Not sure, but I don't think either of them are going to be much help. Didn't Vegito straight up get violently murdered by IKL? XXI has IKL's power so he's kind of a nothing burger. Gast almost got digested so he's pretty useless and South Kai isn't as strong as XXI. He's maybe SSJ3 Perfected level at best.

I was cool with Bra, I even enjoyed her arc. Unlike most. This however is just bad writing. In DB Villains don't just one shot the main characters to show they are tough. Even Perfect Cell didn't just one shot Vegeta. I don't know, this feels kind of cheap. This recap is very nice so far. I quite enjoy it. Total missed opportunity to create a story where this Cell obtains his perfect form by Trunks messing up and going back to the past once more just as the previous Cell blew up, thus that Cell actually dying and the Perfect Cell Gohan has a Kamehameha Battle with was an entirely different version of Cell. ... Convoluted, but I'd be entertained.

Not gonna lie. I love Bra's face in that middle panel. It shows a hint of weakness or innocence. It kind of adds to her character rather than always angry stronger than all.

Lots of people are saying Vegito is going to go visit XXI but XXI is enclosed in what amounts to a pocket dimension. Since from my understanding each and every room is completely cut off from the actual arena. Is that still cannon?

What I think may be happening is that Vegito just sensed a door being opened to U10's door and a certain Raditz is too strong. That would make more sense. THEN XXI gets to him or something. But I'd like to believe he can't just take Vegito easily. It would explain things though. Bra saying nobody can beat Vegito. That'd make perfect sense if XXI takes Vegito, uses him after giving him back his full power and using him against Goku in the last fight. Ultimate form or not, Goku isn't beating Vegito. That would make perfect sense.

Yeah, this one kind of sucks. You really really really have to throw out any and all logic for this one to work. Also that whole "Potara is more powerful than regular fusion" is whoreshit. Akira Toriyama himself stated in interviews that both are equally as powerful as the other. Maybe DBM decided to say "fuck" cannon yet again, which is cool, I mean, their fan manga, whatever, but it's not a very smart move. Of course, making Broly like this is honestly the dumbest move a fan manga can make in and of itself.

Cannon Broly's power was "OVERFLOWING" NOT INFINITELY GROWING. That was a terrible translation error. The original Broly was on a SSJ2 level ish going against SSJ1 Z Fighters hence the hitting him and not doing anything. Same thing happened with Perfect Cell vs Super Vegeta. Man, I forgot all about that Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3 opening movie. OMG I freakin' loved that game and played the ever living HFIL out of it. After putting the first three panels together with that scene I'm super pumped up for a Kamehameha wave next page.

So they trained for a year and clearly that didn't work. Then it states they plan to revive everyone if they can defeat broly. An IF statement isn't a plan, but okay. Then Goku goes on to say it's a suicide mission. Clearly by that statement alone he really doesn't have a plan of any kind, he's just winging it. The final panel of that page, Page 7 has Frieza revived with zero additional training. Like, so great, we have a Fused SSJ1 power and we brought a below SSJ to fight him...? Like, I know you have brain damage Goku, but really?

Pages 8 and 9 have Vegeta telling much less powerful foes that they are now going to be fighting something a billion times stronger than them and too bad if they don't like it. Is that part of the plan? Get rid of old villians while buying time? Seems pretty stupid since everyone can immediately fuse and THEN go get Broly, unless they are planning on the Universe breaking during the fight, but if not that plan is not a plan at all. That'd be like having a toddler go fight Mike Tyson.

Page 10 states Broly is too hacked to just leave in another dimension. Okay, fair. Super Buu did break out of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Page 11 tells Buu no fusion, only to fuse like 10 pages later, so good job. Don't fuse when everyone is at their strongest, fuse after their power is diminished greatly. Let's not teach everyone fusion because that'd be intelligent. Let's let the strongest villains with the best unique powers like Cell's zenkai boost and Frieza's endless potential just go to waste.

And again on Page 12 we see the beginning of needlessly erasing what could have been key participants in the Broly fight. Hell, they could have trained all the villians for that entire year instead. Cell and Frieza could have been raised to at least SS2 level in that time if not stronger than Ultimate Gohan level.

So with that all said, what's the plan? It seems to me the plan is wish in one hand and hit Broly with the other and see which one has an effect, which isn't a plan in the slightest. It's the equivelant of Super's Goku and Vegeta continually travelling to the future to fight Black yet losing each time due to horrific planning.

