@ Domitjen: I'm just interpreting what seems to make sense, not what is actually factual. Didn't know about the commercial trailer thing, but it would make sense being that goku didn't master SSj1 yet, if he did, he would have been able to go SSJ2 by then. And yes, I know the word mystic is used lightly, but I just use it as a classification of a Super Saiyan with hair that has not changed gold and then I explain why it isn't gold, it could be called anything you like, but I personally call it that for the reason people call Gohan's black haired Super Saiyan form "Mystic".
My whole point to begin with is that when you transform, there is stress on your body, you are tense and full of adrenalin, that's why their bodies get big. But once you get used to the form, the aura gets lighter, you become less tense and your body goes more and more back to it's original shape while keeping the speed you had in your base form but still using the ki power you accumulated.
Broly is huge because his anger causes his adrenalin to continue to increase, making his ki go up more and more, thus making the stress level on his body intense. The weight is suppose to make his body slower in that form, but I'm guessing he's had so much practice in that form (possibly on planets with more gravity) that he is used to it, either that or he's so insane that he doesn't care that there is stress on his body, he just wants to kill Goku even if it means killing himself in the process. Who knows... but his hair being highlighter green that just means to me that his ki is different then the other Super Saiyans, doesn't necessarily make it a different Super Saiyan form imo. And his eyes are white because his power is maximum, LOL

Ok, in movie 8 he might been like that, but in movie 10, he looks as an regular ssj in the beginning, no green or blue hair and a normal aura, ( when he is in ssj state not lssj), when he goes back to lssj, he also has pupilles again... there isn't really a theory, it's just how they decided to draw him:p

@ Dr. Killjoy- That's all well and good, but Goku doesn't seem to be trying to stay super saiyan just yet in the Broly movie, so he hasn't really perfected it yet, so he is weaker in that sense. I never said he was weaker because of getting beat up. Also, I'm pretty sure Goku put a lot more power into his kamehameha against Cell. Cell was also holding back his power when Goku zapped him and even a while into his fight with Gohan.
Anyway, this is not me saying that Broly is stronger or weaker than Cell, I'm just saying you can't use how well they took the Kamehameha to judge.

If you stop and think about it for even a minute, you'll see just how rediculous your reply to me was just now. Comic pages with Salagir being in the tournament, a saiyan Yajirobe, a gay Vegeta and someone in the audience yelling "First", and the ssj5 thing might be a hint? Get a clue, will ya? It's all a bunch of sillyness and nothing more. I don't have to write the comic or know everything to know what is common sense.

However, in the Broly movie, they don't seem to be doing that. I get the feeling that they were stronger while fighting against Cell than they were fighting against Broly because of that, but I can agree that Cell was weaker than Broly until he reached his super perfect form.
PS: I'm not even reading that explination for Broly's hair. =P

As for the mind control device, that is your theory, just as I have one, it was never stated in that movie that the mind control device changed his hair color. It is to my knowledge (seeing DBZ advertisements and official Akira Toriyama color art for some of the characters) that some saiyans have different color hair that is deeply, deeply dark, for example, Vegeta, his hair is actually a very, very deep crimson red color, but appears black, this theory is not only supported by Vegeta's hair being red in his 1st appearence in DBZ but by lots of concept art I have seen of there being dark red highlights in Vegeta's hair. That's why I thought (seeing dark lavender and some blue in Broly's hair) I came up with that notation. And actually, I know enough about the series to draw these conclusions.

Akira Toriyama and the makers of movie 8 have stated themselves. that the reason broly's hair looked blue/purple at night and had a green tint during the day. when he was in his super saiyan form. was because of the mind control device.
broly braking it after turning into legendary super saiyan form, didn't change this right way (his hair still had a greenish tint)
in movie 10 this was gone, in both his super saiyan and legendary super saiyan form.
and yes i know that in vegeta's first apearance his hair was red. but they changed this later to black as that was easier to color, and looked better

Actually, they colored his hair red at the beginning because Toriyama did not give TOEI any specific hair color or costume color, so they guessed. But then when Toriyama came out with a color page featuring Vegeta, they saw that his hair was actually black, and his suit was blue and white.

Hahaha, the forms of super saiyan in movie 4 and that episode with pikkon are just filler bullshit. Movie 4 was what toei thought super saiyan was gonna be. The form he took in the episode with Pikkon was normal super saiyan originally if I'm not mistaken, and they changed it last minute so when he transformed in front of pikkon it would be more epic.

Add *, / or _ around some text, and it'll format it *bold*, /italic/ or _underlined_.
