The Namek people have always been iso­lat­ed from the other races of the uni­verse, even if contact was made from time to time. Vis­i­tors came a few times and some nameks had visited sur­round­ing planets. I'll tell you about it next time if you want.

But these con­tacts were quite rare and became in­creas­ing­ly limited over time. Some races had con­quer­ing be­hav­iors and, al­though Namek had only few re­sources, the ap­ti­tudes of our people were known and could attract. We had to isolate our­selves as much as pos­si­ble.
