Everything else you said was true, but that doesn't mean Gast was wrong to stop Vegito. The dude literally went Super Saiyan 3 and could have killed or injured everybody in the area except for Zen Buu with just the impact of his attack alone. If I had some had ability that could prevent that from happening, I would use it. Because I don't want to die.

Didn't that moment happen right after U18 Bra's speech? In this page, Majin Bra was also thinking about how traumatized and weak she was, with U18 Bra having just finished saying that she has to face her trauma herself.

Saying that she "let it happen" could easily be interpreted as her allowing her own weaknesses to get the better of her.

Personally, I do think all of Babidi's minions "consent" to him to a certain extent, but this happens after he coaxed them into it by playing on their dark aspects. Vegeta and Cell are the obvious exceptions though.

Either way, my point about Gast still stands. Stopping Vegito was pretty much necessary the moment he went full power.

Every single character said Cold is stronger. Piccolo stated she was outclassed in strength, speed and durability. But seemed confident of herself.
Goku stated after the fight "her techniques completely countered her lack of power".

Those statements make it clear Cold is stronger.

Yet, somehow, Bra apparently has "previously unseen new techniques" that iqnore power levels. Because something something ki manipulation something something "Gotenks did it first" something something Bra could have won from the start.

So. Cold is stronger, everyone agrees in the story, but Bra still wins because "techniques".

Again, this defeats the purpose of the match.

It doesn't matter what Salagir wants to do with his story. DBM's main appeal is seeing "what if" fights and "who would win".

And Salagir follows this very well... unless Bra is involved.

When Bra is involved, suddenly characters get teleported out of the ring (Eleim), or have 2 hidden forms which amount to nothing anyway because "techniques". And the same will hapen when she fights Ghast.

The plot bends over backwards for Bra. In fact, she's going to win this entire tournament. You watch.

And yes, Bra is not Goku and Vegeta, I can accept that. What I can't accept, is Bra not getting called out on it from characters we KNOW would not do that and LOOK DOWN on those who do.

Goku and Vegeta would both never resort to senzu beans to win a fight after it already started. These are the same guys who played rock paper scizors for a turn against Buu. Vegito is the fusion of both of them. Neither of these 3 gave her shit for using a senzu bean to get out of a dead end. That's not in character. In fact, Goku praised her for her "techniques" ignoring the senzu bean.

Were the characters true to their Z characterization, they would have at least looked down on Bra winning that way. Especially Vegeta, who gave the "Kakarot would rather die fighting than win using one of those disqusting beans" but Vegito and Vegeta both give her a pass.

People are quick to crucify Bra but they tend to forget how Vegetto also has a bad temper and easily loses his mind.
Page 729, totally losing control, beating random people up just to demand attention ("People should listen when I speak!")
Page 733 and page 742, he knows he is like that and prefers to be alone to calm down. He is pretty fine later on page 792.

I guess what is happening now is the biggest disappointment of his life, specially for having been on that side once as Vegeta.

But if true, it could explain how U18 Gogeta and U16 Vegito are close in strength even though U18 Goku and Vegeta are stronger now.

And when she was much younger and doing bad things with her Super Saiyan power, almost blowing up the Earth because she didn't really understand the consequences, what does Vegetto do? Help her socialize with normal people so she can learn the value of average human life? No, he takes her into the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, pisses her off, gets pissed off that she's hard to control, and makes her fight Gotenks. All the while pushing her to catch up to him, both to inherit all his power and to be someone he can fight, even though there's a strong possibility that she'd have never wanted this life if she wasn't pressed into it as a kid.

Add to that knowing about Dragon Balls that can undo everything... I'm not saying Bra isn't a monster here, to be clear. She is. But it's Vegetto's damn fault! She's trying to be what he wants and then getting punished for doing it the wrong way. First, Vegetto foreshadows/hints the Stardust Breaker when talking with Ginyu-Bra about erasing ones soul (Page 1254), and now this. Yeah, when you re-read the whole of DMB up until this point, you realize that she wasnt "Miss grumpy cause my dad is a dick" all the time, she had personality all along. Wasn't anything grandiose, but she was likeable in various degrees. But her character arc went really downhill since the whole Babidi debacle, or even further back when she fought Ginyu Cold, and became an infamous, community wide source of seething contempt, which is sad when you put some thought into it.

On another note, really nice panels on this chapter. BUUUT im getting some major Bojack vs SSJ Gohan vibes here. I think it will be like a manga version of Bojack Movie, where she will get beat up, proceed to turn SSJ2 and obliterate this buffed amazon before going berserk, stopped by Vegito etc. etc.


Nah I mean, I absolutely agree her personality is a bit more in-depth than just a grumpy face, it's just the fact that we rarely get to see that side of her, which is probably why she's become so infamous throughout the community. That said, I don't think her arc went downhill in Budokai Royale, if anything it was a necessary step for her development. Majin Bra is literally everything people who hate her character view her as: annoying, pure evil, incredibly arrogant and ridiculously strong. Her breaking the spell on her own doesn't necessarily mean destroying everything that makes her an inherently bad person, but rather acknowledging it and being self-conscious about all her flaws, which is already a step-forward.

I'd be interested to see this scenario, maybe Cell even got to the Otherworld himself using Instant Transmission to fight the Z fighters for sport since he knew about the place after Goku took him there to self destruct. They're a lot of possibilities but even so Cell clearly prevailed either way.

If he did that it would end really bad for him even if its just after 1/2 year. Goku should have gained SSJ2 by then, and I am sure when Gohan sees Cell again he would get angry enough to transform to SSJ2. That would mean Cell vs SSJ2 Goku & SSJ2 Gohan.

But yeah somehow if these possibilities happened Cell still prevailed somehow.
