That's the universe where Vegito defeated Buu without defusing. So we don't have a Goku and Vegeta there but a Vegito. That's the difference. I guess.

Talking about Vegetto... if the only difference WAS actually that he didn't defuse then, would that mean that he's as strong as "our original" Vegetto was?

So then, why is he having trouble fighting Brolly?
I mean, the latter got his ass handed to him by a full powered SSJ1 Goku... and then the other thing is, if Vegetto really would have trouble, let's say due to some unlimited power of Brolly or something... why wouldn't he just turn SSJ3 or something and end this fight quickly before Brolly gets out of hand? Oo

Maybe the little difference is that: Vegeta is stronger than Goku

maybe in that version, they had to fuse not to tempt buu into absorbing them so they could save the z-senshi, but because they werent as powerful altogether. so maybe that vegerot is quite weak, comparatively

An interesting idea for a universe is one where Cell (and/or Frieza, etc.) were "reborn" like
Majin Buu was into Uub... it would be interesting to see what those
kinds of characters would look like.

Actually... it would make sense that Vegetto would have trouble against Broly, well the Broly we caught a glimpse of frozen in the ice cap, apparently he destroyed everything he could find in his universe, and we all know how Broly continues to grow in power, even if he's bullying weaker fighters.. I believe that Broly is gonna wake up excited for a real fight, so yea i think it makes plenty of sense.. Let's also consider that Broly in the universe we know took on 4 super saiyans (and a Namekian) as a snack, so i can't imagine the potential of this Broly here.. and Vegetto is a fusion between two level 2 super saiyans i think, so it should make for a neck and neck fight. =]

Ah, you guys are right, the almost-identical universe seems to be number 16, which is Vegetto's. (The number can be seen towards the beginning of the manga, when the Z fighters from the main timeline arrive to the stadium.)

Ok just as I thought, the growing power theory - though I really missed the point about these 30 years ^^

Then my only question left would be one that interests me generally: Why does Vegetto fight as SSJ1 against Brolly in your comic? Of course we only see him go SSJ1 in the show, as he pummels Boo with ease...
But here, if Brolly is that strong, why doesn't he go further?

Is your theory that Vegetto can only go SSJ1 or at least that he cannot go SSJ3 because of Vegeta only being SSJ2 at that point? (Ok the latter sounds rather stupid considering that two SSJ1 kids that only saw SSJ3 once were able to do it in fusion, but I also read about that theory, so I threw it in as well.)
Or is it something else )like that Vegeta and Goku being weaker than the ones from universe 18)?

the difference, for all you guys wondering, is that in the other universe Vegito beat Buu and didn't defuse.

Why won't Gohan fight? It's an interesting comparision to know whether or not Goku or Vegeta ever surpassed him in strength, which I on the other hand don't believe is possible as his potential is much greater than those two. Still, if he woulp participate, I really think that Goku and Vegeta would lose the fight eventually. Even if they reach their maximum potential (and being 60+ years, which isn't long until they start to decline in power even for being saiyans) they shouldn't be stronger than Gohan, right? That's what I think.
His personality would also keep him from fighting. I suspect that he'll help dealing with I'K'L if he rampages.

I'm just happy to see a lot of Characters in this comic. Too bad Broly didn't do much. I'd also be happy to see my favourite Saiyajin within the comic...His name is Turles!

@Eison- No, he didn't :D I should've mentioned that I speculate that the tournament at some point will get cancelled because of I'K'L having his revenge served cold while being directed by his androgenic mother. You know, for not being allowed to participate since his mother is an ass. :D That's my speculation purely :).

pCell - Actually the scenes in which Freeza & Cell are still the same are anime only , so pephaps they are reborn as someone that Akira Toriyama did for the Buu saga?

Gohan is not coming as a challenger, what a shame. However I wonder if Gohan of universe 16 could come as a challenger. In this Universe, as Goku and Vegeta fused permanently, I wonder if Vegito could find anybody to fight and train with in normal days. (Unlike Goku and Vegeta who can fight each other) Vegito is really good in his brain. He may persuade Gohan to train with him in free time.
