I get the feeling that Old Kai and Raditz really are dead, that means that South Kaioshin is under XXI's dominion, but since when? The first page of the chapter with South and the "Corruption!" "Destruction!" seems weird. If it was I'K'L warning South, then he would have been way more wary of XXI I feel like during their encounter. Was it possible instead that South was controlled by XXI this early on instead? Hard to say really. At the very latest I guess South got snatched on his way from XXI to Old Kai, if South is indeed under his control.

Goku's first response to hearing about Buu and Frieza was "I wanna fight them
His first time meeting Beerus he immediately asked to spar
When hearing he died without getting to fight the androids His first response was regretting a different version of him didn't get to fight

Heck, even with Cell, he planned from the start to let Gohan do it and knew he had no chance but he still fought first anyway

Simply put, Goku would NEVER give up without trying and if its "friendly" setting he'll definitely try fighting the stronger opponent just to see how well he measures up (it is completely in character for him to even challenge Vegetto to a spar just to see how well he'd do)

So yeah, either this is XXI's wish (which shouldn't be possible unless that dragon is actually stronger then Goku) or someone here really has no clue about Goku's character to ever write something this out of character

I think they did train seriously, like how everyone trained for the androids, because they thought the saiyans could land at any time. I'd put Yamcha and Krillin closer to Tien, and Nappa was more like 8k in the Saiyan Saga so maybe like 10k or 12k now.

Far above Raditz, yes. Nappa? Maybe, maybe not. Most of them could have matched or beaten Raditz by the time Nappa and Vegeta arrived on Earth in canon, and Nappa still almost soloed the whole team. I say almost because he'd have been dumb enough to try to catch Krillin's kienzan had Vegeta not given him a heads up. Besides that little verbal assist, he demolished a team of five, at least three of which were equal to or stronger than Raditz.

I feel like a lot of people underestimate Nappa's power because they still go off of that old 4,000 rating for him. That's not even possible to be correct. He was batting Piccolo (3,500) around like it was nothing and gave Goku (8,000+) a challenge before he used Kaioken. Nappa was more like 6,000 or 7,000.

If all four of them are stronger than Nappa, they can probably take Vegeta together.

in the original Saiyan saga, the earthlings got their power levels to 1k+ in a year's time. given another 10-12 years (depending if they used hyperbolic time chamber), i think it's fair to assume their power levels are each approximately 10k+. however, i'm assuming that the Saiyans didn't get much more powerful themselves since they likely didn't have any intense battles during that time.

my estimated power levels:

Vegeta: 18k
Gohan: 15k
Tien: 13k
Krillin: 12k
Yamacha: 11k
Chao: 10k
Nappa: 6k
Radditz: 3k

Gohan is the big question mark, but I'd say he's likely already far more powerful than Vegeta when he gets angry

I'm not sure if Vegeta is just wrong or if it's a mistranslation, but they don't change their power level with their emotions, that is only Gohan. They just can raise it or lower it due to ki control.

Still don't get why they lied about Gohan being killed to Gast; there's literally no benefit for them for doing so. I can understand him surviving when he was attacked when younger and they sorta hid him, disguised as the chicken guy, and maybe keeping up the ruse when questions by Gast about Gohan? Maybe? I'unno. Just seems all to weird and I can't actually figure out how that plot hole will be filled fulfill-fully.

Since the topic was discussed somewhat prominently on the previous page, I wanted to make a comparison. If Captain Chicken really is Gohan, his size in relation to Videl wouldn't be so strange. Both also have a very similar size difference in U18 (DBZ). Videl is a bit smaller than Gohan in both universes (U18 & U7).

A lot of people is claiming this to be gohan…. It definitely can be but I’m going to say that it’s trunks who we are looking at. Bulma doesn’t look that young compared to the beginning of the android saga. I’m assuming a lot of time has passed since dr gero came about and beat the z warriors and eventually made a utopia for androids. So we can be looking at a “future trunks version” of this universe.

I can be wrong, but it doesn’t feel like the lie they said has to do with gohan. Theyre facial reaction said a lot when talking about gohan, besides gohan isn’t the type of guy who would let his friends be upset over him honestly.

Yeah, I'd love a few DBM chapters focusing on this universe (but not on the budokais as previous specials: only on the "DBZ timeline" z Sayian invasion, Cooler's Empire, Androids, etc.) to show us how the Z warriors managed to get so strong!

XXI is attacking the kid cause he can, it doesn't disqualify because according to the tournament rules, the kid is basically part of him and his abilities.
Attacking the kid just baits the hero (Gast) into protecting him, making Gast even easier to kill.
Something that could be cool and a little unexpected would be if Goku and others jump in too to save the kid.
If that were to happen Goku would be disqualified and XXI would win the tournament, turning the whole thing into the worst case scenario.
This story needs more of the good old "things get worse before they get better" treatment.

Uub his first real challenge, his victory felt really un-earned. Uub knocked him out for a while and he managed to get up before Uub did. That's kind of lame.
