Yeah, I saw you copied and pasted the same post multiple times. No expectation for you to read all or respond to all comments here. I'm just pointing out not just you, but everyone, is recycling the same arguments. "bra was possessed." "Vegito has been foreshadowed". These have been heard, processed, accepted and challenged again with new points that haven't been addressed (by most) yet.

Additionally, I vehemently reject and detest the notion that everyone criticizing Bra is just a "hater".. Again a lot of people (not all) have been very reasonable and fair in with their critical opinions, having not once offered unfounded accusations of "fanboysim" as "evidence" for why this comic is bad. and, a few select users in response have taken the lazy way out to throw out unfounded accusations of them "being haters".

Absolutely, I don't think it's unexpected for her to have an emotional response after what she did in that specific instance. With that, it just felt "sudden" My comment, though, was intended to be taken more generally. Generally, Bra has shown little to no remorse or accountability for her actions. Even while under the influence, she seemed pretty firm in her beliefs until she was called "weak willed" and broke free. That comes off jarring.


As for whether she's a good person or not, I'm not going to make judgements. She forsure is supposed to be a taken as a "good" character. And up until now, I would agree she's overall "good". That's why I'm personally frustrated with her writing. The Majinization imo undid what "good" her character had. And it's not b/c she was Majinized and not because she killed her brother, but the reasons she broke free of Babidi's influence and then the flashback that saw her even without Babidi kill everyone and everything then say and feel nothing but elated that she was "strong".

The flash back could've played out the same exact way to me except with Bra waking up and geninuely not knowing what happened when she powered up i.e. blackout or she was horrified with what she had done.

I'm not upset that Salagir is "pushing his female lead down my throat" because I personally, up to this point, LOVED (at one point) or at least liked Bra. I'm upset with his writing because I WANTED him to give me room to give her the benefit of the doubt.

Tien, Piccolo, Vegeta... All had successful redemption arcs b/c you could give all of them the benefit of the doubt somehow.

Tien was bad because he had bad teachings but finally renounced their teachings and joined our DBZ friends.

Piccolo was bad because he was born not knowing what "good" is, believing he was made to be a weapon of venegance against people he thought were evil, until he met Gohan who taught him kindness and purity and Goku who taught him mercy, and goodness.

Vegeta was bad because he grew up knowing nothing but war, fighting for survival with a survival of the fittest/dog ear dog mentality and after many years he finally learned to fight for unselfish reasons, his family and friends.

DBS Broly is also a raging murderous lunatic when he transforms. He gets the benefit of the doubt because not only can't he control his power, he isn't even fully conscious when he rages. And his father used him as a weapon. Broly, otherwise, has known nothing but peace and bothered no one.

We haven't been given one single reason to give Bra the benefit of the doubt.

Is she unaware of what she is doing when she kills people? No ..

Did she have remorse after realizing the damage she caused? Up until now? No...

She was a child then, she's 10+ years older now, did she grow, did she change? Still no.

Was she "mind controlled" debatable. But let's continue under the presumption she was. She broke free of Babidi's control for not even remotely pure motives after commiting very very terrible crimes we all expected to be the reasons she woke up instead.

Was she completely helpless under Babidi's will and needed someone to help/save her? No, she broke it on her own, which suggests the death of her brother, who she loves, and mass murder wasnt even motivation for her to fight back.

The only justifications anyone has come up with for Bra, is their own head canon. Or giving Salagir himself the benefit of the doubt for his writing out of universe: "this is the BEGINNING of her arc, it's not over" we're half way through the comic! And you shouldn't have to make excuses for the writing.


Not that she had much of a redemption arc to begin with, (Before the flash back scene what was the worst Bra had ever done? Almost destroy the earth and be a little arrogant?) She wasn't really villainous... Maybe not everyone's cup a tea, but I never saw anything wrong with her character before. Then she turned majin and went full heel and now all of a sudden she's apathetic, unremorseful, murderous, has no regard for life even family, no sense of responsibility, etc? She went from a character who was mostly good with a few unfavorable qualities to borderline sociopathic all of a sudden and the author is trying to encourage you to root for her. It's jarring. I don't get how people don't see it as such or at least understand how some could see it as such.

