I never thought I would actually see the day... So hyped to see what this final looks like! Let's go!

I'm confused... Will the lie revealed a few pages ago get addressed or not? Seems like they're skipping over it.

Uhh, Page 694? This explanation was before Dragon Ball Super was a thing (though I think it might have been around the time the movie Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods came out).

That's just DBM's version of what happened. They felt the need to add that, because the official manga left that as a very ambiguous matter.
In reality, no official explanation for Vegito's defusion was ever given until DBS introduced the time limit. Only Goku ever speculated about it (the bad air thing), without it being framed as the real reason.
People above me seemed to just be taking the "bad air" argument at face value, not knowing the official reason for the Potara fusion not being permanent. 1 Respuesta(s)
I have no idea whether people are choosing to ignore DB Super, or if this community just didn't see the show... But the reason for the Potara fusion of Vegito not being permanent is explained: fusions with two non-Kai beings have a one hour time limit.
This is an "ad hoc" explanation that came many years later, but it's consistent with what we see, and much more satisfying than "bad airs" inside Buu, which if I recall correctly was hypothesized by Goku, who wouldn't know the Potaras that well.
Of course, that's not how it works within DBM, which started long before Super, but this solution to defuse two characters who weren't going to stick around is unsatisfying, to say the least. 2 Respuesta(s)
