Freezer is calmly told that the planet is not worth it by Snower, and they leave it in peace. That will not help them when Broly is born on a planet that is still very much wild. With no Kaioshin to kill him as a baby and no frost demon to destroy the planet, he grows up similarly to universe 3 (but with no Bardock future visions). When he finally transforms into the Legendary Super Saiyan, he starts travelling between planets, attracts the attention of the Frost Demons. Snower is terrified, and either asks everyone to jump him together (they all die, and we go to universe 20 as Broly becomes unbound), or to keep as far away from him as possible. In the second scenario, they are eventually approached by Kaioshin and Kibito, who tell them of what will happen if Broly is left unchecked (he knows from 1000 years ago). They devise a plan to push Broly into the carbonite planet and kill him that way, against the promise to let Frost Demons reign unchecked from now on. The universe becomes similar to U8, but with a lot of worlds to rebuild, until Snower dies and Cooler kills his father and uncle in the hope of reigning all alone, but that's in the far future.

The reason Vegeta doesn't use IT is probably simply because he hasn't mastered it at the same level as Goku, who has been using it as an integral part of his fighting style for decades.

Not Vegeta afaik, but in Dragon Ball GT (produced by Toei animation), the main cast constantly forgets they can fly, with some comedic moments where they fall down cliffs, or even Goku SSJ4 grabbing a scaffolding to avoid falling.

The art is extremely Toriyama-esque. I feel that the panel composition doesn't quite fit, with not enough introductory shots for new characters or characters starting acting immediately without having gotten a panel to show them showing up. Between pages 40 and 50, many characters appear and are immediately attacked by devil kid with almost no indication of why he does that. Things just happen with little reason. The whole thing with the insect gods felt reminiscent of One Punch Man rather than Toriyama, with monsters of the week appearing from the blue and getting immediately killed.
The police force from Dr. Slump could also use just a few panels with a "somewhere near" and a few interactions among themselves before interacting with the main character (the insect gods did really good on that point with the "don't think about my mother" thing). That does a lot to make a character memorable to people who don't know them. Yeah, in Arale's case, most people here already know about them, but not all of them, and even for those who have read Dr. Slump it's nice to see them interacting as both a reminder and a bit of slice-of-life. 1 Replie(s)

Both Gast and Piccolo are very analytic. They always find a counter to what they are up against when they are overwhelmed in pure power. The difference is that Gast was overwhelmed once in his life : against Buu. On the other hand, Piccolo has the memory of Daimao, he was beaten once by the Mafuba, and created the Mafuba Gaeshi. He was beaten by Goku as Daimao because he left him a hand, and took it to heart to completely immobilize him next time. He was beaten by Goku again through power differences, and devised the Makankosappo so that being the weaker wasn't the reason he'd lose. He was overwhelmed by Freeza's final form and knew to take Krilin's and Gohan's powers to give Goku some time for the Spirit Bomb. He saw #17's infinite energy during their fight and created the Hellzone Grenade to finish it in one blow. He's the one who came up, in a few seconds, with two ways to stall Super Buu on the lookout, first by making him kill all remaining humans, then by invoking that Videl was the one asking him to wait for an hour.
Piccolo has always been on the backfoot in fights, and he threaded the needle of a strategy multiple times, becoming invaluable multiple times across the series. He is not shown to find counters to specific techniques except the Mafuba, but he is absolutely known to find ways to circumvent desperate situations.

Let's say Buu is about equivalent to Vegetto SSJ2, and Juna is around Bra SSJ2 (very rough approximation). That's still a whole tier above Bra SSJ1, which herself was presented as equivalent to Gohan when they fought in space. Gohan is already stronger than Goku SSJ3. Going from that level to the level of Juna would be like going from the level of Goku at the Cell games to Goku SSJ3. Which, as a reminder, took Goku 7 years, in heaven! Goku is a saiyan, built for combat and getting stronger (with an in-built way to do so when they get close to dying, and transformations to unlock that increase in power more easily) and was training in heaven, where your body does not tire.