The Majinization was supposed to be the beginning of making her morally better (again, she really wasn't bad to begin with) but instead it's the beginning of making her significantly worse morally. And now less people, I and many others, want to root for her. (the goal of the protagonist typically is to convince the audience they are worth rooting for.) I wouldn't go as far as saying I want to see her die, (I considered preferring her go full darth vader having her heel it up and stretching out her "redemption" until the end. ) But I now find myself wishing this character was "off my screen" now.


Edit: Do we even know why Bra fell under Majinization to begin with? That's a geninue question this time. Maybe thats on me for missing it in the comic. Some users say it's b/c she wanted it but like, why did she want it? Why did she feel "weak"?


Well it was pasted just 1 time with additional arguements if you had read between the lines instead of ASSUMING it is entirely same.. and I did that just cause on previous page that post was made just about 2/3 hrs prior to new page so that we can have a good spirited discussion about that.

And we'll people hated bra for many years now. If you had read comments in previous chapters they are flooded with people wanting bra to be humiliated. And all those were unfounded. Just because she's strong and gifted amd has her own personality doesn't mean she's meant to be hated.!

People tend to forget her good side and times she helped other people around her. The time she cried of joy when pan was wished back in 2nd round end.

Awwww, look how happy she looks knowingly killing billions, destroying their home star, and consequently other bystander planets via supernovae....LOVE IT! Given the deadlines and other madness IRL, not going into minor nitpicks on the details. Overall the flow of it comes together.

Happy there was no deus ex machina to stop her rampage. Interesting to see a planet buster scene on a populated world, so theres ACTUAL moral consideration of actions. If the system has other populated worlds, hitting the sun is going to turn this from a few billion dead, to tens of billions dead x,D. I just hope the outcome of all this isnt just: "Oh no, anyway!"

From here, It'd be nice there really needs to be a GENUINE redemption/or/expansion arc of Bra. Her character seems on a plateau of: "Bad Bra, bad!"+finger wave+Dragon balls=all is well. Its fun watching her being a literal monster, but thats the easy of her story. Writing an arc of GENUINE learning/improvement isnt just a spa episode.

If shes going to be redeemed, Bra needs a redemption arc that works for her. She can remain arrogant and cocky, however, she needs to understand true suffering.....from a different perspective lol. Let her see first hand the actual consequences of her actions and someohow connect with survivors, lose power temporarily over an area she devastated. No matter the path of redemption, it should feel genuine for the reader.

HOWEVER, if shes going to remain this way, fuck it, EXPAND upon it. Imagine, a lengthy battle takes place the heroes cant win. She transmissions in, and vaporizes the "baddy" along with hemisphere. "If you wont kill the villian, I will. Im here to kill bad guys, not save lives." Pretty much embracing herself as the nuclear option if she is to get involved. Ooooooor she becomes a God of Destruction. She has the qualifications.

You have a type, huh? You seem to waifu the "ball-buster" type of woman. I can dig it. My ex-wife looked and acted almost like Android 18, and I think that type applies to waifus for me too. Additionally, Bra is so powerful that Vegetto doesn't see her as a child. Maybe that's part of the problem. Bra is too mature in most ways that people don't really see her as a child anymore. Yes, I call Gogeta Get Shit Done Gogeta, because in almost every appearance he's had (Z or Super, not GT as SSJ4 Gogeta decided to be Vegetto) he just showed up and got the job done instead of playing around cough Vegetto cough. Janemba? A wam bam combo and it was over. Broly? Yeah there was a bit of a fight, but Gogeta was fighting an uphill battle there until the end, and I think he was conflicted on killing him until the end as well. Either way he was going to Get Shit Done.

I agree with your assessment of Super. I like it, but it has its problems. That's the way I feel about DBM too. In Super, I wish they would have given Hit and the other Universe 6 characters more time to develop before moving onto the ToP. I'm very curious about what is in the other universes. We'll see if Gohan can become stronger as a human, which would be great as it would allow Kuririn and Tenshinhan to grow. However, we know that Gohan is where potential goes to be wasted until one very awesome moment when it explodes in magnificent blaze of glory only to return to the wasted quo.

Yeah, I can't imagine what Bulma would say when she was getting intimate with Vegeta, and he pauses to tell her that he is calling Kakarot over for some quick fusion action. Maybe that's the only way that society would accept Goku and Vegeta's love, and the most natural way for them to have a kid together. Bulma would be a very progressive woman if she went along with that - or she wanted to try something a little cough taller and bigger. Then maybe Bra would be a little more business and a little less brat, but I would worry that you would lose a waifu.

