I've noticed for a long time how DBM almost always portrays (Post-EoZ) Vegeta in the best possible light. As if he were perfect. As if there was a Vegeta-fanboy behind Salagir, threatening him with a gun if Vegeta isn't portrayed as perfectly as possible. People argue that the author bend over to make Son Bra look better, but no one talks about how the same author does exactly the same thing to Vegeta (in 95% of his scenes).

I completely disagree. There is nothing in DBM that portrays Vegeta unfairly "better" than others.

Vegeta only seems "perfect" because the story is benefiting from him already completing his story arc from the original Manga, where he let's go of his own pride to truly be an earthling. Outside of his fights, he actually doesn't do really anything so grand of note at all, aside of small character moments, and assisting everyone else with fighting off Super Buu both times.

In his fights, he confronted his own past and recognized that without everyone else he would've turned out worse off. If it weren't for Frieza, he would've stayed a pathetic and arrogant weakling playing at being a king, and if it weren't for Goku & co., he would've been a tyrannical genocider terrorizing the universe. Page 89

He shows pride in his son from universe 12 for finding a way to utilize both Super Saiyan and Grade 2 in order to keep up with him briefly.

He originally asked Pan to forfeit her match just so he could fight Kakarot himself, only to immediately change his mind in order to push her to break her limits. page 579

When he fought Cell, who was stronger than him, he had use actual tactics to come out on top. He took advantage of Cell's own arrogance fighting at his level to kill him swiftly(For his daughter btw).

When he fought Goku, it was their ultimate culmination of growth in their neverending quest to be stronger than they were yesterday. And he ended up losing that fight anyway, even after getting a second wind. And what did he do after? Praised Goku's performance in their battle.

If anything, Vegeta has been portrayed as giving everyone else reverance, which is quite consistent to his change, and how how he really should be which I have to give the writers props for keeping so consistent.

Now Bra, is literally written to be special by the fact she is the daughter of Vegito. She can basically do everything Vegito can except level 3, use Supreme kai IT, take on 3 mystic Gohan tiers, plus more at the same time, wins her handicap against Ginyu Cold, not by her own skill, but by senzu cop out(and in the majin rebellion too). She doesn't even lose in the tournament. She gives up, and says she did it for nothing later.

She has also been excused multiple times for her own mistakes time and time again from other characters, some of which she killed, instead of her truly being held accountable, just because she was "under control",and then they blamed Vegito instead.

Heck, go read Ashanark's comments from the after the Majin rebellion if you want my feelings on it, because I truly believe he sums it up perfectly. You will have to scroll through comments on the actual pages since his actual profile says he's been banned. In comparison, after every feat Vegeta(and Goku for that matter) pull off, there is usually a line or two right after talking about how they still aren't as good as Bra or Vegito to prop them up even more.

To summarize: No, Vegeta and Son Bra are not being treated the exact same, not even 5% of the time imho.

Gohan has always had higher potential than both Goku and Vegeta and he had that unlocked so unless Salagir changed his mind, I doubt this will change.

I believe it's implied when Gohan says he is as strong or maybe even stronger than he is, since if that's the case SS2 probably wouldn't be close to him at full power. The novel further says Gohan straight up couldn't take him down in their fight, and not just because of the majin boost. Also the mods have a habit of not leaving anything up to speculation so it's safe to say that it's true.

Bra has no idea who she's messing with. You can see it on Goku's face. He's clearly not worried for Vegeta in the slightest. Can't wait to see Bra be forced to watch our Goku and Vegeta take down Vegito and put her in her place.

It would be both the funniest and most infuriating thing in the world if South Kai STILL didn't think XXI was evil. "He was still following the rules, unlike those dasterdly monsters from Universe 9"

I absolutely LOVE Vegeta's attitude here. I'm sure he saw the fight with Gast. Taking on XII would be a tall order for him (he often prefers to fight alone). But he is surrounded by many capable allies here. I can't wait for that showdown.

