I personally, hope that Gast wins
Just because XXI loses the tournament doesn’t mean that he won’t be a threat in the story, and to all universes
XXI as a villain is interesting, but his fights are not (in my opinion)
Every time he has a fight, he does the cheapest thing he can to win, which is boring to watch
I would much rather see how much of a chance Goku stands against Gast’s full power with his new ssjn
I also don’t see how Goku could be a more challenging opponent for XXI than Gast.

I actually think Vegitto can beat Zen Buu. Every time they have fought, Vegitto isn't near 100% and easily can destroy him. He's probably faster and stronger and may be able to make a barrier to prevent magic like he did when he was eaten by Buu.

Broly got burn marks too against Vegeto and he’s supposed to be invincible
In a similar situation Recoome who is not invincible, got burn marks along with his armor getting destroyed and was mostly unfazed and proceeded to thrash Vegeta with medium effort.
