From my perspective i think its near impossible to decide, I know wizard decided it would be goku who could beat superman and i can see why, generally the main media projection of superman is that he's strong and can fly. With goku the first thing that comes to people's head is a overwhelming super powered attack that utterly overwhelms everything. Superman was based on a western ideal, goku was based on Sun Wung (spelt right?) the monkey king who's single jump took him across the universe and into infinite. So if we wanted to be nerdy about it we could have superman prime up against the monkey king and sadly for superman prime the monkey king is a more outrageously powerful figure then the writers could ever come up with to strengthing superman.

So if were looking at various incarnations of the two heroes to see who is stronger then forget it, its childish almost. One example was I debated on a comic forum on how the JL elite comic characters would fare against DBZ: 17 and 18. What do i get? Someone not focusing on that continiuity and picking characters from another series who are far more powered. This endless series of fallback to other varations lead to nowhere.

At best its always best to pick on the key traits as they are almost never changed.

Now i know goku had a virus and like nearly all foes, can be destroyed by the sun or can't take its heat but has a energy that could vap planets with ease. whilst superman can take the heat of the sun and has sun heat vision but can be shot down by kyrptionite bullets and the guy who killed him (doomsday) hasn't destroyed a planet. This is where the versions of superman collide with goku. I say that because there is only one version of goku but with superman there are about 3-4 and even they conflict with the general media projection let alone themselves. I follow the JL elite comics and when superman says that j'onn is stronger then him I take that as fact but those who read other comics may not. There is the matter that superman is dammed by being drawn into events that are connected with the real world ie: 9/11. As one friend put it politely.

'I don't care if superman can hear a mouse fart in china or if Batman has survillance in every one of vandal savage facilties. They count for squat if one can't stop 9/11 or find bin laden'

I don't buy that superman can wipe out a solar system or can juggle planets if batman is able to beat him or is dammed by a rock. There is no definate incarnation of superman, they either thow in one bunch of powers or subtract it the next. For every planet juggle there is a planet vap ability, goku's limit is unkown. He defeated cooler, who himself would have destroyed the sun if he got off his own attack. And even the androids are stronger then him, if we are to go on that basis and if so then what can they destroy? We have simply one (superman) with a lst of various measurements of power v one (goku) who has had no measurement of power. It just can't be settled.

The only thing that can be decided is at the moment the gerneral image of superman is a limited one compared to goku because the popular view of superman is not one who pushes planets but one who is just strong and fast. With goku its a little bit more.

Harsh but true, just as its true that my beloved liverpool may still not be able to win the premier league!

BTW: To solve who is stronger really fast then i suggest tenchi from tenchi muyo is thrown in to clobber the two of them! (He has a shlallow personality but hs power is absoulete and no kame or planet throwing will change that!

Well then he "fanboy squabbled" as well. I didn't find his post more interesting than any other post and not better either. I don't see how his post was all that different from all other's posts. Way to proclaim one's imagined "superiority" on one subject against others. That's what I'm, as you crudely put it, "butthurt" about.

Korgeta's post is the one that's well put, Salagir just put up some stuff and considered his post not to be a "fanboy squabble", which by his definition, it actually was. Besides, he just said what Kami-Sama said in other words (that Superman is differently strong in different DC universes, which every Joe should know when discussing Superman Vs. Goku). Even considering that, which I thought was taken for granted when beginning discussing on my behalf, I still believe that Goku would win against each incarnation eventually, as that's his natural trait. Still Salagir offensively considered mine and many others' posts to be "fanboy squabble" (as well as you did) since he presumed that no one but his fancy self knew about something as basic as Superman's different forms in different universes.

If people don't by default know about Superman and the DC universes when starting a Superman Vs X discussion, then this discussion, with the exception of Korgeta's last post, is below standards.

Who would win between Supes and Goku depends on which Supes and which Goku you're talking about. Modern Superman would have a tough fight against 23rd Budokai Goku. Pre-Crisis Superman would kill SSJ4 Gogeta by sneezing on him.