Also I sense a growing frustration with XII's group towards him. However, they would do well to keep in line since they are at his mercy. Looks like Vegetto really screwed things up for XII.

Generally speaking, inter-universal travel can be a double edged sword. On the one hand there is the possibility conquest. But there is also the chance of encountering individuals that are far more powerful or capable. Imagine another version of XXI with a more powerful dragon! I wonder if he got his wish, if he would go to U4? My bet is that he would leave Zen Buu alone.

Looking at this page, I'm trying to piece together the sequence of events. Maybe you guys can help me. I'm guessing this all happened in a split second.

1. XXI makes his wish from U1 Porunga
2. Vegetto/Gast attack him
3. XXI's stomach explodes. Cue spikes.
4. Life Freeze applied

So my questions are:

Who applied the Life Freeze, XXI or South Kai? Because XXI seemed to be caught off guard when he was attacked. It seems like the Spikes came flying out just as the Life Freeze happened.

Didn't the wish happen instantly? Or does Porunga have to be given the time to respond "This wish is granted" (or similar) for it to happen? He clearly made his wish. Others heard it. And so far it appears that it has not been granted, so will he have to use a 2nd one to make it happen again?

Interesting... I wonder if they find one of XXI's dragon balls and believe it is the one from U1 when it isn't.

Nice! So Piccolo actually heard what XXI asked Porunga too. I thought he didn't hear it because he didn't say anything until now.

And Geetz is right. Beside avenging their dead families, it's pointless to run from XXI. If he somehow manages to take control of Vargas technology (everything is destroyed, but he can use that evil Varga subordinate to infiltrate U1), then he can travel the multiverse without the need for dragon balls. So it's best to go to war with him now in this universe, instead of going home and waiting for him to bring the war to your home universe.

It sure is a sign of masterful storytelling when you need to have a character say out loud that they're explaining the story for the readers.

Also, "He hit me so hard my stomach exploded" is a not so great bit a dialogue. How about, "He blew me to pieces." instead? That'd sound a little more natural.

Y'know what? I don't see Vegito there. I wonder if the one we saw in Bardock's vision was a fusion of the Universe 13 Vegeta and Kakarot. That would be a serious threat.

Just like many other people here I like the idea of XXI honoring the deal with his allies.

The most villains in dragonball disrespected their own people or even went against their backs. General Blue was the best soldier of the red ribbon army and got executed, Spopovich proved himself useful and was blown up, Vegeta has been trashed despite being competent... It feels like Toryama wanted to tell us that you would get trashed eventually if you side with the bad guys, no matter how useful you are.

Demon King Piccolo was the only villain who actually cared for his minions and that made him one of the best in my humble opinion. I've always wished for villains in dragonball who would acknowledge his minions and act loyal to them and XXI seems to do just that.

Also, just like demon King Piccolo, he actually got his wish with the dragonballs. It seems like dbm had a really good plan with XXI all along

She'll definitely be an asset against XXI. I'd gauge her strength at the level of SSJ2 Bra, so she'll be right in the mix.

On another note. Zen Buu is WAY OP. That he is able to create a being like this, fully autonomous even after his departure, is nothing short of extraordinary. Seeing that he figured out how to overcome his sealing spell, they might very well need him to return & aid in the fight.

We all know Goku really just itching for Vegeta become a Super Sayian so he can duke it out at max strength.

Wait...if Uub could have grabbed her at any point, wouldn't it make more sense to have used the transformation technique with his arms/legs like he was trying to do earlier?

I still feel like it's a missed opportunity since that Wario is Nappa his name should have been Wappa.

Credit to Goku for effort, but I have to criticize him on his strategy. The kaioken is just a way more versatile and reliable technique than the genki dama, which needs several episodes to charge. If Tien was fighting alone, at least a high-level kaioken + kikoho might be able to win at the cost of his own life, but a genki dama is impossible to charge successfully in a 1 vs 1.
