Why is everyone focusing on Gohan "breaking the rules of the competition" when he isn't actually a participant? 1 Resposta/es

Why are people equating Gohan knocking out Nappa with a light tap to the head when his wife looked scared, to Vegetto outright trying to murder his daughter?

I get that people hate Bra, however the situation is very different.

Gohan was acting to make his wife feel safe and used minimal force, while Vegetto is acting out of pure rage and was using excessive force.

The thing to remember is that everyone else in the arena sees a young girl who is filled with remorse, while her father tries to kill her.

Is Vegetto justified? It doesn't matter. Because what matters is that the other people there see something different to what he does. Vegetto told her that he would kill her if she caused such devastation again and he's clearly blinded by his anger that his lesson didn't sink in and she reverted back to her berserk, cruel nature.

On a personal note, I don't know if Vegetto is justified in the course of action he wants to take. Yes, Bra is dangerous and there's no telling what'll happen if she ever reaches level 3. But at the same time, after the recent events, it's possible that she won't even try to reach that stage.

In the end, emotions are running too high at the moment for anyone to make a proper decision, so letting the immediate emotions die down first and then deciding as a group what will happen seems like the most rational course of action to me.

So for now, I'm not jumping to conclusions and instead am going to wait for everything to actually be over before making my judgement.

From what I read, it was pretty clear that this isn't the first time this has happened and that Bra is actually getting worse with time.

So given that something like this has happened before and we know that at least Gohan is a responsible adult, who's to say that they haven't already tried those methods?

It's pretty clear from her facial expressions that she only cares about being strong and that the welfare of others doesn't register to her. Just look at when she became a Majin, what was it that caused her to fight it? Being made to feel weak. Not murdering everyone who cared about her. Not reason or appealing to her sentimentality or kindness... being called out for being too weak to resist the influence.

Now just to be clear, I was never one of those people who hated her. To me at least, I have always taken Gohan to be the most human character in the series (hell, I'm someone who felt that the way Dragon Ball Super handled his character felt natural for him), so the fact that he had issues with Bra told me that she was never meant to be a good person who everyone should be rooting for. It's one of the reasons I've always felt that Goku and Vegeta from u18 were the heroes of the story. Both Bra and Vegetto felt like they had lost what made them proper DBZ heroes.

But regardless... I've gotten off topic.

In the end, I don't think Vegetto was jumping to the ultimatum. I think there has probably been enough history we haven't seen that has caused him to reach this point and that this was just the straw that broke the camels back.
