Whoever the guy is, he is impostor!

I spit on this writing and whoever is pretending to be Salagir now. Perhaps if most of fanbase here leaves, they will notice.
Or not. Ashanark left and no one gave a fuck.

implying salagir was ever good
the only "good" parts of this whole thing were a bogstandard tournament parts which is really hard to fuck up and salagir still did it

Why don't you understand that this is a free fan-made webcomic. You fucks think wether its an offical or fanmade it needs to be this perfect work of art. Thats why you guys nitpick every detail to make it perfect in your eyes. You may think there are flaws according to you, but not necessarily to others including myself. Its mindblowing how far you and others have your heads up your ass.
If your constantly shitting on something and expecting the writer to fix it, Thats not how it works. The writer calls the shots, not us. He determines everything whether you like it our not.
If You don't like something don't read/watch it. Its as simple as that. Having discussion/arguing/giving criticism is welcome and of course not liking something is completely fine. But dont constantly shit on something, unless you want to. If you like it and your constantly nitpicking everything, something is wrong with you.

J.I.L was saying: Hmph, finally:

The author has met our demands and has continued along with the story.

Lmfao, no, the authors just kept doing their thing while we, myself included, whined. DBM has never cared what the fans said, for better or worse.

I'm glad people are realizing where they stand. Salagir and other authors don't give a rats fucking ass about our complains or praises. They will do what they want. They will write the story how ever they want whether we like it or not.
So, Salagir write whatever you want, I will read anything you write. Cause' I'm not a complaining asshole. 1 Replie(s)

WizRad was saying:
People complaining about the pacing have astoundingly unrealistic expectations of this free webcomic. I know of no single anime, manga, live action series, or anything that doesn't pad the run time or make use of downtime with little action or plot as a form of pace control. Movies can get away with it because they're short and they already have to make cuts to get the movie down to an hour and half, but anything with more than one part is going to have some padding. That's actually part of pacing.

In literature, there are defined parts to the pacing of story telling. In something as long as a series, you may have multiple "climax" moments, but something integral to any climax is the slow "rising action" section before the climax followed by the more rapid "falling action" that leads into the resolution. Google "plot mountain" or the keywords "rising/falling action" and you'll see tons of illustrating diagrams. The falling action and resolution are not supposed to be big flashy scenes, they're a sort of palate cleanser for whatever comes next. This chapter will likely end with some ominous foreshadowing that will feel completely set apart from what we're seeing now, and the impact will be more substantial because these lulls in the substance of the story provide juxtaposition to make those moments stand out.

If the chapter ended on page 1831, and we replaced that page with a rapid wrap up text wall of how Buu solved all of their problems, before ending with a single panel of Vegito glaring at Bra, it would feel rushed and unresolved. By showing us scenes of certain specific individuals alive and well and intact and in their specific bodies, they've managed to answer a handful of questions (while leaving a handful more to be wondered about), such as whether or not Ginyu was in the Kai's body and whether or not Kakarotto was in one piece, without using much dialogue. Before those pages were released, I saw a number of comments specifically asking about those individuals, so I'm left to wonder if those panels weren't a response to that, or if they were planned all along, but I'd rather see the panels that having a text wall with "....and Buu even restored Kakarotto's body, while putting Ginyu and the grand supreme kai back into their own bodies" without visual representation. And if they just didn't address it, people would have been left wondering until they eventually DID address it. Unless they had a reason to hide that information, there would be no payoff to not revealing that right now. Even pages that have one panel of a large flash serve a purpose in pacing. If every page was part of the climax, it would exhaust the reader. Pages like this are a good resting point, and frankly a decent detox from the previous sections where the comments section became unbearably toxic at times. The comments on the last couple of pages have been far tamer by comparison. We, as readers, need these pages.

Sure, it's disappointing to wait a few days only to find a page with little to no text or plot, but that doesn't mean we're suffering from bad pacing. People are just being impatient. Further evidence of impatience can be found in everyone that has given their final verdict about how awful the ending of this chapter is when the chapter isn't actually over. Assuming the pacing of other chapters is relatively consistent, this chapter could be anywhere from one to ten more pages. It's one thing to be critical, but it really feels like, in the absence of Bra, people are grasping for things to complain about. Calm down, be patient, and keep your hands and feet inside the ride until it comes to a complete stop. Enjoy the quiet moments. The calm before the storm (though since we just came down off of a large climax, we're likely in for some more exposition followed by smaller climaxes before we kick off another major arc, so that storm is well off at this point).

Exactly. More People need to read what you said

1. Some people don't understand that this is a free fan-made webcomic. They think wether its an offical or fanmade it needs to be this perfect work of art. Thats why they nitpick every detail to make it perfect in their eyes. They may think there are flaws according to them, but not necessarily to others including myself. Its mindblowing how far they have their heads up their ass. The pacing is perfecty fine for the story.

Plot Mountain:

Beginning- The tournament fights
Rising Action: Babadi using magic to control evil characters.
Climax: The big fight where mostly everone dies.
Falling Action: (Where we are now) The fighters that were sent far away comeback and zen buu healing everyone and fixing everthing
Resolution: TBD, When the chapter ends we will see. Thats why you need to have patience. You can't say the pacing or story is bad based off of one page. WAIT until
the chapter is finished. Then debate and critize what ever you want. Its not hard people.

Its perfectly acceptable to debate, critize, and more importantly not like something. The difference is if your constantly shitting on something and expecting the writer to fix it, Thats not how it works. The writer calls the shots, not us.
Also if your upset at why everyone "forgave" bra. Why don't you go ask the characters, oh wait
THEY"RE NOT REAL.