It would be hilarious if we had some sort of low-level warrior train himself up to battle Freeza and the Dragon Team. This could be like Broly, but without the BS (Yes, bull-shizz, but even bigger, Broly-shizz), instantly power-up to beyond SSGSS in the course of a battle. Maybe, he could go train with Ma-Kaioshin and gain, Ma-ki instead of God-Ki. Heck, that would be pretty cool in general, if some Saiyan managed to harness Ma-Ki instead of God-Ki, and they had a Ma-Ki version of SSJGSSJ. Then, the only person who could actually save us might be Piccolo. The Return of Piccolo DaiMaOh to story relevance. Piccolo could have a whole mental training sequence where he trains with his "father" to remember how to handle Ma-ki. Then, we can see a battle of between the "father" and the "son".

Either way, if this prompts Vegetto to threaten little Bra, he is not even half the man I thought he was. So...he's just one then, I guess. Ba-dumm tccchhh.

But all jokes aside, if this is what leads to him traumatising Bra, it is one of the weakest plot points I've seen around here lately. He's a grown-ass man (or 2), he knows this is an illusion, this should not be enough to make him do things like that. "Oh boy, the illusion(!) fuelled by me own stupid fears(!) showed me what could happen - well, gotta do what a man gots to do". Granted, we haven't seen the entirety of this story yet, but I am losing faith fast :D

I think the powerful villain from this chapter is probably Janemba, Hirudegarn or an original character, or maybe it is Gorkor the Great.

all kidding aside, last I checked just a bit over 50% hated her, the rest either liked her or were neutral.

It's not a scientific poll, but it does remind me of another bra poll that had a definitive majority. The "is bra a mary sue" poll on the english forums. I think it was a decided majority with a few saying she was. The vocal minority did not like how the poll went along.

Well, I think we're about to find out that Vegetto literally threw her to the wolves. He likely put her in horrible life or death situations in order to make her release her power.

Maybe she wasn't as naturally gifted as first thought, maybe she struggled increasing her power under controlled conditions, no threat situations. Maybe he let her get near death, gave her a senzu bean, then said to get back in the fight, no big deal right? Except she's a kid...

That'd mess any kid up, except Gohan because that was only a year and he had hope that his father would come back some day, and Piccolo wasn't his biological father nor was he as flippant as Vegetto seems to be... Bra likely hopes Vegetto would just go away.

i'm still part of the "U16 Bra hater" movement but if the next special will truly show her torment and what not...wouldn't it of made sense to show that torment before the esxcistance of Majin Bra so the readers could sympathize and or care about what the character went through to begin with?

You know, that's another thing. I swear to God that if you put a gun to my head I still wouldn't be able to tell you who the main character of this webcomic is, or where we're actually going with it, and that despite the fact that I seem to recall Salagir mentioning that we're about 2/3rds done with it. Like, I guess it defaults to canon Goku, but we spend so much time learning the precious little life stories of so many characters that I just have no idea who the protagonist is.

First time logging in to comment. But man, some people are acting like there’s never been a dragonball character who’s trashed everyone else whilst waiting for the main heroes to return. Frieza did this, Cell did this, Majin Buu did this. But especially frieza did this. Maybe the difference is that Frieza had tiers of transformation so the fight felt back and forth. Something this fight definitely lacks. But you know what else was a straight up massacre? The original Broly movie, once Broly went legendary Super Saiyan it was a wash until everyone poured their energy into Goku and he punched Broly in his knife wound.
They’re like “it’s taking too long, let’s just get this over with”, logically it should be taking this long, it’s exacerbated because as opposed to a manga that would release a bunch of pages a week or month, we get two to one to three pages a week. So people get mad that they’re getting more of the same thing, where as, re-reading shows that it’s relatively decent pacing.

Fair points, though the fact that she is this fully controlled does not speak highly of her mental fortitude or her character in general. Of the main characters that we see controlled by Babidi, both keep some semblance of their personality and individual opinions/desires.
Dabura questions Babidi frequently rather than mindlessly following orders, and Vegeta only follows orders when they line up with his own desires. The others we didn’t get to know well enough to get a sense of how they operated under the seal. Still, if Bra is on a Spopovich/Yamu level (assuming they were regular non-psychopaths prior the getting the majin mark), that’s not great for a person with so much power.

