Oh yeah, kinda forget this is from French sometimes. If you take into account the fact Dragon Ball is from Japan. That would make this story double foreign.

With the colors, I realized Bardock Armor is broken and he doesn’t have a tail. (The Tail would’ve turned Gold in SSJ after all.) Neat detail.

My point was, this part of the story is all about what the warrior “Should’ve done”. I’m judging this section by that standard. By the choices the heroes could’ve chosen with what was available. Not by the idea of anything goes cause multiverse. It was explained why Dabura wasn’t an option in the story, therefore it’s a cheat to said that the warriors should’ve involved. Which makes this feel like that Disney + “What if”, where it claimed to be about the butterfly effect. Instead focus on pulling whatever crap it wanted to do with the idiotic excuse of multiverse.

Also, Hollywood and MCU essentially killed the ”it okay because the multiverse has possiblities” excuse.

Honestly, I can just imagine these survivors. Having to suffer not one, but two apocalypses. And the first good news you heard in over a year is so convulsed all you can do just is shrug it off.

My point is this, this is a multiverse tournament with monkey-human aliens can transform blonde to gain a power-up. I can accept that certain things like a kid having their neck snapped and other ultra-graphic murders. Why? Cause the story decent and doesn’t pays too much attention to it. Just gotta accept there needs to be some leeway in these stories. (Not asking for the story to go full blown Garth Ennis “Crossed”, mind you, but some leeway nonetheless.)

After watching the bull crap of What If. I’ve gained a greater appreciation for DBM. Mainly due to the fact it sticks to one changes causing a butterfly effect. (EX: What if the Namek fused into 1 warrior.) It makes these development have weight. Stuff like Krillin being the last warrior. Gero becoming a dictator. Just cool.

I get the idea is that this is suppose to end like Dragon Ball. (Open-ended and left to the reader imagination.) but it feels like a tease. At least give us a bit of a fight so we could see how far Tambo grew. Or very least, could we have seen Tambo mom? (For more than a single panel.)

I’ve always been on the idea that Trunks arrival had a butterfly effect. Where his arrival cause a slight temporal vision. Where individuals gain some slight insight to his future self. Therefore Gero able have better understand of his work and realize the implications sooner. Hint 19 and 20.

From what I can gather Bracaa immortality is the same as U-13 Karakotto. Therefore we can presume it functions the same way. Where he can survive any, but heals normally. Can only regenerate upon total destruction. Meaning if their a hole in his chest, it will not heal normal cause most of his body will stay intact.

Gast might not be the weakest, but he certainly isn’t the strongest. He was getting a beat down by U-3 Broly and U-13 SSJ3 Vegeta. Both surface level compare to their U-18 counterparts. I say Gast is a more defensive fighter, that tries to exploit the cracks in his opponents.

Kakaditz, is a fusion of Raditz and Kakarrotto of U-13. Raditz had the power, but lack the confidence and willpower to get better. Kakaratto had the power, but lack any semblance of sanity. Original the fusion would’ve been a perfect blend of the 2 Sayian with the mental block. Unfortunately Kakarrotto madness must’ve overwhelmed both Raditz side and elder Kai control. Now a lunatic on the loose with no brakes in sight.

The original page was also in color. So it one the few time you can just how much the artwork improved. There background of the audience, more texture, hand down more beautiful in every way.

You were one of a kind, Toriyama. You had a humbleness about you. You freely admitted to being lazy, forgetful, and overall carefree. Yet, you managed to create some so magical. Something that got us to come together. Incredible.

I do like how both sides are depicted. It’s fitting given what we seen so far. Bojack crew is a bunch of straightforward brawlers. So it makes sense that his group is very disjointed, egotistical, and self-destructive. On the other hand Polar is an ancestor of Freeza, so it makes since that the army would do all the heavy lifting. Their highly organized, humble-ish (as in they know they’re Boss is OP compare to them), and productive.

It’s little consistencies like this that I miss in modern stories.

They’re something sweet in the simplicity here. How we drop down from the stars above to the duo fist bumping on the ground. It kinda reflects on the strange relationship the two share. From bitter enemies to the closest of friends. Acknowledge they may have reach unimaginable heights, yet humble enough to admit their flaws.

Not gonna lie, I kinda wish DBM ended on this note. Although I’m glad it’s not.

The ultimate paradox of Vegito. He has Vegeta and Goku drive to reach new limits and face strong opponents alright. However…

1. He has Vegeta arrogance, but none of the pride. Vegeta at least tries to do the hard-work and has the honor to take his opponents head on to prove number 1. Where Vegito seem more interested in being “proactive” in case like Bra. (If you get what I mean.)
2. He has Goku drive, but none of the passion. Goku loves fighting for the sake of fighting and improving himself no matter the circumstances. Where Vegito prefer to be at people up to blow off steam.
3. Also Vegito was born before the Kid Buu battle. Were Vegeta able to self-reflect, see being the strongest doesn’t really matter. So they’re that mess too.

Pretty clear Vegito isn’t a warrior like his counterparts. He’s essentially a thug. A thug that’s reaching his boiling point. 1 Replie(s)

At first I was a bit iffy on this whole project. Thinking: “Why read the same story IN COLOR?” Seeing little detail and pages like these makes me happy I did. For it feels like the One Punch Man Manga vs Anime scenario. Where the story diverges just enough to stays the same, but with different elements. 1 Replie(s)

Great fight! It feels a little anticlimactic given everything that happened. starting from an all out brawl of epic unimaginable power levels. To a bloody battle of two guys just duking it out. So I get why it ended that way. At this point they were at the bare minimum. Fight probably couldn’t have lasted more than a minute based on the injuries they sustained. Still, it doesn’t feel off-putting to end with a swift knockout.

I love how this fight slowly winds down. First being an absolute power show we can’t keep up with. Now ending with a slug fight between two exhausted warriors on their last leg.

This page reminds me of the YUGIOH Card Mirror Force.

Got to give it to you guys, this is incredible. I feel like the silence makes the fight feel so dramatic. Like there no banter or stupid jokes being thrown around. The fight is purely centered on the artwork itself. With makes each blow feel so impactful.

I only asked, Buu, because this reminded me of the Future Trunk special. The enemy killed the hero friend and master. Our final image of said master is of the face from a sideways angle. Where we see his this eyes have gone blank to indicate his soul has left his body. (This scene probably inspired by that, kudo.) Plus, Dragon Ball is known for the blank eyes for dead characters. (Just wanted to clarify my confusion, don’t turn me into candy.)