Im glad a lot of people can still appreciate the storytelling aspect of this. It seems a lot of people forgot that Dragonball was initially a story of adventure, with fighting not being the absolute main focus.

And honestly I'd be very disappointed if we got a "and then everyone was revived and went to sleep" panel. I want to see the reactions of good guys and bad guys alike. Same for the Vargas and the Kaioshins. A lot of them experienced gruesome deaths and pain at the hand of people they didn't expect. The Kai's NEVER expected "beings from the lower realms" to absolutely shred them, the frost demons never really predicted a simple namekian and one saiyan could atomise them etc.

My question is though... Kakarot was revealed to be an actualy immortal, living even when decapitated. So.. shouldnt he have experienced everything that happened? Or was he knocked out by the fighting around him?

Yes I agree with you. I really feel like the comment section is more relaxed after many disgruntled fans left.

Why dont you jump in the manga and ask videl herself. Oh wait they're not real.

saiyanamerican was saying: Gee mister what a novel perspective.<end of sarcasm> let's get real: there are things called HABITS that we human beings develop in our lifetimes. some people READ THIS MANGA just the same as you, and are entitled to remark on it JUST THE SAME AS YOU. i CANNOT STAND ANONYMOUS APOLOGISTS who come to one fringe of the internet and act like ascended human beings attempting to ward off well-earned criticism, as if they have NEVER flamed ANYTHING in their whole LIVES. you're not sophisticated, you're an annoying ass. if you think people are going to read this, genuinely hate it, and bite their tongues for your sake, you're an idiot.
Ignoring all of the baseless insults, are you arguing that reading a webcomic is such an uncontrollable habit that you'd continue to return to no matter how much you dislike it, and that you need to share that negativity in the comments because everyone needs to know how much you hate it? As I said before, if I don't like something, I let it go. I've dropped numerous shows, web series, web comics, etc, all because they weren't enjoyable to me. Thing is, somebody clearly enjoys them, otherwise they wouldn't still be around. When I dropped them, that was it. I didn't go back months later expecting a sudden metamorphosis, and I certainly didn't trash talk them in their comments section. Coming back every page to complain is just sad and desperate for attention. If you don't find joy in an optional activity, just stop doing that activity. You won't be missed, and you won't be judged. It's okay not to like something. It's not okay to constantly spread your dislike of something to the community that supports it. When I was younger, I watched One Piece for a while, I vaguely recall dropping it sometime around an arc where they somehow flew up into the clouds and were sky pirates. It just wasn't doing anything for me at that point. Other people still like the show, and that's fine. Alternatively, I have watched everything related to the Naruto series, and I fully understand why people don't like that series, but I don't care, I DO get something out of that show. I happen to like Dragon Ball, though I missed a lot of the original, Z was good, Super wasn't bad, and I even found GT worthwhile at the time. DBM is every bit as good as those were. If you don't like it, that's perfectly fine. But why are you here? Is it really the best use of your time to trash something you don't like? Why not spend that time looking for something you DO like? And if you're just a glutton for self-punishment, read the thing you don't like, but then keep it to yourself. The only reason to continuously come back to a webcomic that is nearly 2000 pages deep, and trash it in the comments, is that you like to trash it. If you liked it, then you wouldn't get that enjoyment out of trashing it. If you ask me, that's weird. I even understand the people trying to be respectful while offering criticism. It's not perfect, and criticism is open to debate. The comments section is a great place for such debates as long as it's respectful and productive. But there's a difference between the people coming here to debate the nature of retcons and people being in or out of character versus the people who come here to say things like "This comic is trash. Every page is trash. This character is trash. The writer is trash. I don't know why I waste my time with this garbage." Easy solution, don't. Don't waste your time with it. If it's not for you, then it's never going to be for you. This webcomic has been going for years, and is again nearly 2000 pages in, with plenty of story to flush out if they choose to, they aren't going to change the way they do things at this point just because a few negative folks want to call it all trash. That said, it wouldn't surprise me to see the day where Salagir gets tired of seeing all the negativity in the comments, all the trash talking of something he's spent so many years on, and he decides to let it all go, ending the comic mid-chapter. To me, THAT would be a tragedy, but I couldn't blame him after some of the things I've seen in these comments. I'm not trying to be a gate keeper, part of the comments sections rules is that we don't tell people "if you don't like it, don't read it," and that's not what I'm trying to do here. I'm just trying to offer actual advice to someone that really doesn't seem to want to be here. There are plenty of people that are happy to keep reading. I'll keep reading this as long as they're putting it out. If at some point Salagir decides to take it in some incredibly different direction, and suddenly I start to hate the comic, I doubt I'll even say anything in the comments, I'll just stop coming back. Might feel weird that first week, but after a second week I'd probably forget to even think about checking it, and then by third week it'd be out of sight, out of mind. Just let it go, for your own happiness. Don't bring that negativity down here, we don't need it, we already have plenty.

This is ridicolous, they could have jumbeled this into narration for a single page and save us the wasted pages. This is a manga, not an anime. MANGAs should not compose themselves as animes. As one of the commenters have said, this is filler. Stop waisting our time and GET TO THE STORY.
Sheesh. And on re-read/first-time readers it will be EXACTLY what it looks like - FILLER. It's ironic, the people who are defending this are the same people who probably like Kai better then Z due to PACING.

Show, don't tell.
All the people complaining about the pacing don't understand that it is important for the finished product. It might feel slow now, but it'll be better for future readers, and on a reread.
You can't judge the pacing of a story by reading it as each page is released, you have to do it once the chapter is finished.
Be patient people.

I second this bit of common sense.

I third this common sense as well.
