Damn! If I were Tien, I would be taking advantage of this to levy a Kikoho at Vegeta. A blast like that could really turn the tides.

IIRC, wasn't it suppose to be just an unspecified high level of Kaioken mixed with a boost from Piccolo? Haven't watched the Lord Slug movie in a long while, so correct me if I am wrong.

— Nappa: 4.500 (I don't think he was much stronger than original counterpart. He was the second in charge but a mid elite who already trained himself without too many opportunities to grow more)
— Raditz: 1.950 (he bear the title of weakling but maybe in this universe was much stronger compared to his original power level, potentially have been even trained poorly with Gohan and co.)
— Gohan: 3.500 (max 8.500 when enraged and at his peak)

Good guys
— Tien: 3.100 (he even trained with base Goku who in original canon was 5.000, so in these years without any so special training this was a good level, surpassing his 1.830).
— Krillin: 2.880 (in the original version he was around 1.770 and until Bop's saga he was always below Tien and I doubt that Goku trained him)
— Yamcha: 2.450 (much stronger compared to Raditz and in these years and compared to his original 1.480)
— Jaozi: 1.700 (slightly less stronger than Krillin on original version but training with Tien has paid his fruits)

You’re low balling Gohan way too much. Tien isn’t even in his ballpark, he admitted earlier that if Chiatzou hadn’t saved him from Gohan’s attack he would’ve died. Being trained under an experienced instructor like Nappa, including a ten year time skip, I’m surprised Gohan hasn’t surpassed Vegeta at this point. Either way, I think Gohan, especially when enraged, will be able to match Vegeta.

But there are two facts that cannot put him above 10.000:

— Was this Gohan able to surpass his original counterpart unlocked by the Namekkian Guru? Think no.
— In any case Gohan was satisfied to battle against him, which means that in terms of power Tien for sure reached 3.000 which was not so bad. Clearly Gohan with an enraged status is much higher but not constantly.

Weird, why Nappa bounded with Gohan but not Raditz who also grows up under his watch?

Wonder where this is going to put Nappa, his loyalty is 100% split here. I wonder if he'll have a Piccolo moment if Vegeta decides to kill Nasu.

Mafuba not working with too big of a power gap seems fine to me. The only real issue with the story I have is how weak the humans are compared to their Cell Saga selves. If the Saiyans were shown to have gotten some buffs from, say, wrangling Gohan and HIS crazy potential into being an obedient soldier as well as dealing with Freeza I don't think I'd have much if any issue. 10 years is just too big of a gap, realistically, for this story to work at all. Also this Gohan would be older than his Cell Saga self even with the Time Chamber training.

Honestly I'd love an actual excuse for them all, Saiyans included, to still be this weak. Goten-kun clearly has the chops for it. Maybe the Saiyans have been secretly getting zenkais under Freeza's nose, maybe they've also been scouting out how strong Freeza might actually be and what to do about his dad so they've been keeping their true power secret and are having to bring it out against the humans. Hell, you could even excuse Tien getting no diffed by Gohan by saying the gap between Kikoho and Shin Kikoho is just THAT huge in this canon.

Of course I don't expect Goten-kun to alter or add anything. The story's fine as is. I just have the one personal hang up and it's ultimately not that important. Though comment sections ARE for yapping so why not yap?

The only actual issue here with the Mafuba is Chiaotzu forgot to throw down a sealing container. Mafuba's pointless without one!

Far above Raditz, yes. Nappa? Maybe, maybe not. Most of them could have matched or beaten Raditz by the time Nappa and Vegeta arrived on Earth in canon, and Nappa still almost soloed the whole team. I say almost because he'd have been dumb enough to try to catch Krillin's kienzan had Vegeta not given him a heads up. Besides that little verbal assist, he demolished a team of five, at least three of which were equal to or stronger than Raditz.

I feel like a lot of people underestimate Nappa's power because they still go off of that old 4,000 rating for him. That's not even possible to be correct. He was batting Piccolo (3,500) around like it was nothing and gave Goku (8,000+) a challenge before he used Kaioken. Nappa was more like 6,000 or 7,000.

If all four of them are stronger than Nappa, they can probably take Vegeta together.