So, either Bra is incredibly weak willed or she was already a borderline psychopath. I hate to reference Batman v. Superman (as I was not a fan), but I feel like there’s more than a 1% chance she turns her insane power level on everyone (feeling like 100% at this point, lol), treat it like an absolute certainty and put her in the ground!

Anyway, I realize that Bra will be saved and redeemed and hopefully will grow as a character because of it... but while she’s sadistically murdering her family and allies, I feel totally comfortable snuggling up in the warm blanket of hatred I currently have for her!

Yeah, zangya the character isn’t loyal. But women with her demeanor and physic ARE waifu. If she was loyal, she’s the best waifu dragon ball has to offer. She just liked his power. Not his relationship with her dad. Just look at dbm, Vegetto barley talks to goten and trunks. And only talks to Gohan based on important mature matters. Actually with Buu and Vegeta, you could say that those who had the Majin Seal were never really slaves. Let's take a look at those who were canonly under Babidi's control.

Yamu - We don't know his backstory but when he saw Spopovich die by Babidi's hands, he tried to escape. And that's STILL with the Majin Seal.

Spopovich - Lost to Mr. Satan. Took immense joy on beating Videl, Satan's daughter. You could realistically see him wanting power.

Pui Pui - He does act like Bra does despite facing Vegeta. He definitely is a person who would want more strength.

Yakon - Honestly just seems like a random creature, but in DBM's Special Chapter the other creature was fighting him over Gohan, making it that even in Dragon Ball Multiverse's canon the Majin's Control is not absolute.

Dabura - Remember when Babidi finally got Majin Buu? What did Dabura, the most loyal of Babidi did? Fight Majin Buu (after he attacked him, mind you, but considering his face after Babidi thought he beaten Buu suggest he probably would have tried to get rid of Buu).

Including Vegeta and not Buu, that's three people who showed to be able to ignore Babidi's commands and two with a reason to accept it. And I'm pretty sure Yamu is no where near Vegeta in terms of pride or power. So logically, unless the writer decided to make Babidi different from the main canon, Bra accepted it willingly.

But I am going to suspect the writer made it so Babidi's control was the true fault. Because honestly it would be a lot better for a story perspective if it was Bra who accepted it. A moment of weakness and fear about being beaten despite being stronger made her go over the edge. And when freed, the consequences of her actions really makes her want to change to be a good person. Could also expand to Vegitto who blames himself for not being a good father figure to her but instead be the reason for her insecurities.

The only thing I see is that vegito loves bra the most, trust Gohan the most and does not really give a dam about goten and trunks...like at all. Honestly, I don’t think he cares much about goku and vegeta children. It’s just Gohan is very responsible, expirenced and mature so he trust him on things. But bra is vegito favorite. By far.

Majinized u16 Bra and pre-majin u16 Bra have the exact same personality, with the only "difference" between the two being that this time Vegeto is currently not around to stop her from going on one of her psychotic rampages again.

U16 Bra getting majinized did not cause any changes to her own personality or her own moral compass, she is still the same obvious Judas she has always been show to be both on panel and on the novel.

U16 Bra is not just an arrogant jerk, she is usually a complete psychopath, with the only thing keeping her in check being Vegeto being stronger than her.

The only time u16 Bra didn't act like a complete psychopath was when Pan got killed.

We saw it on panel when Babidi majinized the other tournament participants, however we didn't see on panel the process of Babidi majinizing u16 Bra, which inplies she may have not been majinized at all and that instead she probably may have intentionally painted a "M" symbol on her own forehead to troll Babidi and the heroes.

I do not hate u16 Bra, it is just that there is not way I would believe she is benevolent when she was already a psycho before she got majinized.

However...
This is seriously shaping up to be my favorite fight in the show! Bra's fall from Grace, and this her moment of triumph, have been nothing short of fantastic!
And yes I still stick by my character study of Bra if anyone remembers that, I believe that this is her defining moment. Years of being held back, of holding back natural instinct and great power, never allowing it to be free and always being in Gohan's shadow for it, all finally coming to a head here.
