Now that the gravity rule has been mentioned, is there any in-universe explanation as to why this was implemented in the tournament in the first place? Don’t get me wrong it made fights like old man Krillin vs Tapion pretty interesting. Keep in mind I haven’t read the novels so if those explained it at all that’s a my bad. My original theory was so that it would slow down the fighters so that the audience can better watch the action. But then they increased the gravity later on, changed the ring layout, and now they just turned it off. Anybody got an answer? 1 Replie(s)

Damon Bradok was saying:

I've thought about the same thing, I think KibitoKai in DBS would be the comparison here. When they split back up after a few years of being fused, it didn't affect them mentally.

I'll also assume KibitoKai didn't gain much power after the fusion, so can't really say whether or not Vegitos power increase would increase Goku and Vegetas, but I'd assume it would at least raise their potential.

I believe that when Vegito was born, he still had 2 souls, and that they eventually merged into 1. The dragonballs would simply just reverse this process, and they'd retain the memories Vegito made in that time frame.

As for your observation that Vegeta was dead. I believe that's why Vegito has to constantly eat senzu beans to stay alive, his appetite I believe was said to be ever-growing. Bra doesn't experience this extreme hunger despite arguably being more powerful than Vegito was vs Super Buu. That means the extreme appetite is not linked to his power, but most likely to the fact that the underworld's magic or death magic keeps trying to pull Vegeta back down/kill him.

Then again some people think it's because the Saiyan hunger was multiplied along with his power, only time will tell.

And welcome to the family!

Thank you! Glad to be apart of it!

While Kibitokai is literally the only type of fusion we can compare to U16 Vegito, there’s two things. As we all know DBS fusion is very different then DBM fusion. I definitely prefer DBM’a type of fusion as there is a consequence; in exchange for great power, you basically won’t be “you” anymore, making the potaras effective “absolute last resort” tools that shouldn’t be used lightly. As we’ve seen of Vegito-while not a villain by any means (at least not yet)-there is definitely something “off” about him. Back to the topic, the second thing I’d like to adress is the fact that Kibitokai is, well, a full blooded Kai. Kais are very different than mortals, while mortals have a possibility of becoming stronger than them, Kais are just overall op in other areas. They live for a very long time (forever? I can’t remember), they are the dragon worlds gods and are the reason why mortals exist in the first place, they are the creators of Ki, masters of magic in their own right, and have a knowledge of basically everything. Being the creators of the potara, they’ve probably fine tuned them for their specific bodies, mind and spirit. Never in their wildest dream would they ever think of creating the potara with the intent for mortals using them. But as we all know, life finds a way. The Kais, despite being the highest Gods and are the creators of life, do not have complete reign over all of creation. Once life is created, it is its own master. We’ve have been shown time and time again that the Kais can be overthrown by mortals e.g Majin Buu and The Saiyan’s limitless potential (and potentially XXI?) But I’m getting off topic, the point is that the potaras are not met for mortals. So there is perhaps an adverse affect for Vegito we don’t know about due to him being a mortal?

Regarding the “Half dead debacle”, I think the fusion just basically canceled it out. So that would mean Vegito is indeed alive. Although @Bird Mountain’s proposal is that if he is “half dead”, he must be in an otherworld environment to reinvigorate himself, is an interesting weakness for Vegito to have.

However my question is if U16 Vegito defused, would Vegeta instantly disappear due to time limit constraints? What about if he’s in a different universe? God damn Dragon Ball magic you crazy!

Hi all! I created this account just to ask this wonderful fandom a question that’s been burning in my mind for awhile now. Probably won’t make any other comments (since I rarely post comments on any social media, but who knows, I might change my mind if this comment gets any feedback at all). I’m pretty much up to date with the story as any other fan is (although not the novels) and a thought struck my head concerning Vegitos fusion. As you know in U16, currently it has been a good chunk of years after the birth of Vegito. At this point he’s developed into his own individual, rather than just simply being a combination of Goku and Vegeta. My question is what would happen, be it hypothetical magic or just plain ol dragon balls (as I’ve said before I don’t read the novels, so I don’t know if the Z-gang have tried using them) if U16’s current Vegito was separated back into Goku and Vegeta. Would things be normal like U18 (except in that universe Vegito didn’t “live” long enough to develop into a individual)? Would it cause some sort of Psychological trauma for Goku and Vegeta? Would they just die of brain damage as the act of splitting after such a long time being one person be cause too much of a mindblow for them? Like I’ve said before I have zero knowledge of the novelization of U16 so I do not know if any of this has been addressed. However I would really like someone else’s theory on this and perhaps start a discussion on the finer details of fusion. Thank you if you’ve bothered reading this!

Note: I’ve just realized that Vegeta was dead (had a halo) right before Vegitos birth (technically half dead man)! Perhaps an unimportant detail, then again makes you further think on what would really happen if they ever defuse after so many years. Oh the Otherworld shenanigans! 2 Replie(s)
