That would explain the alignment shift, not the loss in intelligence.
It doesn't need to, because there wasn't one. As I said, Kid Buu was a playful idiot. He could understand most of what was said to him, but couldn't speak (outside of the one broken sentence in the anime), and acted like a wild animal. If anything, Fat Buu was actually smarter, being able to speak and basic problem-solving that was rational rather than instinctual. If you recall, Super Buu was terrified of losing what little intelligence he had when Vegeta threatened to tear Fat Buu free.

It's unnecessary and excessive. Kid Buu was a playful idiot, just mean to the core. Dai Kaio was exceedingly kind. It was fine to say Fat Buu picked up that trait and was pushed towards neutral. I'm guessing it has to do with the vaguely-adhered-to rule that dragon balls can't grant wishes that exceed the creator's power or ability (because Kami really has that whole granting-immortality thing, and restoring entire planets and populations going for him, right?), meaning only the U1 Dragon Balls can grant the ability to travel between universes.

According to DBM, he can have an entire round of fighting in the blink of an eye, yet he still decides to stand there and be chatty at audience speed when he knows he's dealing with a trickster.

I don't agree with it though. Goku and Vegeta are good parents. Vegeta just needed time to adjust into the fact that he was happy, while Goku just isn't good with expressing his feelings outside of being through fighting. Goku absolutely fights for others, and Vegeta learned to do that, too. Both of these are re-solidified in the DBS anime, even.
None of that had to do with the point. Vegeta didn't learn good parenting until long after becoming a super saiyan, and I wasn't making any commentary on whether a pureblood could learn new tricks. As for Goku, he was always quite selfish to a fault, like any other saiyan; he just expressed it in a mostly inoffensive way because his desires were good-natured. Being selfish doesn't specifically mean taking from someone else, it just means thinking of your own wants over anyone else's. It was on full display when Goku sent Gohan to fight Cell, completely ignoring a decade of writing on the wall that his son hated fighting, because it was something Goku loved. Wanting to protect his friends and family isn't generosity, it's safeguarding what he loves by doing what he loves. In any real instance where he's faced with getting what he wants or letting someone else have it—be it the first punch or a sushi roll on someone else's plate—Goku always takes it, and complains if he meets resistance.
Art's really on point.
My reasoning was always that human-saiyan hybrids are more empathetic—they CARE about more than themselves. It's the human component; saiyan nature is far more selfish. But mixed with a saiyan's contempt for loss, it's a volatile combination. With the "pain of loss" being a critical component of becoming a super saiyan, that's why the transformation was so extraordinary among purebloods: it was rare for them to have a situation where something they deeply cared about was lost. The only thing they would ever feel was taken from them was a victory in a fight, and typically by the time that set in, they'd be on the brink of death. Even Goku was resistant; despite his good nature, he had trouble looking beyond his personal desires, and his optimism smothered any fears of failure.
Meanwhile, the hybrids remain keenly aware of family, friends, responsibility, and dedication to ideals. Being more in tune with their emotions from their human side, they have far more opportunity to experience an emotional break. If they feel they can take control of the situation, you just get a power spike; but if they feel helpless in the face of something they cherish being irrevocably taken away—be it a friend's life or a core ideal—the tide rises with no outlet until the dam breaks, and you get a super saiyan. 1 Resposta/es

I hate how this is presented as though canonically factual to the series. At no point is the Mafbua "obsolete" because of the target's power - only ever because of the user's lack of energy or life force, and never have we seen someone negate the Mafuba - only ever reflected back or redirected to another target so long as the move is anticipated by the target. Piccolo is seen reflecting it - presumably due to knowledge of the move and his link to Kami, and Frost (if you want to include DBS into the discussion) redirecting it after having witnessed the move a couple of times.
The Mafuba only ever fails because the move is anticipated or seen before, the user doesn't have the strength to use it on their target, there is no container or the container is broken, or because the technique was a success but no seal was used on the container (or the seal is removed).
In this instance, I think Nappa SHOULD have been hit by the Mafuba (trying to stop it with his mouth beam, ultimately failing and confusing himself ontop of his new fear of the Mafuba), but Chaozu should have failed in hitting his target due to not having enough strength to hold Nappa long enough for sealing. Vegeta sees this, scolds Nappa on his negligent broken state, and kills him ultimately shocking some sense into Gohan.

