Not sure I like this twist. If I understand this correctly these events are supposed to fill in the time between Frieza and Android Saga's. So a humbling this early doesn't quite make sense when that was 17's job. Or Vegeta's just stupid.

Honestly, given how full of himself he is when he shows up in the android saga and reveals his super saiyan form, i wouldn't be surprised if he wins this with little difficulty.

I am always struck by why U18 #18 in particular has aged noticeably since the Cell arc, whereas U14 #18 looks almost identical to when she was introduced, especially since she is wearing the same clothes.

Piccolo needs to fuse with himself, the namekians, and Gast. Then they can defeat XXI and then just use the dragon balls to reverse the merger. Easy peasy.

I was wondering, Do Androids 16, 17, and 18 exist in this universe, or have they been destroyed?

— What happened with Gero? Why aren't there androids on Earth? Goku died in the future timeline from the heart virus, so I assume he would still act and activate them or at least try to conquer Earth himself, like in U7 from DBM.

It's purely coincidence. I don't know what confirmation you're talking about. When I sometimes said "this can't be coincidence, right?", I was joking.

When we started releasing two years ago, we didn't know when the visions will actually happen, so this was impossible to plan ahead. But the timing is really impeccable sometimes. 😄

It's pretty obvious that all three are tense and have extremely short fuses.

Videl wanted to take the easy route. Secure their victory with the help of the U1 Dragon Balls. This, of course, means reviving her family members and then returning home. Vegeta is seething with rage at the thought of not avenging his children. Of bringing those responsible to justice.

And Videl, in turn, has another good point. A head-on attack on XXI could fail and lead to their own defeat. From Videl's point of view, Vegeta is openly risking the resurrection of their deceased family members for the sake of revenge.

Of course, Videl's second sentence was unnecessary. However, this applies to emotionally charged people. Especially parents who have just lost their children. And I think it suits Videl quite well. She has always been temperamental and argumentative. A feisty women afterall. Modern DB wants us to believe retroactively that this is not the case just because she got pregnant. We also mustn't forget that this is U16 Videl. She only met Vegeta once at the World Martial Tournament, and only briefly at that. According to the plot, Videl never saw him again and afterwards only knew Vegetto as a family member for 20 years. Videl doesn't really know Vegeta except from the stories of others and what she saw during the tournament from U18 and U13 Vegeta.

Oh boy, XXI better run. Vegeta wants blood.

I guess Son Bra isn't that broken up about Pan and Goten being dead. We could have focused on that bit of trauma, but I guess some humor is more important. Nevermind about building tension or the threat of XXI.

I don't know why you think Goku using Kaioken x3 and x4 was "transcended" but it was never stated, implied, or in any way shape or form said to be "transcended". That's a DBM exclusive term for Kaioken Also multipliers are just math. Multipliers don't change based on how high a number is. Multiplying something by 2 still results in double a number.

Looks cool but the "maximum" and "transcended" phrasing is kind of meaningless without something to reference against it, especially since multipliers were ditched.

The original was a bit scarier and honestly kinda too far so I like the rework.

I like this version of the page because Kakarots memories make his past more severe. Also, it cuts the most creepiest and possibly darkest scene of the multiverse comic.

Although it is not confirmed what exactly he meant, the indication is disturbing enough.

Piccolo trained Gohan in the original timeline and earned Gohan's respect. Nappa trained Gohan in this timeline, no wonder why Gohan respects him

I really try to not get into powerscaling.. but I just cant imagine that Gast, who kept up with his training, is struggling against a Cell at 1/5th power, who is alread far weaker than mainstream cell, esspecially after he just emberassed King Cold in his 4th form.


And given how people are likely still dying left and right, this cant be playing into his "Im looking for a challenge anywhere I can" attitude either. This is just... nonsensical.

I mean technically if by chance tien is stronger than goku was when he arrived on king kais planet he could possibly learn the moves faster . But I don't know 24 hrs to pull off kaio ken and spirits bomb is a tight window

I really like this comic, but I still think Nappa with sliced off hand and damaged by ki attacks should not be able to effortlessly one shot Krillin and Chaozu after their 10 year training.

This artist is really growing on me. I really feel the emotion when Chichi calls for Gohan in this page and in the previous one. Also I'm really hooked to the story

I don't know. I'm leaning towards these two being Chichi and Bulma. I could easily be wrong but the footwear matches up. I don't think any of the cyborgs and androids have attire like that on, both in the main and Ghast's timelines. If that's true then this might get a whole lot darker because there's no way Nasu isn't going to recognise on some instinctual level his own mother. Anything happens to her, that would likely cause him to snap and kill whatever Saiyan who murdered her.
