Did the spikes come before or after the freeze? It would make sense to freeze everyone first, then impale them, just like XXI vs Goku in the tournament.

If the spikes came after, how did Trunks have time to (attempt to) protect her? If he could react, then so could the others. I don't recall anyone else mentioning seeing the spikes before getting frozen - Goku even asked Piccolo how long they were out for.

The spikes hit them while time was stopped, so when it returned to normal, it was already too late. Trunks chose to face death hugging his sister.

I'm curious if this will be another Vegetto round 2 situation. If Uub will return in the midst of whatever Hellscape XXI just caused, and we then are left wondering what happened before they explain it again. Or if we get the events of the main universe beforehand, and then we'll not know when Uub's return will happen and he can have somewhat of a hero moment.

In the original manga it clearly says at the beginning of the Buu saga that Gohan is 16, which means Videl is also most likely 16. So they're both 14 here.
People who say Gohan was 11 during the Cell Saga usually use one of the English dubs as source, but the dubs aren't reliable at all. And even if it was in the original Japanese version, I'd still value Toriyama's words in the manga over Toei's in the anime.
Gohan was physically 10 during the Cell Saga because of a year in the Room of Spirit and Time, but his birthday was 9 years before that.

I think the new feature that allows to swap pages from mobile is actually more annoying than helpful, because it makes it very difficult to move around a zoomed page.

How did he know there were other saiyans coming? Raditz only told Piccolo that in the original when he was dying.

From a literary standpoint we need XXI to win this fight so that we can have a main hero versus main villain finale. Goku versus Gast would be less interesting than a mystery villain with interesting powers taking on our main protagonist in a battle for the multiverse.

So as I see it we have two options for how this plays out:

XXI wins and we get the obvious final fight of the tournament.

— OR-

Gast wins and something interrupts the final match, forcing the two to team up to overcome without a definitive outcome to their 1v1.

The second option happens plenty in Z/Super.

So the big question is whether Cell is on the side of the resistance or the androids. if his end goal is to assimilate 2 androids, then he would naturally not be on the androids side, he'd be trying to kill at least 2 of them. Could Cell be hiding somewhere in the resistance base?

That's it, Namekseijin Densetsu is finished!
Started in 2014 and finished initially in 2016, concluding part 2 of the story, I decided to resume this story years later to conclude Piccolo's story.
Having made the manga 321Y in the meantime, I decided to make this third part a sequel, both to Namekseijin Densetsu, but also to 321Y by involving Tambo, a character that I really like.

I hope you enjoyed reading this story, even if I am far from having a high level of drawing. I put all my heart into this story.

With these last pages, we arrive very far in the future of Dragon Ball. About 600 years separate us from the end of Dragon Ball, I wanted to show with this ending that even if the danger is always present (whether it's Bracaa or something else), Piccolo will always make sure to be able to defend the planet Namek, from his hands or from those of his successors.

After 561 pages, this fan-manga is coming to an end and I'm quite happy to have been able to share it with you.

Early 2025 will see the beginning of my new fan-manga. I hope you'll like it!

Good thing he is immortal so in practice he would only be out temporarily. I think Vegeta is fatally screwed here even if he beats Kakarotto and Raditz now since Kakarotto can just come back with his immortality and get his revenge before Vegeta is fully healed or healed at all (not counting the rebellions that might take place if they find out that Vegeta the tyrant can be beaten if they see Vegeta in such a pitiful state, at least those can get messy on him as well if he can't cement his position to his subjects as an invincible lord).

Raditz is no good guy, but I'm hoping he will get a good ending here. He and Yamcha had been the jokes of DB all these years. Now that U9 Yamcha finally had his moment, I hope U13 Raditz will have his too. And this U13 Raditz actually cares for his brother, unlike the "original" DBZ Raditz (U18) who wouldn't hesitate to kill Goku.

I DO wonder if the potential unlock that Raditz got transfers over to Kakarot when they fuse. If so, that would explain in part why Kakaditz is vastly improved over his previous self. I would also say that, to be completely fair, with as cocky as Raditz is, the hardest fight he probably ever had was against the Goku/Piccolo team up. We honestly do not have any clue what his "potential" is as he has only fought significantly weaker opponents up to this point and has never had the chance to excel.

