He started to using blade beam... heavy armor + jet pack + cluster rockets with chemicals...he may be something like technician, maybe scientist (Tuffle?).
Maybe the match for that guy is not the failure yet. Good thing we got something like that.

Great page!!! It seems that the weapons are pretty strong, Uub said that the missiles could hurt him if they touched him so probably the same for the sword.

Who cares which race the guy is? He is from an unknown race, simply. Leave it at that!
I hope Uub loses this match anyways. I don't like him as a character, he is not anything new basically.

Gohan started his training using a sword as well... and when he was with the Kaioshin, he was training to USE the Z sword, since they didn't know that the old Kaio was sealed inside it... and Trunks of course used his sword... so yes, some saiyans from the series have used swords

not to mention goku and the power pole. oh this guy(tidar) can probably kill ginyu and maybe hurt frieza.

well i guess you are all right however kameha is pretty correct when he says weapons should'nt be used, however he just doesnt illustrated properly. You see every sword used in dbz is no ordinary sword, these swords are usually sacred or whatever thus making them stronger. the power pole would'nt hurt frieza or ginyu lol (krump&dbz4lyfe)
For some reason i'd suspect the creator of this comic has watched various shows such as justice which of course uses various weapons for battle. This show is dragonball z. But kameha was sort of wrong i guess but guns and rockets should'nt be effective against any of the z-fighter. remember gohan and the rockets.

ow and if uub looses i'll still read this however i wont take it seriously anymore. basically it would automatically became less enjoyable and realistic(dbz).

What could have happened in that guys universe! If They are the most powerful warriors in it. Did the Z warriors never come to existence? Earth was destroyed? Did those guys fought off Freeza!! OoO!! many questions. Actually, they have no power without his technology, so, why did the aliens responsible of the tournament choose them? I though they judge power by Ki levels. I guess I was wrong.

@Masenko Seen it the day it was online. It had it's humor but the fight wasn't that serious.

For the people complaining about DBZ characters using swords, like stated Gohan and Trunks used a sword but hell even Janemba used one. Comments like not gonna watch anymore is fine by me...

But when you start threatening about something that was made with effort and for fans to watch free is starting to cross the line especially when threatening with hacking the website.

To DBZ: Gohan and Trunks swords were both ordinary, and as stated by trunks while overpowering king cold with his sword, its the person using it that determines the weapons strength. So yes, if goku used the powerpole, he WOULD hurt frieza.

Missigno - I think they just go to random universes and look for the strongest fightrs there.

Gohan's sword was not normal. His first was from Piccolo, his 2nd was from Supreme Kai.

And Trunk's sword isn't normal either. It was shown in Movie 13 where it sort of explained how he got it. (Although it contradicts the main time-line)

Who cares if the swords were normal or not? Weapons are allowed in the tourney anyway, so I don't see anything wrong with any characters using any weapons. Normal or not, it's still a weapon. I don't know if Pan is participating or not, but if she is and when it is Pan's turn, are you guys gonna diss her for using the powerpole? Come on, grow up, people. People on the Japanese side of the site weren't making much in-depth comments, but at least they weren't making threats or anything ridiculous like that.

Do you people arguing about this realize how boring things would be if everything was straight chi battling? These guys are from an AU, a world where anything is possible- even armor and metals and materials that can fight straigth on with senshi. If they couldn't- why would they ahve been invited? AU is AU. Let it be.

There was a phrase i read which quoted that science without religon would be nothing and religon without science would be blind. I think Salagir's reasoning of why Tildar called his sword 'god's blade' was a well reasoned one. I have to say I was surprised that this fight has carried on over two pages, i honestly thought it would be another two pager. Good job it wasn't.

And finally: Tec and bio should never be understimated, in a technical sense, buu is a biological weapon (though created by magic) and goku 'died' by a virus. And apart from the androids, meta cooler given how quick he adapts and how many there are of him by the big gete star puts him high on the villian list. The attributes of his technology makes him as dangerous as cell or brolly despite not being at their 'power level'

I imagine on the next page Uub may find it better to hit the 'head' next time XD

Just noticed this Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return episode, big surprise, i know goku lately appered briefly in one piece but a TV special of DBZ. Was there a reason why they made another one? It was actually fun to watch and chichi has more role then she did in the buu saga! (fear her pan!) Still it was odd to see a new DBZ feature.

Talking about the special, it would be funny to see Abo and Cado (or their merged form) in universe 8 as one of Freeza's henchman :)

I for one think it’s interesting to see the z fighters fight against a opponent with technology that can go head to head with their abilities. Also I always assumed the main reason they didn't usually use weapons was the trouble of finding a weapon that could handle their level of fighting.

I think that guy means "Failure's blade" instead of "God's blade".

Watching how Uub is kicking his ass with one hand, not even touching him, it is hard to say its "weapon that could handle their level of fighting (power)".

Goten and Trunks weren't really being 'beaten', though. Just a little overwhelmed. Once they could track Avo and Cado again they didn't have any issues.

It was the boys fight, and there was no one there. It was just Hercule and them. The Hotel hadn't actually opened yet.

sam: The special is the best thing Dragonball that's been released in ages. It's pure Dragonball goodness that goes back to the series roots as a light hearted comedy with some good action mixed in. The Special is exactly what Dragonball is at heart and not liking it means you don't understand the series.