From page 15 it seems the plan is to just destroy reality and let the Kais fix everything afterward. Not really much of a plan if that's the case. Extremely stupid actually. I mean, if they were intelligent they'd have teleported Broly into the Sun when he first destroyed the Earth. Of course, at this point Broly is beyond hacked so it probably would have failed anyways. 1 Replie(s)

I'll be completely fine with the Universe shattering just before Gogeta can land an actual blow. I'd also be okay with Broly ultimately winning after a super long drawn out fight. I just don't want Broly to be able to one shot this version of Gogeta. That wouldn't make any sense.

Man, I absolutely hate the thought that the Z Fighters just outright die in this Universe too. I'd like to believe at least some survived and went into hiding. I mean, Goku has damn near unlimited potential so Goku discovering SSJ is not out of the realm of possibility. Just in this Universe it may have been triggered by the Androids instead.

I do like the thought of a Future Gohan appearance though.

But most likely Cell did achieve perfection and wiped out most of Humanity. It was said that Gast fought a Bug.

I'm going to be so disappointed if the fusion doesn't work and it turns into a fat imperfect Gogeta.

I'm guessing that is what happens, but it'd be amazing if there is a huge plot twist where Gogeta actually succeeds, but his power is too much and the Universe barrier breaks, thus making the Kais revive everyone and the Vargas come inbetween the revival. Of course Hack Broly doesn't die, so the Kais have to encase him in ice or something.

Oh man, after re reading the last two specials, this is going to be fantastic. I am genuinely excited about this special. Most are hit or miss, especially Bojack and Broly, but this one reminds me of good ole' fashioned original DB. I don't mind if Cell and Majin Buu are skipped over. I just want to see Gast interact with the Earthlings, maybe even drive a car. That would be hilarious and a great reference to one of if not the absolute best DB Anime filler.

That's highly debatable with how Super Buu became leagues stronger than Ultimate Gohan after absorbing Gotenks. Fusion, sure, but I'd say that pretty much canonizes Buu becoming stronger with who he absorbs. Also in DBM continuity Omni Buu also became leagues stronger based on who he absorbed. Even if it was just using the people's abilities that Buu fuses with, technically speaking SSJ is an ability as is Kaoken. So Buu should have access to powerups that raise his power exponentially.

This story is all over the place. First they fuse with Buu and lose so they go "Hey guys, let's fuse with Buu again, but keep our two best fighters out and just absorb some barely SSJ level villians. Like, what? But even if this was the backup plan why did they let Frieza, Cell and Cooler die first? Like, it's 100% cannon that with training Frieza race can be exponentially stronger. So why the Hell didn't they fully absorb everyone right after they all got annihilated by the Black Hole, then have the fully fused Buu train like crazy? Or like, have everyone train including Cell and Frieza?

This plan makes zero sense. I'm guessing they are trying for Gogeta, but still, a Goku and Vegeta fused with Majin Buu should be leagues stronger than Gogeta anyways, unless they are trying to do an all pur energy attack and destroy Broly's soul, but even then, he's a Saiyan, not pure evil. Well, I come and go sometimes. I skipped over a few pages of Broly's chapters and went back and read them as a whole. I'm not a huge fan of DBZ Broly, however, I didn't really complain about the story without giving some ideas the story either left out or plot dictated that mustn't happen. Same with Future Gohan's story.

I've been here for about 5 to 6 years now, maybe more. I think I started right around the time Pan died...I think. It was a year or two before Majin Bra used hacks to defeat everyone. Which I enjoyed greatly despite how stupid everyone fought.

I'm here for the story over everything else. Even if a key event is disappointing or one that is supposed to happen that never seems to like Vegito's meltdown. I enjoy the story overall and I'm invested now. So I come back to see how things play out.

As much as I love this fan manga about how Broly won it just doesn't really make much sense. Especially if this universe is cannon with DBM as a whole. There's like a million ways to off Broly. If Kabitoshin can use teleportation they can just ship broly to the center of the sun. That would shock him for sure. It doesn't make sense that he survived a black hole tbh. Not saying the story of Broly winning isn't good, but you really have to throw out logic and just say "Yep, this Broly is strongest and the heroes are not very intelligent". Meh.

I think training for a year was a great tactic, but why the Hell didn't they train Cell or Frieza? I know DBS isn't cannon, but Frieza not training and becoming extremely strong is. Cell can also get Zenki boosts via a near death experience. They could literally have gotten him up to Broly's level in that year if they'd cheat it. Unlike them in character to do such a thing, but so is losing to Broly of all villians. A villain you can easily push with a beam into the sun. I get it though, this universe is the one out of a million where Broly gets plot armor.
