This is incredible. I love the explanation, where the physical transformation is a byproduct of the Ki effect. And throwing in that Super Saiyan is actually killing them. It's just perfect! What a great way to incorporate the best aspects of the lore together. And it's been built up all along that they saw the benefit of Ultimate Gohan's state, and wanted to focus their training towards that. It truly is the peak of control. And of course Vegetto hasn't even thought of this. He's so powerful, he's never had to worry about wasting Ki.

Hmmm... I must say this is... okay. Which might sound harsh but really isn't. As I mentioned in the previous pages every time a DB fan-something (and DBS and GT sometimes...) does a new form for a new character I'm scared cause most of the time it's absurd, looks awful, makes no sense, just adds more hair, and most commonly just ignores the wall Goku and Vegy were facing and make them stronger just cause they trained harder. But here they didn't f*** it up. As Videl says, nothing changed, at least in looks, and that's both a brave move and a good move imo.

And the reasoning behind it is okay, Gohan's "Mystic" form is nothing more than his full potential unlocked (and a bit of extra cause magic), and a potential is something you're supposed to be able to achieve in ideal conditions, so Goku and Vegeta managing something that's at least close to it is a good idea. They should be weaker than Gohan imo though (even though I doubt it will be the case) cause Gohan was always hinted as having higher potential AND has the BS magic bonus, but I guess technically the characters stating that Gohan has higher potential and Gohan having higher potential ain't necessarily the same thing, so it's not necessarily wrong if he ends up being weaker. It would be really weird if the difference was big though.

Although to be fair, one of the things I like about DBM is it never went crazy with new transformations and when they did (Cold?) it worked well, so maybe this was to be expected.

PS: It's pretty amazing how some people, even after all these years, don't know how Mystic, UI, SSB, SSJ3 or even SSJ work. Not to mention those assuming Salagir said DBS stole his unpublished idea cause he just said the idea was conceived before DBS existed... Sometimes I'm really amazed lol
