@KL nah, Frieza's family is way too proud to ever give up. You remember after the Goku-Frieze fight on Namek Frieze had no legs and one arm, but was still trying to win. Also we need some villains in the later rounds or this tournaments going to get boring really fast. My money is on either a new form, or some cheap trick.

Seriously though, Cooler being alive later doesn't mean he wins his fight.
Any chance on a Janimba universe being a part of this tournament? There are still a few universes that haven't been shown yet, and the fight against Janimba had several chances to go wrong.

@me amputee: Frieza only begged in extreme circumstances when he was alone with Goku. From the looks of it, Cooler won't be sliced into pieces or similarly wounded, and with crowds from various universes around he may very well be too proud to beg. Besides, he'd probably try to pull a dirty attack like Frieza and require death anyway.

I think that Trunks will die in this fight.

I dunno if anyone else has mentioned this but in the very first pages of DBM You can see Cooler, Freeza and King Cold standing fine, meaning that they survive until Broly fights against Vegeto.

I don't think that the first pages are more than only a taste on the comic on whole, IE not really what's going to happen later on. I mean, where are the saibamen right now? They couldn't be registered later on as combattants and I don't think they're just watching the whole thing. As far as I know, I think it was said that it's a taste of what the manga might look like, to make the readers interested in continuing reading the manga. It's a pretty bad move otherwise, to have a fight like this and then spoil it in the beginning or something, and I don't know whether or not Salagir would do such a thing as he seems pretty determined not to spoil stuff in the story. Well, it's up to him or other co-workers to clarify the importance of the first pages before the arrival of the Vargans, but I myself will not see the first pages as decisive proof for the outcome of any battle until then. To me, that would mean that Nappa would win all his fights up to that point, SSJ Super Vegeta, the Namekians since they're standing (since the character being able to stand is a common ground for people to base a win on it seems) even though they pulled out of the battle, and pretty much everyone else around, since they're standing and look well and alive. So no one looses, and all win. That's a great scenario, right?

The ways I think Cooler could get a win against Trunks.


1. Pull a sudden Super Nova(The Sun look like huge energyball thing) attack.

We have to remember though Cooler was absolutely NO MATCH for SSJ1 Goku in terms of power from his first movie, but when he unleashed a Super Nova attack, he was able to "push away" Goku from sky to the land, which was quite a long distance. (Though I'm not sure 'The Battlezone' took place in DBM is almost as big as a planet's size.) If he suddenly use it from the edge of 'The Battlezone', he maybe get a win against Trunks for ringout.



2. Pull a sudden Kienzan (Distructo-disc) attack, from very near range.

None of enemies were safe from this 'ultimate' attack, Krillin was able to cut 2nd form Frieza's tale, In Buu saga, base Goku was also able to cut Gotenks absorbed Buu into two pieces, which were about 3 super saiyan level + @ between them.

I know some people gonna say that perfect cell was able to take no damage from Krilln's Kienzan attack, but that was only happend in the animation.

I'm pretty sure this 'ultimate' attack will be able to cut even USSJ2 Trunks into two pieces, it's unbeatble slicing power is already had proven from the cannon comic. :] (Plus, Android 18's Kienzan attack was also able to cut about half part of Bio Broly's head, which is obviously also overpowered.)


Whithout these two ways, it's pretty obvious Cooler will NEVER stand a chance :[

well at the begining you dont see vegeta from gokus universe i think its universe 18 it just means to show you whos in it and like a prolouge to the matches and also you dont see uub but he hasnt died so dont go by the few pages at the start cooler might be saying would he by chance

Cooler is drawn incorrectly. Body is OK, but head/face isn't as in show. Please take attention to what I'm saying.

After rewatching some stuff, I noticed an error in the design.
Future Trunks, who is fighting Cooler now, the one from the Cell Saga, cut his hair short right before returning to his own time. Seeing past a certain age, the hair of a Saiyan doesn't grow anymore and stays the same, Trunks' hair should still be short seeing this is years after the Cell saga and I doubt he let his hair regrow.
So Trunks should have short hair instead of long hair.

Trunks is a half-saiyan so his hair still grows.

Trunks is going to do Burning attack!

Just because Cooler is alive and well durring the fight in the first few pages that doesn't mean he wins his fight. You people base that on him being alive when Trunks said Cooler was the only one of his family he didn't kill. What makes you think Trunks doesn't let him live? Or maybe Cooler is unable to fight in 30 seconds and Trunks fooled around too much and is now not allowed to kill him? Actually, for all we know, Broly melted and decided to fight right then and there, forcing Vegeto to try and stop him. There's no reason for him to follow the rules, you know?

As for the Cell Jr. and Saibamen, one could be declaired as part of Cell while the other is a weapon. But, for all we know, they were registered and have simply not been created yet. I realise that I am going off the suggestion that the first few pages are what will happen, but after making those first few pages it would be unprofessional not to lead up to that situation. Unless of course events happen differently for us, thus creating yet another universe, but lets try to avoide that time paradox.

Also, HleV is right, Sly. Only pure blood saiyans have that hair condition.

@ mAc Chaos - Cooler could not have wished for immortality in his universe. If he had, then they wouldn't have said that they found Namekians who grant wishes instead of letting themselves be killed. That one line alone shows that they did not make any wishes in their dimension and had killed all of the Namekians. Cooler is mortal.

@ Sly- In the manga, after Trunks and Vegeta walk out of the Room of Spirit and Time for the first time. No filler :)

In manga, when Bulma and Vegeta have their little conversation about Sayans hairs?

In both the manga and in the anime, Vegeta states that saiyan hair is always the same length from birth. Gohan and Trunks have had their hair grow, though. This is because they are only half saiyan.

@ Geno- Yeah, there is something wrong with the face, I just can't put my finger on it...
It's got to be Oolong's bad memory! Just look how he made himself into Bulma at first, fat, short and hideous- he needed a second try but here he had to transform in one try to be convincing to the crowd. Good thing he learned to manipulate ki though. By my estimations this battle will be done for in less than 5 minutes, as that's as long that Oolong can hold his shapes. That is, if he hasn't improved. I mean, he can shoot beams now. AND manipulate his ki to be strong enough to make Trunks notice. "His ki is stronger now..." or something in that line. Yeah. That's my hypothesis.

The thing that's weird about cooler's face are his eyes that are supposed to be simply red blank spots instead of actual eyes like with every other character. Actually it's just his mask that isn't supposed to reach the center of his eyes.

They also forgot the "blades" on his forearms and the "gems" on his shins and forearms are supposed to be 2 on each side, instead of 1 in the front.

PS: On the 4th pannel of this page, his left lower chest piece is grey instead of white. Just pointing out... :)

@ Sly- Well, he's a difficult character to draw, there's a lot of details on that fella. Those are understandable errors. Thanks for pointing out what's different with this Cooler!

Guys look carefully to Coolers arm in his final state. In the anime he had some kind of tentacle in his arm. But here its missing. I think you guys missed it when drawing Cooler. You shud correct it next time. And btw you guys rock. Really cool drawings. I like it so much. Thx guys.

Not difficult at all. The one who's drawing Cooler just needs to know how does he look like. That's all.

I know that, héhé, I know that. But like hleV said, if you have talents like these guys, it shouldn't be too hard. They're minor things, so if you see what they can do, then those things are piece of cake.
