'Passive' may not be the best phrasing, but in this instance it works well as it describes Bra's character surprisingly well. Especially with the first panel leading her to make the realization that the power she gained was not worth the cost. Plus the words she then uses to describe herself- 'slave' and 'weak' are similar in meaning, which causes her to have the breakdown.
Many of us over on the Forum accurately predicted that this would be the 'final' battle chapter of this little revolt, and the next chapter will be dealing with the consequences/fallout/rescue of the other competitors. But like many of you i will be waiting for the end of the specials to see how Zen Buu injects himself into this....
If you want some better discussion then is generally shown on the main page, i recommend you join us on the Forum since there's many other interesting topics to sink your teeth into while the specials are continuing.

Note to anyone saying: "There's no way this should be working"
U18 Bra knows exactly how to get to her, because at the core of this is that they are both 16 year old girls with all the insecurities that come with it. Everyone else tried to reason with Majin Bra, remind her that she's actually good and to just snap out of it. that was never going to work since she's obviously got some trauma and this majinisation is her acting out- like a normal teenager who runs away from home or starts getting in with the wrong crowd.
U18 Bra is calling her out for being a complete nutter who murdered her own brother, and her mentors for no other reason that she wanted to be independent and strong........ The very fact that good Bra is no threat to her, power-wise, made her words even more effective.
Honestly, aside from the phrasing, this may be one of the best pages DBM has produced. Ever

So U18 Bra managed to trigger all the bad she's gone through, thus bringing her down to reality. Now i'm actually fairly excited for the double special so we can see all the things she's dealt with to lead to this. Although based on what we've seen in comic i never thought Bra had that many issues.
However, we still have 3 pages left for things to play out. But this shows how effective talking can be, when it's done from a similar perspective- i.e 2 16 year old girls who are fundamentallty similar Vs Gods, Super Fused Dads and older brothers telling her to calm down

GREAT PAGE!
U18 Bra basically throwing her evil counterparts hypocrisy in her face, and doing it from a 'peers' perspective, as opposed to her being lectured by someone in authority is why this is actually having an effect. I mean it's at the point now where even if Majin Bra killed her (which she could easily do) it would still mean she lost, because while she's used to always winning battles, she's not used to losing arguments.
Now i don't think these last couple of pages will reform her, not at all- what i think is happening is U18 Bra has legitimately gotten under her skin and caused her to have a moment of doubt/weakness, which in turn has allowed all those other statements to hit her at once, compounding the mental effect.
Something else will happen, because i highly Doubt Bra will lose this way. But this sets up her eventual fall really nicely

The reason this is so effective (for now) is that this is coming from her own alternate self... Who is literally no threat to her at all. She not trying to attack (Because it would be worse then useless) but she's laying down the truth that for all Majin Bra's increased power and control she's still just a puppet. Everyone else who tried to reason with her sought to calm her, to remind her of her 'goodness'. But U18 bra is basically shit-smacking her with all her examples of hypocrisy, AND she's so pumped full of emotion from watching her brother die, that it's getting through on level that literally no one else in any universe can use. Plus she's pointing out, in a way only a enraged 16 year old girl can, how pathetic her alternate self and that she owes all this newfound power and control.... to being controlled by perhaps the most evil DB character.
Basically- the kindness of her friends and guardians didn't work, but this so called 'worthless' version of her is turning the tables and is showing how shes actually the worthless one. Thats why its so effective.

This is setting up the epic, verbal beatdown U18 bra is going to give to her evil counterpart. Whether Majin Bra then kills her is open to question, but it looks like shes about to have all those hidden doubts and regrets brought to life by her weak alter-ego, which will hurt her far more then anything else has so far.
Also, U18 BRa won't go SS, and even if she did it wouldn't attract our heroes back. If anything, that would cause Majin Bra to kill her.

