Even when Gokū fought Beerus, it was in the stratosphere, even if it was the minimalist reaches of it.

Friggin'...I just can't. I don't wanna devolve into a profane rant because that'll get this account demolished, but this is just ludicrous.

I mean Kid Broly in U3 wasn't even LSSJ and he was flying across space. Not defending this or anything but I thought that this was actually known. Still dumb because again, every other Saiyan needs oxygen, maybe the LSSJ mutation, which causes invulnerability also can help a Saiyan survive space without oxygen, kind of like Frieza or even Buu.

I don't want to even give them that kind of credit, sadly. Its just shilling Broly, plain and simple. I haven't been paying this too much attention, since the only thing I come to DBM for anymore is the art, and the only artist worth their salt is Asura. So I typically avoid these anyway but I have a friend who likes me to suffer, so he shares this from time to time. Ugh.

Why are you malding? If you actually payed attention or looked into it you'd see that this LSSJ and the Saiyans in general have a different backstory. Because when DBM came out, it was before Super and didn't want to continue off of GT. They filled in a lot of the blanks and they're not gonna change it now after 10+ years. The thing is, what's even wrong with this version of Broly? There's nothing wrong with him because it makes sense in DBM canon, and was established years ago.

Why is Broly so strong?
He's not the same Broly as in the movies (indeed, I give myself the right to change everything that's not from the manga).
Broly's "legendary" power causes his strength to be always increasing, as long as he is alive. Thus his power rises with each passing minute.
Our heroes have met Broly during an equivalent of Movie 8, and during an equivalent of Movie 10. Both times they barely succeeded in repelling him.

Broly's "the Legendary Saiyan" special powers:

— Every 1000 years, one Saiyan is born as "Legendary".
— This Saiyan is very very strong.
— This Saiyan loves violence, and is inhabited by rage.

— In LSSJ, he got white eyes, huge muscles and green aura. He is totally blinded with rage and seeks only violence.
— In LSSJ, this Saiyan turns indestructible: attacks just don't hurt him. He can be pushed away, but not harmed.
— In LSSJ, the power of this Saiyan grows constantly.
— In LSSJ, this Saiyan won't get back to normal except in case a great shock.

So they've managed to explain their stupidity. Believe me, that doesn't make it better, it just means they're trying to justify it for their low quality fanfic.

I guess first off, I feel kinda bad for the creator of this special seeing as how many people are hating on the story. He got handed an invincible fighter and told to make a conclusion with said fighter.
On the contrary to what I just said, I do feel like they wasted a perfect opportunity to make a good conclusion for Broly. He's the Hulk of DBZ, and even he ain't invincible. Take World War Hulk for example, it's about Hulk going commando on all the Marvel heroes of that era, but even he doesn't challenge all of them at once. He picks them off in small groups or even individuals at a time, and even THEN he gets injured.

DBM Broly's way too over powered, so let's scale him down to just below Ultimate Gohan's level. With that, we can make an entertaining story. Here's how I would've told it.

Let's say this story takes place 5 years after Buu dies. It goes better with the power scaling, fills in a HUGE needless blank period, and I don't see Broly screwing around for over 10 years since last time, he headed straight for Earth.
Broly still does an Aerial strike which ravages the Earth, leaving only Goku, Goten, Trunks, Vegeta, and Gohan alive. As everyone's awake on impact, they take minimal damage except for Gohan who was asleep, and gets gravely injured.

Broly first heads for Vegeta who's coincidentally with Trunks. The 3 of them fight with Broly having the upper hand, Vegeta tells Trunks to flee which he does, but shortly afterwards Vegeta gets killed only having given Broly a few small bruises. Before Trunks can reach any of the Z-Fighters, Broly catches up and brutally slaughters him. There goes Vegeta and Gotenks.
Goku TPs to Broly, leaving Goten behind since he's not at that level yet, goes SSJ3, and fights Broly, with a heavily injured Gohan rushing in to avenge Videl/Pan. The two of them over power Broly and start to do some heavy damage on him, but before they can finish him, Goku runs out of Ki (Ala SSJ3), and Gohan succumbs to his injuries, allowing Broly, who won the war of attrition, to kill them in the most brutal way imaginable, finally satisfying Broly's long quest.

Somewhere else, Buu absorbs Piccolo and a frustrated Goten, and heads towards a very injured Broly. The two duke it out, with Broly's 'invulnerability' and Buus regeneration giving for a lengthy fight. Every time Broly destroys Buu he regenerates, and Buu's attacks are hurting Broly, but not enough to put him down. Buu uses the SPC, Broly dodges, seeing that that would've killed him otherwise, and then out of fear and frustration, he launches a volley of Kis that destroys him. As he regenerates, he keeps getting hit by the volleys, until he (Buu) runs out of steam, and gets obliterated once and for all.

This way Broly still comes out as a mighty Hulk levelled fighting machine, but he has a believable struggle before he comes out on top.

the broly wank is maximum

Honestly, this is an incredibly tedious chapter so far. We all know Brolly is 'destined' to win, but he's basically not struggling at all to do it. He's not even so much as been seriously threatened ever since it started at the beginning of the last chapter.

There really needs to be more dramatic tension in this special for it to work. There was in some of the previous special chapters where the villains won, but Brolly started out at an overwhelming position in the first place and it hasn't gotten any better.

LMAO Goku literally gave Broly a scar and punched him unconscious in the first movie like WTF are you talking about? I know that Broly having an impenetrable defense is FAN FICTION AND NOT FACTUAL AT ALL, but don’t retcon the first two movies. If you couldn’t break through Broly’s defense, then Broly doesn’t lose to the sun like EVER!

This is silly. If Broly came back in Z to face SS3 Goku, he'd be stronger than Goku. He'd probably have been written to take a Spirit Bomb powered by Gotenks, Buu, Vegito, Mystic Gohan, and the rest of the Universe.

It doesn't matter why he's this powerful. Yeah it's lazy writing, but so is sudden new transformations, the staple of Dragonball.