Mada: Future Trunks's sword IS NOT Tapion's sword. They are two completely different swords. Future Trunks's sword is just a regular sword. Why would a sword that can slice Hildegarn in half shatter against an Android that's much weaker than Hildegarn? Also, Gohan's first sword that Piccolo gave him was also a normal sword.

dbz: If Goku were to use the Power Pole against Ginyu or Freeza or Cell it'd smack them around just as easily as it smacked around everyone else during the early parts of Dragonball. Melee weapons don't suddenly stop working just because the people using them are strong. They actually work better with stronger people using them.

Also, technology can be used to make weapons able to harm the Z Fighters. Just look at the Androids. They're technological and they don't use Ki either. That energy they throw around is not the same thing the Z Fighters use. It basically amounts to blasters (like what some of Freeza's men used). All kinds of sci-fi weapons can exist that could deal damage to even SSJ4 Gogeta. Just because standardard missles don't work doesn't no missle would.

I just figured that just because Trunks' sword was enchanted against Hildegarns doesn't mean it's anything special against Androids.

Now that's what I'm talking about. A fight that isn't about one power-level beating the weaker one. Having someone with all types of weapons and/or fighting styles, that keeps people guessing.

I don't know why all people are complaining about the special. In my opinion it rocked in an original, Dragonball spirit, kind of way. The kind of way you can't understand if you don't like the original Dragonball series but only the Z elements. The non-Z-Uber-fanboy kind of way.

It was ok, if we talk only about humor parts. But the fight scenes were rather lame, and i realy wanted to see more SSJ Goku and Vegeta action, after all this time... But it was cool to see Yamucha using Sokidan (i just love this technique!), and Kuririn's Kienzan.

So: Humor: 9/10, Fight scenes: 4-5/10. And the whole special was about 6 or 7/10 for me ;P It was still good to see new DB ep after all this time.

I only have one thing to comment from this special DBZ ep... Goku felt the Ki of the radishes to go back home. O____O???

No, if he knows where he's going I don't think he needs to feel a ki.

I doubt the Powerpole would break. It is a mystical item. It has broken through Swords, Rockets, Mechs and everything with ease without any strain or even so much as a scratch. If Goku used it on Frieza he'd likely put a lump on his head.

In regards to the special, I don't think vegeta and goku for example were out of character, if it was in the middle of the android saga then yes, but this is two years after buu and we know onwards that there is no major threat since (even the narrator says pitiful this foe was that everyone had forgotten about him) and quite frankly the only thing goku and vegeta have left is to argue amongst themselves and it was a gem. However the only thing that contradicts the episode with the series is that bulma states in the second last episode that it has been ten years (since buu) that her and vegeta have met up with goku and she gets angry about it. Given how the special takes place just two years after buu it makes the sentence a bit odd as the special implies they been keeping in touch quite regulary.

It would be great if a new series could be brought in, maybe if the DB movie succseds then why not feed on it? If so then I honestly think the two authors of this webcomic should sell this idea to Toriayama. You have some people here who are prepared to translate this comic series to japanese so why not send a package. I don't know Tori would even recieve it but from what I heard the 'Dilbert' comic strips once started as webcomic material. So anything's possible.

If the DB movie succeeds? That an enormous if. Have you seen what evil king Piccolo looks like, May works for Piccolo instead of Pilaf, Krillin isn't in there and worst of all GOKU IN HIGHSCHOOL!!

who did kung fu hustle, that was fun to watch. So at least its not directed/written by Paul W.S. Anderson, the same man who manages to transform resident evil movie franchise into a unwatchable piece of trash.

Yes but it is obvious those stuff you've mentioned cannot hurt any Z-characters. Geez, these guys can survive planet-destroying attacks, what makes you think they'll get hurt by those little things like acid or nuclear explosions, well guess what? The Ki attacks in DBZ are 1000x worst than a nuclear head. These guys are invulnerable unless they are facing another powerful opponent.

Mada: I can tell you right now that you're wrong. Firstly, acid doesn't care about powerlevels. Secondly, viruses and bacteria don't care about powerlevels (as we saw with Goku). Thirdly, Vegeta's BBA against 19 was nuclear level (mushroom cloud and all) and thusly nothing prior to the Android Saga was as powerfull as a nuke. Fourthly, neither radiation or heat care about powerlevel. And lastly, if it can be done by a living person it can be done (and done better) with super advanced technology (which we saw with the Androids, 16 was a weapon not a 'powerful opponent', he was a powerful weapon).

Vegeta said that he was capable of destroying Earth, and Frieza almost destroyed planet Namek (and that was only because he feared that he would get caught in the explosion and die). Even Nappa destroyed a relatively large city upon his arrival, which is more than the average nuke can do.

The reason for Super Saiyan Vegeta's BBA only causing a nuke sized explosion is this:

Blast area size, or amount of collateral damage, does not equal the power of the blast. Just because blast A destroys a planet, and blast B only destroys a mountain, does not automatically signify that blast A is more powerful than blast B. The energy used for blast B may simply be concentrated and focused into one, small spot, so that it wouldnt destroy much of the environment.

Vegeta, when he used the Big Bang Attack, could have simply been condensing his blast in order not to inflict harm upon much of the environment that they were in.

they are not tuffles at least it is unlikely tuffles are half the size of a saiyan and/or human now if they are a hybrid tuffle saiyan thatde be believable to me i even agreed with some1 elses sugestion of this on here.
