities.
And why on the blue hell will U13 Vegeta give a fuck about "love" & "Family warmth"? He will scoff at mere idea and will laugh at U18 Vegeta's face for reducing himself to be with a "worthless woman" like Bulma. Also, again, he's the Emperor of his whole universe! The only thing he's missing is immortality & the fact that he's weaker than U18 Vegeta. That's the only two things U13 Vegeta cares about. Which is why he's working with XXI.

I mean, let's be honest, U18 Vegeta is likely living the more fulfilling life. A big part of Saiyan DNA is a desire to fight, so it gets boring once you reach the top (as we see with Vegito). U18 Vegeta's probably much happier having a rivalry.

I hope everyone enjoyed this story as much as we did creating it.
It was a very enriching experience being part of something so big, and speaking for myself since I was out of my confort zone doing this type of drawing (manga).
I wanna publicly thank Salagir for all the patience he had, the opportunity he gave me and to always taking in consideration my suggestions regarding the story!
I also want to thank each and everyone of you readers, your praises and especially your overall feedback made me feel accomplished with this project!

Excellent work on this special. Hope to see more from you in the future
For a second there I thought I saw mother brain.
Anyway this is a neat follow up. Looking forward to the continuation

I mean, I don't think people are going to see them any better even if they're turned back into humans

I'm guessing Gast developed this technique when he faced Buu in his own universe

Assuming we're near the end, I quite liked this special on the whole. Hope we see more of Bunga in the future

Yeah I don't think Cell is dead, Gast has yet to learn about his "nucleus".
Well, I figure Gast probably knows how Namekian regeneration works 2 Replie(s)
MUI was saying:
In DBZ manga Cell survived his self destruction not because of his nucleas surviving the blast, but because one single cell survived and that was enough to revive himself.
No, the "single cell" thing was in the anime's English dub.

I do hope we see how/why Gast can actually do this. Feels a bit like a win button against most foes otherwise.
It's implied it has something to do with Cell's Namekian cells here 1 Replie(s)

Your nickel was saying: All things considered, I enjoyed this a lot more than the comic version. I still would've liked to see a no-bars fight between SSJ3 Vegeta and Cell (like Goku got against Uub), but the characterization in the novel gave this fight a lot more context. It didn't feel like Vegeta wasn't taking the fight seriously here; on the contrary, he had to get closure for his history with Cell.
Cell would have won that for sure. Vegeta would need his Max powerup to have an even fight with Cell I believe.

Well, that's a different thing I'm not really fond of. Goku and Vegeta's power was kind of nebulous for most of DBM, but around here is when it started becoming clear their level hasn't changed much since the Buu saga.
Tbh even if their base power has remained static for 20 years (which feels weird to me), I feel like they should have at least developed some impressive new techniques that might catch Cell off guard. 3 Replie(s)

Super Gojita 3 was saying: Teleported_Bread was saying: iron leaf was saying: I don't want to coerce the discussion to stop. However, I should mention that there is no in-universe reason why Son Bra has a inconsistent appearance in the original vision on page 732. There is no twist. It is quite frankly just a mistake on the part of the creators.
That's fine, I just like to use my head a little. It's fun to think of these sorts of things. And I know you're not discouraging it, either. Just trying to prevent confusion, right?
I could easily see the staff retconning it into "aha! bardock changed the future slightly. so slight variations happen"
a happy little accident as they say
No, it's exactly like iron leaf said. It's an artistic error. There is no more deeper meaning, Bardock didn't change anything. Look at the latest DBM colors page, we fixed Bra's hair.

That part's clear, it's just that this gives Salagir a reasonable out if he doesn't want to be bound by the visions
A couple of folks mentioned the ponytail could technically be consistent to keep, since in the original future, Gohan would've killed Babidi before Majin Bra showed up (page 1452). In other words, Bardock altered the future.
But this could also work just as well, and in general I'm on board with making corrections in hindsight.
EDIT: Actually come to think of it, the hair tie broke even earlier in the Cold fight, so maybe the ponytail wouldn't have worked

So the vision changed slightly because Bardock altered the future
How did Bardock alter the future, specifically?
The only thing I suspect is telling "Cold" he foresaw his defeat.
*Theory:*
Maybe in Bardock's vision, "Cold" (who isn't warned of his defeat) doesn't make the switch after losing?
As a result, Bra doesn't need to recover/take a nap after getting beat up by Vegito.
However, Bra is still possessed by Babidi, but now she's in public view.
If Majin Bra is present at the beginning of the majin fight, Babidi might be more vulnerable to Gohan's (or Cell's) sneak attack in the free for all.

But they are not actually the U3 saiyans, but just raichi's ghosts... He is making them act like that... right? I mean do even raichi's ghost have any form of free will, or are they purely an extension of him? I would say that they are separate beings from the people that actually died, since the souls move to the other world, and not get trapped by raichi's machine...
We have Pan as example that died and was also a raichi ghost, she would have mentioned something but only said that the other world was "empty" or something, but that is because of the universe that the tournament is taking place at, not because she became a raichi ghost.
Well, they do seem to have their own personalities (e.g. Raditz on page 669 of the original comic, and Vegeta suggesting Raichi call back Broly). But I agree they're separate entities from the original people (e.g. Ghost Emperor Vegeta existed at the same time as the real one) and they're likely just going through with this because Raichi wants them to. I just find the shock on their faces pretty ironic 1 Replie(s)