Bra may indeed turn Super Saiyan here, but i think it will have a similar effect to Majin Bra as when Pan turned SS against U13 Kakarot. The sheer unexpected-ness of it combined with her talking some rock solid-sense may actually calm her down, or at least cause her to doubt her newfound 'independence'
But more likely- where every other attempt to talk Bra down has failed, U18 Bra basically cutting loose with every insult and example of Majin Bras hypocrisy and how her new power control has come at the price of her very soul may very well be the metaphorical punch to the gut she needs 1 Respuesta(s)

Now i know this is probably alot to ask Gentlemen, but can we not have an entire comment section devolve to child porn talk?
I get that Bra (being 16) is not considered an adult in many countries, and even in the ones where she is- there's a big difference between legality and morality..... And boy, are most of you painfully unaware of that fact.
Yeah i get it- it's a sinisterly sexy picture (and kudos to Asura for doing this so well) but as a Teacher who has students that are chronologically 14, 15 and 16 yet look 21 (or older) can we not go on about consent and 'harmless' sexualisations of what are children?
Moving past such unpleasantness, this was a good laugh as having Asura draw the first 3 panels was what made it so convincing. I highly doubt however, that the REAL next page will have anything like this happen 1 Respuesta(s)

Do my eyes deceive me? Are we getting yet another example of something on he cover happening in the actual comic? This almost makes up for a lack of shirtless Dabura.........Almost.
I wonder if Gohan just told Buu to turn her into candy and now he's panicking due to losing like 80% of his body in one shot?
Finally- Bra should be able to just flare her aura to get rid of him like Gohan did earlier, but the difference is Buu's already made contact with her skin so this could slow her down.

On a more serious note- if she has indeed lost her leg thats going to impair her fighting prowess, especially with no more senzus her help her recover missing body parts.

You know, without this eye-popping art i don't think it would be possible to notice such intricate details like what (to me) appears to be a 'shooting' light on the wrist portion of the armor and what then could be carbonite hitting Bra's boot. I assume this strategy won't work, but it will almost certainly distract her lng enough for Gohan and Buu to come up with their plan and attempt to execute it.
Actually if While she was trying to kick off the boot Buu tried to absorb her she's be in a pickle, since merely flaring her aura (Like Gohan did against Buu absorption) wouldn't get rid of the carbonite.
Right now is the time to actually do some proper teamwork, or they're screwed.

Actually this is fairly inaccurate- Hirudegarn was nerfed considerably in DBM (Only in the SS1 tier, but with some cool abilities) so Cell beating him does not make him strong. As for Gohan Salagir has made his own interpretation of Mystics power, like he's done with a few other characters (Broly, the Frostie trio, the Androids etc..) 1 Respuesta(s)

Finally some more development. I'm glad the rest of them actually did what i suggested and made a plan while Bra was slaughtering the rest of them. Plus the bonus of an armorless Phipsil actually appearing and contributing to the story makes this a great page. I doubt her talking will do much but it's better then completely throwing away her life for nothing, and gives Gohan a bit of hope that whatever he's concocting with Buu might be pulled off.

Ok, i feel like at this point we're being led down a path where Bra is supreme, cannot be beaten now that she's serious and we should all just give up hope right now.
The fact that she was able to locate and destroy Cell's nucleus, uninterrupted, and knew it would survive seems beyond plausible for me. Unless this is Salagirs plan that Bra will inevitably win, goes back to retrieve Babidi and get's Buu'd who reveals that heshe only 'won' because he let it continue.
Actually that would be a pretty good way to reduce her big win to nothing more then another Buu game.

Honestly there's a simple explanation for this multiplier madness:
Take it literally: Someone who is an Oozaru is 10x STRONGER, not that they get a 10x power level boost. Similar to Trunks Ultra Super Saiyan- all his increased power is physical strength. That would make sense as with all that increased mass and size he could hit with the physical power of someone 10x stronger, but his actual PL only increases 2-4x max (depending on what side of the debate you take) 1 Respuesta(s)

Cell may have recovered enough to do his own I.T. and intercept this attack. The fact that he has already figured out to attack where Bra's energy appears means he could intercept this. With Bra's cockiness and restored energy she may be open to Cell reading where she's teleporting to. Which would enable him to land a hit AND protect Gohan.
But the most likely option- Gohan takes a critical wound next panel.