This makes far more sense (don't forget missing the container, too!). The hand-wave dismissal of the author was far too off-center from audience interpretation to sound so convicted. PLENTY in canon contradicts the idea that power levels have any significant impact.

Between DB and Z, there was five years of Goku training. His power level only went up about 100. Same with Piccolo.
Indeed. Time and time again, DBZ has established that it's the QUALITY of the training that matters, not the time spent or the location. Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, and Trunks all noticed a plateau after a certain amount of time in the HBTC, after which they felt returning for another day inside would be pointless. The Videl that came back was a finger-fussing, small-stepping housewife that lost all of the fire that made her such an awesome character. The idea that she only pursued martial arts because she needed to eventually live up to her father as "the best" takes away any value in her ideals. The idea of Goku giving up at the start is insane. Yeah, sure, I agree with all the perspectives on why he fights, but as far as what conclusion can be drawn from those reasons, immediately forfeiting is way off the mark. Goku fights for two reasons:
— To win fairly.
— To enjoy a good fight.
He may not care about the prize reward, but he's absolutely out to win, regardless of whether or not his opponent is "a nice guy". He's in it to prove to himself that he can rise to any challenge, and discover what surprises his opponent has in store. To that end, he'd never pass up a good fight; since he was a little kid, it's been his greatest joy in life. The only time he'd forfeit is if he believes someone else could present a more meaningful victory than he himself could provide, or if the fight just isn't fun anymore.

Bulma honestly ISN'T a good person. Her degree of selfishness pushes her right up to the edge of being a villain, and her goals have just never directly clashed with the well-being of the world. Capsule Corp brings her inventions to the people, but her motivation is wealth rather than altruism. Time and again, when she's had the opportunity to help herself OR society, she chooses herself, every time. Trunks' dark future has shown that when the chips are down, she can be broken to show a good person inside, but the same could be said for Vegeta's character development.

My presumption was this idea was based on Trunks's comment that the new-timeline, newly awakened Androids were stronger than the two in the future he came from.
In canon, the most likely reason was because after Future Trunks's warning, the Z Fighters continued to train in preparation rather than take it easy, giving the spy bots that were still following them more data to make #17 and #18 stronger than they were otherwise.

Wow, wrong answer, Yamcha. That one was spoon-fed to you. XXI not threatening anyone is called "biding his time", not "wrestling with morality".

Why would he use Katchin? Unless the anime translation was wrong back in the DBZ days, Katchin is hard, but light. Which...makes no sense why it broke the Z Sword, but the Laws of Motion were hardly adhered to when it came to getting to the point.

I'm guessing Kibitoshin.
Kibitoshin is no more. At different points in the anime and manga of Super—but still in both—he used the dragon balls to defuse. 2 Resposta/es

Gotta keep the mixed theme going, Salagir. Full moon should've turned turned Goku into a giant raccoon dog!

I don't remember where I saw it, but there was some idea that the spell to contain Buu worked primarily because the "egg" was composed of Buu's own body turned against him. Always thought that felt appropriate, and explained why it was both the same color and seemingly biotic in origin.

I have the feeling the author was a fan of Buttlord GT and plans to keep it in mind.

Or this could be a very quick road to tipping the scales in Trunks' favor. Goku said it took him extensive training to get a divine super saiyan form to work with Kaioken without utterly wrecking his body instantly. Rosé is spanking-new to Zamasu, so if he doesn't go POP for attempting to combine the two techniques off the cuff, I'm definitely calling hax.