Ok, just like there are many universes in this comic with other Goku's there are different Superman's in different universes. Let's take the Superman from whenever he was the strongest. I think someone said it was when he was in the Sun for 15,000 and our Goku from our timeline. Superman got 15,000 years to sleep and do nothing. Give Goku 15,000 years of training and gaining experience in battle. I say Goku would come out on top but there is no way to know or that we will ever know.

to add my two cents with korgeta goku can take energy from the sun like in movie 4. also i wonder why no one matches superman against broly,buu,shenron, or big bad mystic gohan. as for other hyper powered anime chars id say sailor moon and friends, pain and the kyuubi.

Superman vs Brolly would be the fight of all fights, it would make an entertaining fanfiction story, the reasoning for the fight would be very easy but it would come with a scenario with how do you beat a ever increasing power?

I think modern/common concept of superman can beat goku, its not beyond him however it would be a challenge (as i say that goku is stronger) but Goku is not unbeatable. The margin of power between goku and superman is paper thin but even that is a gulf divide between the two powers. However brolly provides more of a story and a danger.

Goku has surpassed Brolly in power. Brolly does not even think. He is like the Hulk. Just rage smashing.

@krump&dbz4lyfe- Shenron is weak. Piccolo Daimaoah killed him off with a single energy beam after he got his wish for youth, forcing Goku to seek out Kami and get his help to resurrect Shenron after he beat him. That led to the event of Goku training under him.
The Kyuubi and Pain are very strong, but they would in my opinion only be able to defeat the modern Superman (23rd Budokai Goku as Xyex said). Their skills in that universe as ninjas aren't sufficient enough for more. Well, I would consider them being able to beat Goku Vs. Raditz at most, but no further. The Kyuubi is in my opinion borderline in strength and skills between Goku Vs. Raditz and Goku Vs. Nappa.

I appreciate the argument here (in that case, I am a fanboy as well :P) - but wouldn't it be easier for all of us, if discussions like this would be continued in message boards (like daizex or something) instead of doing it here among the comments to a fanmade manga that doesn't have anything to do with "Superman vs. Goku" or something?

I mean, this is really getting out of hand and to me there were some interesting questions (like what will happen to Uubs arm) that got lost on the way thanks to Superman ;)

The 3th match of Uub probably is against South Kaioshin (if South Kaioshin wins of Majin Buu, and I think he will) and maybe South Kaioshin will heal Uub.

And we all know that Suppaman will win of Superman ;)

I agree things are getting a bit far (It is christmas after all!) and some just need to chill a bit. Until we have a forum then let's put the debate to one side, I don't want to sound high and mighty but some bits have gone off the rail somewhat and as megaman has pointed out 'what about uub and his arm?'

Salgar and gogeta jr have worked hard, they don't get paid for it yet still spend time on it. This art style of fan comic is rare and whatever reservations some may feel about the authors, they do overall have great respect for them. You should show the same because it is not your site for staters.

No the Kyuubi and Pain does not even come close to Raditz and Nappa. Raditz was at 1200-1500 and already was fast enough to dodge Piccolo's "Light of Death" which is supposed to be faster than light. And Nappa destroys everything by raising his 2 fingers(don't know the name). Hell even Piccolo blew up the moon by a single Ki blast at the beginning of DBZ so "Oozaru-Gohan" would turn back to normal.

Even Demon King Piccolo is enough to tame the Kyuubi. Please there are NO Naruto characters that can stand up to any Z-characters and Superman.

Even at the beginning of Dragonball Z and flashbacks, the Saiyans have been blowing up planets. Example King Vegeta in a flashback, he blew up a planet and 2 moons by raising his arm up.

i was being sarcastic with pain and the kyuubi. my bad for almost starting another argument. ill end it by saying naruto and friends can fairly go against mortal kombat. oh and i agree that all debates should wait till theres a forum.