And yes, the technique that can kill Buu should absolutely be able to work on Broly because Carbonite is able to and has killed him in another Universe (3). Carbonite works on a similar concept as Vegito's technique, by reducing the matter to its basic form (atoms).
The only reason this will not work is because Salagir's Broly is a poorly-written-bag-of-hacks and covered in a thick plate of plot armor.
Just look at this special: alreadt we have some of the warriors not engaging because they want to live in heaven in peace... as if they don't know that even Otherworld is not immune to what happens in the living realm. Surely the Kais would tell them if Majin Buu threatened the Universe AND Otherworld, then surely Broly does as well. Only plot armor makes our heroes make this dumb decision.

He lied, Raditz should be stronger than Vegeta now. First Vegeta can only use SS3 for a short time. Second Raditz still have Oozaru transformation.

In saying that, Raditz's progression is still really impressive. Remember he went from being lower than Frieza's first form to being close to SSJ2 Vegeta's overnight. And, that's not factoring in his Oozaru form! If he takes the earrings he'd probably fuse with Kakarot, most likely using deception or forcing it onto him. He'd be well above SSJ3 Prince Vegeta, and may even pose a threat to Vegito, plus he'd be immortal/half immortal on top of that.

Also Has Salagir forgot Oozaru? If he's sub-SSJ2 Vegeta tier, his Oozaru would wipe the floor with Vegeta.

as others pointed out in my previous comment, it's probably true that this is either raditz's maximum for good, or the elder kai is just lying to get him to fuse with someone (most likely kakarotto) and become a truly powerful champion: ultimate/mystic powerup, mental block from doing evil (most likely will work for stabilizing kakarot's insanity in the fusion), and of course the fusion itself. also thanks to zen buu powering up kakarotto earlier we know he is still fully in control of his oozaru state even after years of lacking a tail, and although U18 vegeta detached it, i'm inclined to believe a fusion where one saiyan has his tail remaining would end up with the tail anyway, and with both having the eye lamps, kakaditz will most definitely be on some level equivalent to buu saga super vegito or potentially greater due to kakarot's stabilized mental state allowing them to fight with a clearer mind and the ultimate powerup bringing out both raditz and kakarot's maximum potential in the fusion, and of course the oozaru form will boost his power beyond normal. old kai doing some RPG item and stat optimization tactics with the potara mechanic lmao
by DBM standards, like we saw in U13 Vegeta VS Raichi, the super saiyan forms are each in a realm of their own, so much so that the only way a super saiyan can ever match a super saiyan 2 is if their base power is so vastly different, something that seems to be achievable only through fusion and the offspring of a fusion, so his oozaru state will most likely be a greater boost than just x10, you have to account the fact that SS Oozaru exists in DBM, and then apply the old kai powerup to the oozaru form as you would SS for kakarotto's oozaru. so we're definitely looking at a form with a greater multiplier than just 50x or 500x

How strong are they exactly? We don't know for a fact (until we get power levels, if we do), but here are a few infos that we know are DBM-canon:
— DB is set in the late 700s, during which Freeza and Coola are in their 200s and Cold in his 700s.
— This special is during the early 500s, so Cold and his brother are probably in their 500s or late 400s, so considerably older than Freeza and Coola, but still younger than Cold when he died (duh).
— Frost Demons become stronger with each generation, but we don't know by how much. Like, it could be 3% as well as 60% for all we know. Let's say it's about 10-15%.
— According to Salagir, Frost Demons' power doubles when they transform (it's true between reduction forms, but I don't know if it applies between 3rd and 4th forms).

So if Cold and Polar are in their original form, they should be much stronger than Freeza/Coola/basic Super Saiyan. I know their final potential is lower than Freeza's, but I doubt it's by half. So unless they stick to restriction forms (which is possible, since Cold still struggles with it centuries later), they should be at least stronger than Freeza. But still below a cyborg, because Cold barely reaches that level centuries later.

Now, what about Snower? He's obviously stronger than his sons, but I'm not sure how old he is. Can anyone who's familiar with Hanasia fanfiction or the Frost Demons' genealogy tell us what is Snower's age?
After a little research, here are the ages that Hanassia's novel gives us, along with my deductions about their power levels:

Year 503:

Snower: 1.039 years (estimated level in its final form: Cell semi-perfect content).

Cold and Polar: 556 years (estimated level in its final form: A17).

Year 764:

Cold: 817 years (deductible level: A16/Cell imperfect maximum power).

Cooler: 209 years (deductible level: intermediate between Trunks SSJ (first time travel) and Goku SSJ yadorat).

Freezer: 194 years (deductible level: Frieza lol, well this is the mecha, who was totally confident of being able to beat Goku SSJ alone, so a level higher than that Goku but lower than Gohan SSJ of the future is correct).