Relax, she hasn't eaten them yet, so there's a chance a Regenerated Cell (Possible) could shoot them out of her hand. Or more likely- she does eat them, undoes all the work our heroes have done to wear her down, and now goes fully on the offensive because she's sick of dicking around.
Don't forget that for all Gohans 'Full' power that he hit her with, she's likely more then twice his strength so while that kamehameha would have hurt... It was extremely unlikely to knock her out of this fight for good. Even if she doesn't get to eat these Beans, she's still Very dangerous

Incorrect- earlier in DBM it is stated that Vegito never had to go beyond SS1 when she transformed, meaning he was alot stronger then her. Even with this majin boost it's highly unlikely she could even match Vegito, let alone exceed him. Plus considering this was Gohans full power AND thanks to Heliote girl she took it full on, she's going to take some damage.
My God though, the art literally only gets better.

Ok i'm going to throw a different theory out here- Gohan DOESN'T have a plan at all, he's just raging and trying to hurt Bra/Knock her back with the biggest damn Kamehameha he can launch.
What i think may happen is that one of the other members of this fight use this opportunity for a snipe/sneak attack. Buu might finally get involved, the cowering Girl Heliote behind him might make a move, U18 Gohan might try something....Cell may regenerate as well but i fell like he's down for a couple more panels due to the brutality of that hit he took.

For what it's worth- i always assumed they were slower then the Speed of light until the end of the Namek saga. I.e when Freiza went 100% of his power and Goku went Super Saiyan. King-Kai mentions that he can no longer sense their individual moves, so i took that as a statement that their power (and therefore their speed) had increased so much that FTL was now possible 1 Respuesta(s)

Damn, kinda thought Cell would have done more damage then that. Although i suppose a 'Full Power' punch by Gohan only gives her a bloody eye i suppose a back elbow thrown in reflex wouldn't do that much.
Breaking Gohans back in one shot though..... Even with their adaptive team work they're in trouble. Only Cell and Fat buu could take that kind of punishment due to their unique biology/magic.
Cell does prove the difference between just having a buttload of power and battle instincts. He'll probably be the hardest for Bra to beat

Bra popped his back like a cheap rubber band. Thats basically a OHKO to someone as strong as Gohan.
Not looking good for the heroes, unless Cell can do something, but i doubt it as it's highly unlikely he's any stronger then Gohan is

Considering our Heroes have 'only' been trapped for less then 10 minutes, i think the 10 minutes Bra's giving for Babidi will be a good 2 chapters worth of fighting/dialogue. Looks like improvisation is the order of the day for our hero team, but i predict now that at least one of them will die before this is done

This may be the funniest DBM page of the new Decade. Their lack of having to plan is primarily because they're individually so strong (Far more compared to the Heliotes) that plans generally aren't necessary. They always have an Ace in the hole arrive in the nick of time, or a new transformation is discovered, or 2 people fuse etc..

She could spam I.M easily here, which would help her take out the most lethal opponents (the Heliotes, Cell) before they could break the shield and kill babidi. Also there's the simple fact that this shield could very well be strong enough to resist their laser cutter for longer.

This would have been a fantastic page, even though i'm sure she would have just blocked Piccolo's attack with that energy sheild thing she does, much as Android 17 did it to him all the way back in the androids saga.

There has to be something else to this 'attack' as even if Vegeta was a SS when launching this Cold would be able to deflect it fairly easy i would have thought. In base? This has literally no chance of working. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Cold let it destroy Earth and he came out as the only survivor.

Just realised after re-reading these pages- Cell actually throws them towards their Universe space at the end of this conversation.
As for the dialogue- Cell has them completely at his mercy, then he establishes a mind link and wants to communicate. If i was in Phipsils situation i'd talk too, knowing Cell could kill me at any time.

Ok, this was legitimately unexpected. Perhaps Cell Recharged them, instead of draining them? Thats the only thing that makes sense considering they shouldn't have enough energy left to cut through the shield.

The Bra fanboys can kick and scream all they like. She is most definitely a Mary Sue.
At least Goku and Vegeta are beaten every now and then by a variety of enemies. Bra is unbeatable by everyone except Vegito.
The plot is absolute garbage. Asura's talents are wasted honestly. I hope Salagir is paying him for this crap because I cannot imagine any sane man drawing such a boring character and a puerile storyline for free.
I must be crazy then, because I fully agree with the way this arc ends. Much more than an boring/classic "bra16 kills bra18, Gohan has a new transfo and kill Bra" or that kind of stuff.....