Based on this information, we can assume what biological period all the cold demons seen are in.

Snower would now be a middle-aged adult, bordering on seniority, while his children are currently at the end of their youth.

While Frieza and Cooler from the Namek saga to the multiversal tournament would be very young adults.

And since they are only separated by a generation, I deduce that Polar at his maximum power could stand up to Lapiz.

True, but Raichi is tampering with the balance of the multiverse by intervening in worlds he has no business messing with. Yup, I actually think the DBM tournament fights are far too short in general. Every time I recommend this comic to someone, one of the responses I always get, is ...
"Most tournament fights seem rushed."
Remember, those people have the opportunity to read over 2000 pages at their own leisure. And indeed, with the exception of the gag fights & the handful of very well staged battles like Vegeta vs Raichi, Vegetto vs Broly, Cell vs Dabura, etc, the fights don't seem long enough imo. I'm really glad it's really taking its time here.

Saiyan-Arc: Vegeta wins -> 1
(Goku is essentially incapacitated and is literally saved by Gohan, Krillin & Yajirobi)

Boo-Arc: Vegeta wins -> 2
(Even though, Goku would have won de jure with the SSJ3, de facto he was unconscious on the ground and Vegeta was not)

DBM U18 Special: Vegeta wins -> 3
(Similar to the Boo arc, both fight only in the SSJ2, and again Goku does not use the SSJ3. In the end, Vegeta wins the honorable SSJ2 duel).


Perhaps it is due to the false memory syndrome of many people who believe Goku actually won each of their fights. However, it may also be because many just want to express with such statements how much they would like to see Vegeta win once in a fight against Goku, with both giving completely everything and not holding anything back and without any intervention from others.
(But then you should say it like that and not write confusing comments that make others think that Goku once won a fight against Vegeta.)

I'm loving this art and this fight so much. It's some of the best of all worlds in this entire series and I'm lapping up every bit of it. I'd do the Dance of Respecting Mastery and Brilliance, but alas I'm just a comment section poster - I'm also fat lol.

I'm also looking forward to when mondocool finally narrates the completed version of this fight. We're close to the end now, but I have no idea how close. The first chapter of this fight is 32 pages long. I know there was a preamble and all of that, but it's still among one of the longest chapters in this whole series. This page is just #21 with 25 being a typical length. So 25-32 (or possibly longer) is possible. That means that this fight may not even end this week. It'd be great to read other participants impressions and thoughts on the whole fight, but I have a feeling the I'K'L finally being born is going to cut that very short.

This fight could go either way from what we know so far now. I want to say that Vegeta is still going to win somehow, but I'm betting my zeni on Goku. It's the most minute of observations and advantages that usually allows for Goku to win his tougher fights or to at least show some kind of dominance. He has multiple within this fight and outside of it that may be enough for him to just barely claim victory. I don't think it's brought up enough, but Vegeta is older than Goku. I know that as a saiyan he gets to stay in his prime until right before he's a super old man, but there has to be some kind of minor age-related penalty on the physical side when compared against someone of similar capabilities.

Vegeta is the first to voice the need to move beyond his current limit and that would mirror when he was the first one actively focusing on ascending beyond super saiyan. Great idea and since he's matured he actually hit the right path on his own this time around. Thing is, he likely unlocked super saiyan 3 first. I'm guessing that with Goku already having that form that he got to practice with and understand this ssj0 form first that they're using now. It may be why he's been more reluctant to use ki based attacks in this form while Vegeta has initiated them far more often and while expending far more energy doing so.

Vegeta has burned through so much energy during this fight and that may end up being his downfall. He started off so great with that beautiful elbow to the face combo. He's been putting on more heat and pressure, but he's been surprised three major times now. The after-image, the IT to grab his leg then wombo-combo him and now this concentrated kamehameha that has pierced then dissipated his final flash for a potentially upcoming and devastating blow on the next page.

The jury is still out on whether Goku actually forced the dissipation or if Vegeta decided to slyly let it go so that he can try a last minute dodge and counter-attack combo. Vegeta does favor using ki blasts more than Goku in their historical fights while Goku has always liked showing off what the unification of body and spirit can do along with his (stolen) techniques. Vegeta may finally get the win with 'Vegeta's Attack' here. Then again, Goku's last resort headbutt could be making a show here soon if the back-and-forth continues. Either way, this is a good fight and I'm enjoying it. No one should be mad with whoever the winner is, this is a pretty good showing.
